The English website of the Islamic magazine - Al-Mujtama.
A leading source of global Islamic and Arabic news, views and information for more than 50 years.
The Palestinian resistance in Gaza writes a history of struggle and steadfastness that will undoubtedly serve as a guide for the youth in the Arab and Islamic world, planting the seeds of jihad and excellence in the hearts of future generations.
“Al-Mujtama” presented the topic for discussion with several scholars and experts to draw lessons from the “Al-Aqsa Flood” and Gaza's resistance against great powers supporting the Zionist enemy.
Utilizing All Means
Dr. Muhammad Abdul Daim Al-Jundi, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Dawah at Al-Azhar University, emphasizes that the youth of the Ummah should learn from the heroes of the resistance the proper reliance on Allah and the utilization of all possible means of strength. Didn't Allah say to Muslims at all times and places: “And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Al-Anfal: 60)
Faith in Allah, Love for Martyrdom, and Utilizing Means as Success Factors
He added that the heroes of the resistance provided a unique moral lesson not only for the youth of Arabs and Muslims but for all humanity. The released prisoners' confessions of good treatment and extreme kindness during their captivity have led many non-Muslims, including some Jews, to read more about the ethics of wars in Islam, with some converting out of complete conviction, becoming defenders of Islam after having been its enemies due to the deception of the Zionist media machine. Allah the Almighty indeed says, “They want to extinguish the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah refuses except to perfect His light, although the disbelievers dislike it.” (At-Tawbah: 32)
Planning and Collectiveness
Dr. Mukhtar Ghabashi, Deputy Head of the Arab Center for Political and Strategic Studies, states that the creativity of the youth of the resistance in methods of confrontation that started with stones, Molotov cocktails, and fireworks in previous intifadas to stabbing and ramming attacks, and then the development of local manufacturing for armament and the employment of science and innovation, are among the most important pillars and lessons of self-reliance.
He adds that the resistance taught us the lesson of collective work because Allah's hand is with the group, and the youth of Islam do not gather on falsehood. Therefore, we saw the youth of the resistance from all factions and groups unite under the banner of Islam, practically implementing Allah’s words: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you - when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.” (Aal-Imran: 103)
Local Manufacturing of Weapons and Ammunition Behind the Epic of Steadfastness
One of the lessons learned is the love for martyrdom, which the Palestinians prefer over the world with all its pleasures. They believe they will achieve one of the two best outcomes - at the very least, victory or martyrdom, or both, with Allah's will, despite the global betrayal of their cause except for the few who still possess humanity and mercy.
Legendary Faith
Dr. Huda Darwish, Professor and Head of the Department of Comparative Religions at the Institute of Asian Studies at Zagazig University, believes that the youth of the resistance have shattered the myth of the Zionist enemy. The unprecedented boldness of the resistance heroes in confronting the occupation and their love for martyrdom underscores their pride in national dignity, facing the Zionist enemy's advanced weaponry and American support with the Arab surroundings' betrayal. They have confidence in Allah's victory because His promise is true. He says, “Permission [to fight] has been given to those who are being fought because they were wronged. And indeed, Allah is competent to give them victory. Those who have been evicted from their homes without right - only because they say, 'Our Lord is Allah.' And were it not that Allah checks the people, some by means of others, there would have been demolished monasteries, churches, synagogues, and mosques in which the name of Allah is much mentioned. And Allah will surely support those who support Him. Indeed, Allah is Powerful and Exalted in Might.” (Al-Hajj: 39-40)
She pointed out that the youth of the resistance presented an outstanding example of high morale amid an “Ummah like froth on the river” that believes the Zionist army is unbeatable, and that the people of Palestine should accept crumbs and the status quo, no matter how humiliating and degrading. Amid this betrayal, the heroes trusted in Allah's victory, reminding us of the generations of the Companions and the Followers who rejected any betrayal or influence by what the contemporary cowards and hypocrites say.
Knowledge, Planning, and Collective Work Shattered the Zionist Enemy's Dignity
She added that the weapon of faith and trust in Allah was present, and the high morale was a formidable barrier, in addition to submitting to Allah's decree, patience, and perseverance - factors that are impossible to defeat. What we see on the ground in the field is the best witness. As for the open treasuries of money and Western and American weapons for the new Nazis, Allah has determined their fate: “Indeed, those who disbelieve spend their wealth to avert [people] from the way of Allah. So they will spend it; then it will be for them a [source of] regret; then they will be overcome. And those who have disbelieved - unto Hell they will be gathered. [This is] so that Allah may distinguish the wicked from the good and place the wicked some of them upon others and heap them all together and put them into Hell. It is those who are the losers.” (Al-Anfal: 36-37)
