Massive Destruction and Loss of Life

The Israeli war on Gaza has been going on for 78 days now, and it's causing a lot of destruction and loss of life. Videos from Al Jazeera show the horrifying scenes of bombed buildings and bodies in the streets. The Washington Post even said that the level of destruction caused by Israel is unlike anything we've seen in a long time.

Loss of Contact with 5 Israeli POW

Abu Ubaida, a spokesperson for the military wing of Hamas, announced that they have lost contact with a group responsible for 5 Israeli prisoners. They believe that these prisoners may have been killed in the bombings.

Ground Operation and More Casualties

Israeli tanks have started a ground operation in the Gaza Strip, near the border with Egypt. The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that in the past 24 hours, 201 people have been killed and 368 have been injured. Since the start of the war, there have been a total of 20,258 deaths and 53,688 injuries.

Hunger and Famine in Gaza

The Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) has confirmed that people in Gaza are facing hunger and are even selling their possessions to get food. The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) also stated that more than 80% of children in Gaza suffer from acute food poverty.

The military wings of Hamas and the Jihad movement have been carrying out operations against the Israeli occupation army. They have destroyed tanks, targeted soldiers, and caused heavy losses to the Israeli forces.

The Israeli army has reported that 5 officers and soldiers were killed in battles in Gaza. On the northern border, there have been clashes between Lebanese Hezbollah and the Israeli army. Hezbollah has targeted Israeli barracks and sites along the Palestinian-Lebanese border.

There are talks of a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, but there are still major differences. Israel has offered a week-long truce in exchange for the release of 35 detainees.
