 Hamas Responds to Threats

Hamas, the Islamic Resistance Movement, dismissed the threats made by Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant. Galant claimed that his soldiers were planning to kill resistance leaders. Hamas called these threats "empty" and a sign of failure on Israel's part.

Empty Threats

Hamas stated that Galant's threats were meant to create a false sense of accomplishment. They believe that these empty threats show that Israel has not been successful in achieving their goals in the war.

Failure to Achieve Goals

Hamas added that Galant's threats are a clear indication of his failure to achieve anything other than killing innocent civilians and destroying civilian buildings. They believe that Israel's aggression against Gaza has not accomplished its intended objectives.

Targeting Hamas Leadership

Israeli officials, including Galant, have specifically targeted Yahya Sinwar, the leader of Hamas in Gaza. They claimed that Sinwar would soon face the Israeli Defense Forces. Israeli Channel 13 even reported that Israeli forces had been close to capturing Sinwar on December 19.

Focus on Gaza Strip

The Israeli army has been concentrating its efforts in the south of the Gaza Strip, particularly in Khan Yunis, in an attempt to reach the Hamas leadership. They claim to have made progress in their pursuit operations.

Devastating Aggression

Since October 7, the Israeli army has been carrying out a destructive aggression against the Gaza Strip. This has resulted in over 20,000 deaths, with a majority being children and women. More than 53,000 people have been injured, and there has been extensive damage to infrastructure. The situation has created an unprecedented humanitarian crisis, according to local authorities and the United Nations.
