Israeli Forces Give Up Control

According to a report, elite Israeli forces have relinquished control of a neighborhood in Gaza City after suffering significant casualties. The 13th Battalion of Israel's Golani Brigade handed over control of the Shujaiya neighborhood to another force, as reported by the London-based al-Araby al-Jadeed news outlet, citing Israel's Channel 13.

Strategic Importance of Shujaiya

The Shujaiya neighborhood is known for being a challenging area for Israeli forces. It is home to the strategically important Tell al-Muntar hill, which overlooks the entire Gaza City and serves as the gateway to Gaza.

Heavy Losses Inflicted by Palestinian Resistance

The Israeli forces' withdrawal from Shujaiya followed a successful operation by the al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, the Palestinian resistance movement based in Gaza. The resistance fighters inflicted heavy losses on the Golani Brigade, resulting in the deaths of at least 10 members and serious injuries to four others, including mid-level officers.

Israeli Troopers Killed in Gaza War

The Israeli military confirmed that ten of its troopers were killed during the ongoing aggression against the besieged Gaza Strip. This comes as part of the Israeli regime's relentless war on Gaza since October 7.

Long-lasting Resistance

Gaza's resistance groups have vowed to continue defending their territory against the Israeli onslaught. They are prepared for a prolonged war against the occupying regime, as they refuse to surrender in the face of aggression.
