The situation in Jenin, a city in the northern West Bank, has been getting worse. The occupation forces have been involved in armed clashes with Palestinian resistance fighters, resulting in casualties and injuries.
Attack on Homes and Streets
The occupation forces have been using Energa shells to bomb homes in Jenin. They have also been bulldozing streets and destroying properties in the city and the surrounding areas.
Restrictions on Movement
The Israeli forces have surrounded important places like Jenin Governmental Hospital, Ibn Sina Hospital, and the headquarters of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society. They have even prevented ambulances from moving freely without prior coordination.
Heavy Presence of Israeli Forces
Israeli drones have been flying over Jenin, and there are sniper teams stationed on rooftops and inside the camp. The occupation forces have also deployed a large number of vehicles and soldiers in the area.
Fire in Jenin Camp
During the attacks, a house in the Jenin camp caught fire after being bombed by the occupation forces.
Tragic Incident in Psagot Settlement
In another unfortunate event, a young Palestinian man was killed by occupation forces in the Psagot settlement, located east of the city of Al-Bireh in the West Bank.
Recent Developments
The Israeli escalation in Jenin coincided with the second phase of a prisoner exchange between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas). This exchange is part of a truce agreement in the Gaza Strip, which is expected to last for four days.
Human Cost of the Conflict
Since the start of the Al-Aqsa Flood Battle on October 7, the number of martyrs in the West Bank has reached approximately 235, with nearly 3,000 people wounded. The Palestinian Prisoners Club has also reported an increase in the number of detainees in the West Bank, which now stands at 3,160.
