Day 132: Attacks on Hospitals and Medical Centers

On the 132nd day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the occupation forces continued to target hospitals and medical centers in the Strip. They bombed the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis.

Meanwhile, there were ongoing movements and discussions about a prisoner exchange deal between the Palestinian resistance and Israel. The situation also escalated in the West Bank, as well as on the southern Lebanon and Red Sea fronts.

Massacres and Casualties

According to Al Jazeera, dozens of people were killed and injured in an Israeli bombing of a camp and a street in the center of Gaza City and its eastern neighborhood. At least 12 Palestinians, including 7 children, were killed in a bombing that targeted a house in the Nuseirat camp. In the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, a young Palestinian man was killed and 3 others were wounded in a bombing by the occupation forces. In central Gaza City, at least 3 people were killed and 5 others were injured in a bombing that targeted civilians, residential buildings, and cars on Al-Jalaa Street. In Khan Yunis, a Palestinian was killed and several others were wounded in a bombing that targeted the orthopedic department of the Nasser Medical Complex.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that within 24 hours, the occupation army committed 9 massacres, resulting in 87 deaths and 104 injuries. Since October 7, the number of victims of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip has risen to 28,663 deaths and 68,395 injuries.

Losses to the Occupation

The Israeli army announced the killing of a soldier and the serious injury of an officer and two soldiers in the paratroopers unit. They also reported that 11 soldiers were wounded in battles during the past 24 hours. The Israeli Ministry of Defense stated that the Medical Rehabilitation Department had treated more than 5,500 wounded since the beginning of the war on the Gaza Strip. The Rehabilitation Department is preparing to receive 20,000 wounded this year, compared to 5,500 wounded received last year since the start of the war.

Prisoner Exchange Deal

Regarding negotiations for a prisoner exchange deal, the War Council and the expanded government will hold separate meetings tonight. CIA Director William Burns arrived in Israel to discuss negotiations with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Mossad Director David Barnea. Qatar is still waiting for Hamas to respond to Israel's position on the exchange deal. The main point of disagreement is the withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, and Israel rejected a proposal by Hamas to release a large number of Palestinian prisoners. Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh emphasized that any agreement must guarantee a ceasefire, the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza, and the completion of a serious exchange deal.

Raids and Arrests in the West Bank

In the occupied West Bank, the Israeli occupation forces continued their raids and attacks on Palestinians in various cities. They arrested at least 20 Palestinians, including a child and former prisoners from Bethlehem, Tulkarm, Nablus, Jenin, and Jerusalem. The number of detainees in the occupied West Bank has risen to 7,400 Palestinians since October 7, 2023. The occupation army claimed to have arrested 3,100 Palestinians in the West Bank since the beginning of the war on Gaza.

Bombing and Deaths in Southern Lebanon

Hezbollah mourned the deaths of 3 of its members who were killed in an Israeli bombing in southern Lebanon. The number of Hezbollah deaths since the start of the border exchange of fire on October 8th rose to 198. The Israeli army reported that it killed the main commander of the Radwan Force, Muhammad Al-Debs, and his deputy, Hassan Ibrahim Issa. Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant stated that the army had escalated one level out of 10 in its conflict with Hezbollah. Mutual bombardment continues across the Lebanese-Israeli border.

Maritime Accident and Houthi Threats

A cargo tanker was targeted by a missile in the Red Sea, causing minor damage. The leader of the Ansar Allah group (Houthis), Abdul Malik al-Houthi, stated that their naval attacks will continue as long as the Israeli aggression in Gaza continues. He blamed the Americans for the destruction and crimes in Gaza, claiming that the Israeli occupier would not have caused such destruction without American support.
