Continued Israeli Aggression

On the 130th day of the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, the occupation forces continued to bomb many areas in the Strip, causing destruction in Rafah and Khan Yunis. In Rafah, the occupation army blew up an entire residential square. Additionally, two journalists from Al Jazeera, Ismail Abu Omar and Ahmed Matar, were seriously injured when an Israeli drone targeted them in the Mirage area.

Political Developments

There are concerns about the devastating consequences for civilians if the Israeli army begins its military operation in Rafah. A quadrilateral meeting has started in Cairo, Egypt, with representatives from Israel, the United States, and the Egyptian and Qatari mediators. They are discussing a new truce deal and an exchange of prisoners.

Nasser Medical Complex Under Fire

The Israeli occupation army besieged Nasser Medical Hospital in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. They demolished its wall, bombed its surroundings, and asked the displaced people inside to evacuate. Tragically, a child was killed by Israeli sniper fire in front of the hospital gate. The Israeli army continues to fire smoke and incendiary shells around and inside the hospital.

Targeting of Journalists

Al Jazeera correspondent Ismail Abu Omar and photographer Ahmed Matar were seriously injured after being targeted by an Israeli drone. Abu Omar lost his right leg and sustained severe injuries throughout his body. Al Jazeera Media Network condemned the deliberate targeting of its crew and called for immediate measures to protect journalists in the Gaza Strip.

Escalation in the Red Sea

The Houthis fired two missiles at a cargo ship bound for Iran in the Red Sea, causing minor damage. The US Central Command confirmed the incident. The Houthis also claimed that American and British fighter jets launched raids on Hodeidah Governorate on the Red Sea coast.

Increase in Casualties

The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the number of victims of the Israeli aggression has risen to 28,473 martyrs and 68,146 injured since October. The ministry stated that there are still victims under the rubble and on the roads, and the occupation prevents rescue crews from reaching them.

Bombings in Rafah and Warning of Invasion

Israeli aircraft and artillery bombed various areas in Rafah, and there are concerns about a possible ground operation in the city. Palestinian officials and the United Nations Secretary-General expressed worries about the devastating consequences of such an attack.

Violence in the West Bank

The Israeli occupation army stormed the city of Jenin in the West Bank, resulting in minor injuries to two soldiers. They also carried out raids in other cities and camps, leading to the death of a young Palestinian man in Qalqilya.

Resistance Operations

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, targeted Israeli soldiers in separate ambushes, resulting in casualties on both sides. The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, also engaged in clashes with the occupation forces.
