Israeli Army Updates
On the 96th day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the occupation army reported that 17 officers and soldiers were wounded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 192 since the start of the ground operation.
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken announced an agreement with Israel to send a UN mission to northern Gaza to assess the situation of the displaced. However, the Wall Street Journal reported that Washington rejected proposals to settle Palestinians outside of Gaza.
Number of Casualties
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that the death toll from the Israeli aggression has risen to 23,357, with 59,410 others injured since the start of the war on October 7th. In the last 24 hours alone, 147 Palestinians were killed, and rescue crews are struggling to reach victims still trapped under rubble.
Aqaba Summit
A tripartite summit was held in Aqaba, Jordan, with the participation of Jordanian King Abdullah II, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The summit called for continued pressure to stop the Israeli aggression and protect Palestinian civilians. They also rejected attempts to separate Gaza and the West Bank and warned against reoccupying parts of the Gaza Strip or establishing safe zones there.
Israeli Incursions into the West Bank
The Israeli army conducted massive incursions into cities, towns, and camps in the occupied West Bank, alongside the ongoing aggression against Gaza. The raids targeted various locations, including Jenin, Tulkarm, Nablus, Jericho, Ramallah, Al-Bireh, Bethlehem, and Hebron.
Losses to the Israeli Army
The Israeli army reported that 17 officers and soldiers were injured in the Gaza battles in the past 24 hours. Yesterday, nine officers and soldiers were killed, and 27 others were wounded.
Houthi Attack in Yemen
British Defense Secretary Grant Shapps stated that the recent attack by the Houthis in Yemen, which targeted American and British forces in the Red Sea, was the largest attack carried out by the group. The United Kingdom and its allies consider these attacks illegal and unacceptable and warned of consequences if they continue.
Restrictions on Israeli Minister
The Israeli Supreme Court issued a temporary decision preventing National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir from issuing orders to the police. This decision came after his instructions to prevent a demonstration against the war on Gaza.
Tense Meetings for Blinken
During his visit to Israel, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken had tense meetings with Israeli officials. He stated that the Palestinians have ambitions that need to be accepted and that it is impossible to completely eliminate the Hamas movement. Blinken also informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington rejects proposals to resettle Palestinians outside of Gaza.
Emergency Preparations in Israeli Hospitals
The Israeli Ministry of Health directed all hospitals in Israel to be prepared to switch to emergency mode within 24 hours. Hospitals were ordered to prepare for a potential influx of thousands of injured people and to be ready for a situation where they may be without medical supplies, medicines, and food for days.
