Israeli Army Suffers Heavy Losses
On the 95th day of the Israeli war on Gaza, the Israeli army reported that 9 officers and soldiers were killed and 27 others were injured in the past 24 hours. The army also expanded its operations in Khan Yunis in the south, while facing resistance in the north.
The Israeli army continued to target civilians in different areas of Gaza, causing casualties and destruction. It also conducted new incursions into the occupied West Bank.
Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken started discussions with Israeli officials about the next phase of the war. At the same time, Tel Aviv announced its intention to reduce the pace of its operations in Gaza.
Resistance Operations
The military wing of Hamas, called the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, reported that they destroyed 42 Israeli military vehicles and killed 22 soldiers in close combat. They also carried out 52 missions targeting Israeli forces with missiles and anti-fortified devices, resulting in the death and injury of dozens of soldiers.
The Al-Qassam Brigades announced that they successfully thwarted an Israeli attempt to free prisoners and targeted an Israeli force in Bani Suhaila, east of Khan Yunis. They also destroyed an Israeli Merkava tank, considered one of the strongest tanks in the world.
The military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, called the Al-Quds Brigades, bombed an Israeli field command headquarters using mortar shells.
Israeli Raids on Gaza
Israeli aircraft launched raids on several towns in the central Gaza Strip, while Israeli fighters conducted violent raids on Khan Yunis in the south. Palestinian survivors trapped in a school appealed to the Red Cross for help in retrieving the bodies of five family members.
23,210 Martyrs and 59,167 Injured
Doctors Without Borders reported that one of their shelters in Khan Yunis was hit by a shell, endangering the lives of more than 100 employees and their families.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza stated that 57 people were killed and 65 injured in the past 24 hours due to Israeli bombings. The total number of casualties since the start of the aggression reached 23,210 martyrs and 59,167 injured.
Escalation in the West Bank
Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh described the situation in the West Bank as dangerous, with more than 350 martyrs since the start of the war. Israeli media reported that security leaders warned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu about a potential major escalation in the West Bank.
Israeli forces killed a Palestinian who was allegedly attempting a stabbing attack. They also conducted raids in several cities and villages, resulting in the injury of 14 Palestinians.
In Tulkarm, the funeral processions of three martyrs took place, who were assassinated by the occupation forces.
Tension on the Lebanon Front
Tensions escalated on the southern Lebanese border as Hezbollah and the Israeli army engaged in mutual bombing operations. The Israeli military confirmed the assassination of a Hezbollah air unit official.
Hezbollah targeted Israeli occupation soldiers and military sites using guided missiles. They caused casualties among Israeli ranks and destroyed spy equipment.
Missiles were fired from southern Lebanon towards Israeli positions in the occupied Shebaa Farms and Kfarshouba hills.
