Israeli War on Gaza: Journalists Targeted, Gaza Battles, and Developments in the West Bank
During the 93rd day of the Israeli war on Gaza, journalists became the new targets. Two journalists, Hamza Al-Dahdouh and Mustafa Thuraya, were killed in the fighting between the resistance and the occupation forces. In addition, there were clashes and casualties in the West Bank.
Gaza Martyrs (22,835)
The government media office in Gaza reported that the death toll had risen to 22,835 martyrs and 58,416 wounded since the beginning of the war. Many Palestinians lost their lives due to Israeli bombings in different regions of Gaza.
Targeting Journalists
Journalists Hamza Al-Dahdouh, Mustafa Thuraya, Hazem Rajab, and Ali Abu Ajwa were either killed or injured in Israeli bombings. The number of martyred journalists has reached 110 since the start of the war. Al Jazeera Media Network strongly condemned these attacks and promised to take legal action against the perpetrators.
Gaza Battles
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that they destroyed two Israeli tanks, a troop carrier, and a bulldozer in the Al-Maghazi and Al-Bureij camps. They also reported the explosion of two tunnels and a minefield with occupation soldiers. Clashes between the resistance and the Israeli army extended to different areas in the central region of Gaza.
Developments in the West Bank
In the West Bank, two Israeli policemen were injured in a run-over operation, and the suspect was killed along with a Palestinian woman and a 3-year-old girl. There were also clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and Israeli forces in Jenin, resulting in casualties. The situation remains tense in the West Bank.
Lebanon Front
The Israeli army confirmed damage to the Meron air control base caused by Hezbollah's missile attacks. Hezbollah targeted the base in response to the assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, a Hamas leader. The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah continues along the border.
Qatari-American Talks
The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken met in Doha to discuss the need for an immediate ceasefire and the protection of civilians in Gaza. They also discussed preventing the escalation of the conflict in the region. Blinken emphasized the right of displaced Palestinians to return to their homes in Gaza and criticized Israeli officials who called for their displacement outside the Gaza Strip.
