More than 6.3 million people in Sudan have been forced to leave their homes because of a big fight between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces? It's really sad to hear about so many people having to leave their homes because of this fighting.

What's Happening?

The International Organization for Migration, which helps people who have to leave their homes, said that the fighting in Sudan is causing a lot of problems for regular people. They say that many people are being treated badly, forced to leave their homes, and even killed. It's really not fair for innocent people to suffer because of this fighting.

How Many People Are Affected?

The International Organization for Migration also said that a lot of people in Sudan have been affected by this fighting. They have a special system to keep track of how many people have had to leave their homes. According to their system, around 4,955,538 people have been forced to leave their homes and move to different places within Sudan. That's a huge number!

People Fleeing to Neighboring Countries

Not only are people leaving their homes within Sudan, but many are also running away to other countries nearby. Since this fighting started in mid-April 2023, around 1,373,223 people have fled to countries like Chad, South Sudan, and Egypt. That's a lot of people looking for safety in other places.

How Long Has This Been Going On?

This fighting between the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces has been happening since mid-April 2023. It's been going on for a long time, and sadly, many people have lost their lives. The United Nations and other groups have tried to stop the fighting, but they haven't been successful yet. It's really important for everyone to work together to find a peaceful solution.
