The world, which has failed to protect children and infants in Gaza from death by burning, starvation, and the most horrific types of American explosives, is witnessing the announcement of an agreement between the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and "Israel" regarding a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and a prisoner exchange after 465 days of destruction and killing.
There is no doubt that Trump, by appointing Steve Witkoff, a clever Jewish negotiator with extensive experience in the art of negotiation, imposed the deal on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu after the "Israeli" society failed to convince him to stop the genocidal war. Trump came to impose this deal on Netanyahu after the failure of the occupation forces, supported by the mightiest Western powers, to subdue the Palestinians in Gaza, following the steadfastness of Beit Hanoun, Jabalia, and Khan Younis, after 50,000 Palestinian lives were lost, most of whom were women and children in Gaza, and the fall of hundreds of thousands of injured, after the destruction and devastation resulting from the genocide war that historical records have not witnessed.
Israeli failure and resistance victory
The declared goal of "Israel" in its genocidal war in Gaza was to eliminate the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and annex Gaza and the West Bank, to release the prisoners; and now what has happened? Has "Israel" managed to liberate any of the prisoners? Has it succeeded in destroying the "Hamas" movement? Has it succeeded in eliminating the Palestinians?
Trump, by appointing Steve Witkoff, is the one who imposed this deal.
What is happening now proves that the resistance has refuted all "Israeli" claims and debunked the myth of American military technological superiority. It has demonstrated that resistance, with its locally manufactured military capabilities under siege and starvation, can subdue the mightiest military forces in the world. It has established itself at the negotiation table and proven that it represents the axis of truth against the axis of falsehood and darkness.
The "Israeli" occupiers wanted a new catastrophe for the Palestinians, but the catastrophe they planned for Gaza turned into a disaster for themselves, with massive economic destruction, casualties on their side, and the resistance's rockets reaching their very homes, marking another failure in front of the resilient resistance in Gaza.
On August 15, 2005, "Israel" began evacuating its settlements from the Gaza Strip after suffering heavy losses from the resistance, evacuating 21 settlements that occupied about 35% of the Gaza Strip, which does not exceed an area of 360 square kilometers. At that time, thousands of Palestinians emerged rejoicing and hoping for a better life after 38 years of occupation of this small coastal enclave that began with the June 1967 setback. Now they are emerging defeated and humiliated once again.
What they do not realize is that behind every leader stand thousands of leaders, and behind every martyr stand thousands of heroes. "Hamas" cannot be defeated through military solutions because it defends the truth against falsehood, and it defends its land and honor, and the honor of a complacent nation. It carries the banner of truth against occupation, oppression, brutality, and savagery, because it has shown the world the civilized face of Muslims through its good, dignified treatment of "Israeli" prisoners, while the world has witnessed the inhumane and brutal treatment of Palestinian prisoners by the Zionists.
"Israel" has mobilized half a million fighters and billions of dollars from the United States, Germany, and Britain, and has received unprecedented military support from the West, which continues to reveal its ugly face after previously boasting of freedoms and human rights.
The deal is not an act of compassion or mercy from "Israel" or the United States, but rather a capitulation to the valiant Palestinian resistance. Whether "Israel" wanted it or not, it had no choice but to conclude a prisoner exchange deal with the Palestinian resistance in Gaza. Netanyahu is forced to sign the deal rather than choosing to do so, in light of the bravery of the resistance.
After the final draft of the deal is approved, it will be presented to the Israeli security and political cabinet (the Cabinet) and also to the expanded government for ratification. Once approved, the Israeli Ministry of Justice and the Prisons Service will announce the names of the Palestinian prisoners to be released. After the names are confirmed, Israeli President Isaac Herzog will ratify granting amnesty to the Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and those with lengthy terms. These names do not encompass all prisoners who will be included in the agreement, given that the agreement will be implemented in phases.
Shifts in Blinken's Tone
As U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken prepares to leave his post, his remarks at the Atlantic Council differed from his usual absolute support for "Israel." He clarified that "Israel" must accept the existence of Gaza and the West Bank united under a reformed Palestinian Authority, stressing the Palestinians' right to have a clear and imminent political horizon to improve their destiny.
Blinken: "Israel" must abandon the myth of annexing Gaza and the West Bank
Blinken stated that accepting a time-limited approach to establishing a Palestinian state could facilitate contributions from regional and international powers in supporting the Palestinian security forces and the necessary funding to assist new Palestinian leaders in governing Gaza and ensuring security there.
He accused the Israeli occupying government of pursuing a policy that undermines the ability and legitimacy of the Palestinian Authority, as it continues to withhold tax revenues that it collects on behalf of the Palestinians—funds that belong to the Palestinians and the Palestinian Authority to pay the salaries of those who provide essential services such as healthcare and security in the West Bank. He explained that the Israeli occupation continues to withhold over half a billion dollars of tax revenues that the Palestinians are entitled to receive in the West Bank.
Blinken pointed out that the occupation is expanding official settlements and confiscating Palestinian land at a faster pace than ever in the past decade, while turning a blind eye to the unprecedented growth of illegal outposts and violent attacks by settlers against Palestinian civilians, which has led to a resurgence of violence.
He stressed that "Israelis" must abandon the myth that they can effectively carry out the annexation of Palestinian territories in the West Bank. The U.S. Secretary of State noted that "Israel" is expanding settlements and annexing land faster than ever over the past ten years, emphasizing the need for them to abandon the myth of their ability to annex land de facto.
There is no doubt that "Israel" has utterly failed to eliminate "Hamas" and the resistance and to subjugate and displace the Palestinian people. It has also failed to free its captives through military action. On the other hand, the resistance has succeeded in achieving a ceasefire and liberating prisoners, including women and children from Israeli jails, compelling the enemy to withdraw from Gaza.
