Harel wrote an article in a newspaper called Haaretz, where he talked about the intense battles happening in Gaza. He mentioned that some Israeli soldiers have sadly lost their lives in these fights.

Hamas is Still Strong

Harel also said that Israel is still far from defeating Hamas. He explained that the leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar, has no plans to tell his fighters to stop fighting. So, it looks like Hamas is not giving up easily.

Israel's Strategy

Even though Hamas is not surrendering, Harel believes that Israel's strategy is working. He mentioned that Israel has sent three teams of soldiers into Gaza and they are causing a lot of destruction. This is making it hard for Hamas to keep up the fight.

Hamas' Tactics

Harel said that Hamas might try to make a deal to exchange prisoners with Israel. They would see this as a big win for them. But Harel thinks that Israel should only stop the fighting after Hamas is defeated.

The Aftermath

Harel also talked about the destruction caused by the Israeli invasion. He said that it could take many years to fix all the damage that has been done.
