According to the Independent Commission for Human Rights, a whopping 80% of the people living in Gaza have been forced to leave their homes. It's a really tough situation for them, and we need to understand what's going on.
Why Are People Being Displaced?
The Ministry of Health in Gaza says that the Israeli occupation is to blame for this displacement. They say that the Israeli forces have been targeting hospitals, making it unsafe for people to stay. The occupation wants to force the rest of the population to leave Gaza by making it impossible for them to access healthcare.
What's Happening to the Hospitals?
Dr. Ashraf Al-Qudra, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, says that the Israeli occupation is trying to shut down hospitals in the northern and southern parts of Gaza. They want to make sure that people have nowhere to go for medical help, so they'll be forced to flee their homes.
The Need for Rescue Operations
Ahmed Al-Kahlot, the Director of Civil Defense in the northern part of Gaza, says that they need help. They require 50 excavators and 50 bulldozers to continue their rescue operations and recover the bodies of those who have lost their lives. Unfortunately, most of their equipment has been destroyed by the occupation.
Doctors Without Borders Speaks Up
Doctors Without Borders, an organization that provides medical assistance, has also been affected. They say that their evacuation convoy was attacked by the Israeli army in Gaza City. Two people were killed in the gunfire, and five of their vehicles were destroyed. Their clinic in Gaza City also suffered severe damage.
So many people have been forced to leave their homes, and it's all because of the conflict between the Israeli occupation and the people of Gaza.
