The Israeli occupation forces demanded the evacuation of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza and proceeded to bomb it and fire upon its facilities, jeopardizing the lives of patients, their companions, and medical staff. The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that the occupation ordered the immediate evacuation of the hospital, while a correspondent for "Al Jazeera" reported a loss of communication with journalists inside.
"Al Jazeera" mentioned that it obtained footage showing a crowd of wounded women and children in the corridors of the hospital after all its sections were targeted by gunfire and shelling. The hospital's director, Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, stated that the bombing targeted the hospital directly, holding the international community responsible for what is happening.
Gaza government: The occupation's threats to Kamal Adwan Hospital are a systematic crime to destroy the health sector
The government media office in Gaza condemned in the strongest terms the repeated Israeli threats against Kamal Adwan Hospital, considering them a part of a systematic plan to destroy the health sector. The office called in a statement for the World Health Organization to send an urgent field delegation to investigate the perpetrated crimes and ensure the protection of health facilities and medical teams.
It also urged the international community to take immediate action to stop these crimes. The occupation “Israeli” and the countries supporting it, such as the United States, Britain, Germany, and France, bear full responsibility for the continuation of genocide in the sector.
Hebrew newspaper: Jabalia has become a ghost town
The Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz" revealed that the occupation has destroyed about 70% of the buildings in the Jabalia camp since the start of its military operations there on October 5, 2024. It indicated that what remains of the buildings has suffered severe damage, turning the camp into a "ghost town." The newspaper explained that the destruction is part of the "generals' plan," which aims to displace the Palestinian population from the north of the Gaza Strip to its south, reaching the Martyrs' Crossroads in the city of Gaza.
Qualitative Operations by Al-Qassam in Northern Gaza
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced today, Sunday, the implementation of several qualitative operations against the occupation forces in northern Gaza. The most notable operations include:
- Targeting three Israeli troop carriers: the first with an explosive device in the Al-‘Alami area in the middle of the Jabalia camp, the second west of Beit Lahiya, and the third west of Beit Hanoun.
- Bombarding an entrenched Israeli force using an “TBG” shell, resulting in fatalities and injuries west of Jabalia.
- Sniping an Israeli officer on Abu al-Ayash Street in the middle of Jabalia.
British MP: London's Support for the Israeli Aggression Puts It Before International Courts
British MP Mohammed Iqbal, a member of the "Independent Alliance" supporting Gaza, expressed his concerns about his country's potential summons to international courts due to its support for Israeli aggression.
Iqbal questioned during an interview with the Anadolu Agency: "How many deaths must there be for the British government to stop its direct and indirect support for Israel, which is committing war crimes?" He emphasized that what is happening constitutes genocide against the Palestinians.
He called on the British government to move beyond empty rhetoric and take serious actions, such as completely halting arms exports to the occupation, stressing the need to end complicity in crimes committed against civilians.
Spanish PM Calls for Recognition of the State of Palestine
Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez urged the international community to recognize the State of Palestine and grant it full membership in the United Nations, asserting the necessity of ending the "Israeli" occupation and achieving justice for the Palestinian people.
Sánchez made these statements during his participation in the International Socialist Conference held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, from Friday to Sunday, according to the "Palestinian Information Center."
In his speech, Sánchez highlighted "the importance of working to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East," stressing the need for "international efforts to address the escalating crises in many parts of the world, especially in Palestine."
He also affirmed that ending the "Israeli" occupation is a fundamental step towards empowering the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, adding: "We must put an end to the suffering of the Palestinians and eliminate the siege and restrictions that affect their daily lives."
