Hamas' call for mobilization and support for Gaza in the West Bank
In a step to strengthen Gaza's resilience and confront the occupation's attempts to impose annexation plans on the West Bank, Mahmoud Mardaoui, a leader in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), called on the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, and the occupied territories to take to the streets and intensify confrontations with the occupation.
Mardaoui stated in a press release that it is the responsibility of every Palestinian and all free people globally to support the Gaza Strip and denounce the genocidal acts perpetrated by the occupation. He pointed out the threats the occupation poses to all Palestinians, their territories, and their sacred sites, as it attempts to create a misleading narrative that disregards historical and geographical truths.
Human Rights Watch: Forced displacement and war crimes in Gaza
Human Rights Watch issued a report warning that the behavior of the occupation in Gaza has led to widespread forced displacement of residents, considering this a war crime. The organization stated that approximately 90% of Gaza's population has been displaced due to continuous shelling, and vast areas of infrastructure have been destroyed, contradicting international laws of war. The organization criticized the occupation's claims that these operations are aimed at creating buffer zones or security corridors, describing them as lies meant to justify the ongoing policy of demolition and displacement.
Settlement Minister calls for occupation of Gaza and annexation of the West Bank
Israeli Settlement Minister Orit Strook called for the prolonged occupation of the Gaza Strip, alongside the annexation of the West Bank. She stated to the Hebrew website "Wynet" that the declared objectives of the war are essentially a contract between the government and the soldiers, and must be fully achieved, according to what was reported by Anadolu Agency. Strook reiterated her and her party's opposition to reaching an agreement for a prisoner exchange or a ceasefire in Gaza.
Protests in Italy and Brazil in solidarity with Palestine
In the Italian city of Turin, dozens of students stormed the headquarters of the defense industry company "Leonardo" to denounce Italian military support for the occupying state, asserting that the company provides technical and logistical assistance to the Israeli Air Force. In Brazil, Brazilian activists raised the Palestinian flag at the historic "Lapa Arches" in Rio de Janeiro, in a show of solidarity prior to the "G20 Summit", highlighting the suffering of the Palestinian people and rejecting the crimes committed against them, according to Quds Press Agency.
