Dozens Martyred in Recent Attacks
On the 99th day of the Israeli war on Gaza, there were more really sad news. Artillery and air strikes happened in Khan Yunis and the eastern central region of the Gaza Strip. Thus a lot of civilians were killed by Israel. The Ministry of Health said that more than 23,800 innocent Palestinian civilians have been killed by IDF so far. A really big number!
Israeli Prime Minister's Announcement
Even though the Israeli army also suffered some losses, their Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the war will continue. He thinks it's important to get involved in the Philadelphia axis on the Egyptian border. It sounds like he's determined to keep fighting.
Toll of Martyrs and Wounded
The Ministry of Health in Gaza shared some really heartbreaking news. They said that in just 24 hours, the Israeli occupation committed 12 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip. This resulted in the deaths of 135 people and 312 others getting injured. Since the war started, the total number of people who lost their lives is now 23,843, and over 60,000 people have been injured. It's really devastating.
Battles and Missile Attacks
The Israeli army also faced some losses. One of their soldiers was killed during the battles in Gaza, and two officers and another soldier were seriously injured. Since the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, 521 soldiers have died and 2,523 have been injured. That's a lot of people!
On the other side, the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Al-Quds Brigades, which are military groups from Hamas and the Islamic Jihad Movement, have been fighting back. They have been bombing Israeli settlements and targeting soldiers and vehicles. It's a really intense situation.
Protests in Israel
People in Israel are also speaking up. They have been protesting in cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa. They want the government to resign and they want prisoners to be released. The protests have been getting pretty big, and they even closed a main road in Tel Aviv. That's a big deal!
Fate of Captured Israeli POWs
There are also some Israeli POWs who have been captured by the Al-Qassam Brigades in Gaza since 2014. But now, they have lost contact with the group responsible for them. It's really worrying, and the families of the prisoners are running out of time. On the other hand, Israel has started sending medicines to their detainees in Gaza.
Clashes in the West Bank
In the West Bank, there have been clashes between Palestinian resistance fighters and the Israeli occupation forces. It's happening in places like Al-Fara camp and Jenin. People are getting hurt, and it's a really tense situation.
New Strikes in Yemen
Not only is there conflict in Gaza, but there are also strikes happening in Yemen. American forces have been bombing sites there, targeting a naval base and a radar site. The US President, Joe Biden, said that they sent a message to Iran about these strikes. It seems like things are getting really complicated in that region.
