The Missile Attack

Video clips have shown people in Tel Aviv started running away and explosions could be heard in it. These explosions happened because rockets were fired from a place called Gaza. It's pretty scary to imagine, right?

Sirens and Interceptions

When this attack happened, sirens started sounding in a lot of places near Tel Aviv. About 20 cities and towns had sirens going off. But don't worry, there's something called the Iron Dome that intercepted 10 rocket shells in Tel Aviv. That means it stopped those rockets from causing any damage.

Other Places Affected

Not only Tel Aviv, but other places like Ramla, Rishon LeZion, Nes Ziona, Sitria, Beer Yaakov, Yashresh, Holon, and Lod also had sirens going off. It's really sad to see so many places being affected by this.

First Time in a While

This is actually the first time in a long time that rockets have been launched from Gaza towards central Israel. The last time it happened was on New Year's Eve. So, it's a pretty big deal.

Response from Israel

The Israeli army's Home Front Command said that more than 30 places had sirens going off because of the missile attack. They also said that they were able to intercept some of the rockets, but a few of them landed in open areas. Luckily, there haven't been any reports of people getting hurt.

Minister's Decision

The Israeli Minister of Education made a decision to let schools in the Gaza Strip settlement schools reopen. He said that there's no security threat to those schools because the Israeli army has limited the ability of the Al-Qassam Brigades to fire rockets. It's good that they're thinking about the safety of the students.

The Ongoing Conflict

This missile attack is just one part of a bigger conflict that has been going on since October 7, 2023. The Israeli army has been attacking   Gaza Strip, and it has caused a lot of damage and killed thousands of  people, and even more have been injured.
