The Toll Rises
On the 91st day of the Israeli aggression against Gaza, the Israeli army intensified its bombing in the central and southern areas of the Gaza Strip. This resulted in more people losing their lives, bringing the total number of casualties to 22,600 martyrs and over 57,000 injured since the start of the aggression.
A Stormy Session in the War Government
There was a big argument between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant during a war cabinet session. Netanyahu didn't allow the heads of the Mossad intelligence service and the Shin Bet to attend the meeting. The session ended with disagreements between the Chief of Staff and some ministers over the formation of a team to investigate the events of last October 7. Netanyahu decided to stop the meeting, which was supposed to discuss the post-war phase in Gaza.
The Occupation Suffers More Losses
The Palestinian resistance caused more losses to the Israeli army in soldiers and equipment during several operations in the Gaza Strip. The Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, targeted Israeli vehicles and clashed with foot forces, resulting in the death of soldiers. They also targeted occupation vehicles with mortar shells and destroyed Israeli tanks in joint operations with the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement.
Blinken on a Tour of the Region
US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Istanbul as part of his tour in the Middle East focused on the war in Gaza. He will also visit 5 Arab countries, Israel, and the West Bank. Blinken's discussions will include increasing humanitarian aid to Gaza and preventing the expansion of the conflict.
Escalation and Incursions into the West Bank
The Israeli occupation forces continued their attacks on West Bank cities while the war on Gaza was ongoing. A Palestinian was killed and others were injured in Ramallah. The occupation forces also stormed areas in Nablus and Balata refugee camp. National and Islamic forces called on people in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem, to participate in marches in support of Gaza.
12 Thousand Disabled People in the Occupation Army
It is estimated that around 12,500 soldiers in the Israeli army will have disabilities as a result of the war in Gaza since October 7 of last year. The Soldiers Rehabilitation Department of the Ministry of Defense has already dealt with 3,400 soldiers who were classified as disabled in the army since that date.
Lebanese Complaint to the Security Council
Lebanon filed a complaint with the United Nations Security Council regarding the Israeli assassination of Saleh Al-Arouri, deputy head of the political bureau of Hamas. The complaint stated that Israel used 6 missiles in the assassination and that it was using Lebanese airspace to bomb Syria.
