In recent years, extremist Hindu nationalist forces have not ceased to stir up new issues and heat the atmosphere against Muslims in India; their heinous practices have become a culture of hatred and violence, a symbol of extremism and arrogance. 

Currently, a significant uproar has been raised regarding the survey of ancient historical mosques in India, and this surveying process has become a source of concern, disruption, and tension for Muslims. This is because the courts generally show complete bias and take insincere steps, with many judges, the majority of whom belong to the upper classes of Hindus, affiliated with the "Hindutva" ideology, which is not a hidden matter. 

 Deceptive False Propaganda  

The fascist "Hindutva" forces claim that Muslims in India are descendants of the invading aggressors who raided India, seized it from the hands of Hindus, forced them to convert to Islam by force, defiled their thriving culture, and demolished their ancient temples which were a clear and shining symbol of the greatness of Hinduism! They assert that mosques were built on the ruins of these temples throughout the country, and it is time to reclaim these mosques built on the ruins of temples. 

According to the claims of the "Hindutva" proponents, the list of mosques built on the ruins of Hindu temples is long and exceeds 3,000; details of all cannot be recounted, but the mosques that are currently under dispute should be mentioned, foremost among them: 

1. The Jamia Masjid in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, known as the "Gyanvapi Mosque," where Hindutva proponents claim that the mosque was originally the temple of "Mahadeo," which was demolished by the Mughal King Aurangzeb, who built the mosque on its ruins. However, this claim is baseless, as this mosque in Varanasi was constructed by the wealthy man Sheikh Suleiman Al-Muhaddith on barren land between the years 804 - 842 AH during the reign of Sultan Ibrahim Sharqi, a century and a half before the reign of King Aurangzeb (1028/1118 AH). Therefore, how can it be just to stop the just king Zaid in the dock?
2. The famous Jama Masjid known as the "Atala Mosque" in Jounpur, Uttar Pradesh. According to "Hindutva" claims, the site of the mosque was a temple dedicated to the goddess "Atal," which was then destroyed before the mosque was built upon it. However, if we delve into history, we find that "Atala" was the name of a neighborhood and not the name of a deity. The mosque built by Sultan Ibrahim Sharqi was attributed to that neighborhood, which was established by King Firoz Shah Tughlaq around 1364 or 1376 AD until Firoz Shah passed on to meet his Lord in 790 AH.
3. The royal Jama Masjid in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, which ignited turmoil last November, resulting in the deaths of five Muslim young men by police gunfire. The Muslims raised the issue of the city of Sambhal in Parliament and demanded that the government investigate the dead Muslim youths.

The "Hindutva" proponents claim that the mosque was established after the destruction of the Harihar Temple during the reign of the Mughal King Babur, who demolished it in 1526 AD, after which his army commander Hindu Baig built the mosque on its ruins. The Hindutva supporters argue that our ancient religious texts indicate clear signs of some indications related to the deity Shiva, and Vishnu or Vaishnava in those ancient times, hence it is called the Harihar temple, which means the guide or the last representative of the deity. These claims are hollow and lack any evidence or proof.

4. The "Royal Prayer" Mosque in the city of Mathura, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, claims that the Hindu Governor Bir Singh built a temple there in 1618 AD. However, the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb demolished it during his rule over India and built the mosque on its ruins in 1670 AD.
5. The congregational mosque known as "Shamsi" in the city of Badaun, Uttar Pradesh, is claimed by the Hindu World Council to have been built after the demolition of the "Neel Kanth Mahadeo" temple by King Shams al-Din Iltutmish in 1227 AD, as a celebration and thanks for the birth of his daughter Razia Sultan.
6. The geographical location of the Qutb Islam Mosque is within the vicinity of the Qutb Minar in the city of Delhi. It was initiated by the Afghan ruler Qutb al-Din Aibak during his reign (1206 – 1210), and was completed by his successor, King Iltutmish, during his period (1211 – 1236). The "Hindutvawadi" claim that this mosque was established after the demolition of Hindu and Jain temples. However, the Qutb Minar was not built by Qutb al-Din, but was constructed by governor and astronomer Qutb al-Din for solar observations.
7. The famous congregational mosque in the city of Delhi was built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1650 – 1656 AD during his reign from 1627 – 1657 AD.
8. The "Kamal Mulla" mosque, attributed to the ascetic Sufi Kamal al-Din, is located in Dhar district in Madhya Pradesh. The mosque dates back to the 14th century AD. However, the "Hindutvawadi" claim with audacity that the grave of Sheikh Kamal and the mosque were built on the ruins of the temple of the goddess "Saraswati."
9. The historic mosque in the city of Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, is famous for the "Hill Mosque" belonging to Shah Peer Muhammad Al-Jonfuri and later the Lucknowi (1619 – 1674 AD). Shah Peer Muhammad, the Mughal ruler, requested Fadai Khan Koka to build a mosque and a school, which were built during Aurangzeb's rule. However, the school was destroyed by the British in 1857 during the Indian revolt, while the mosque still exists today but is under threat due to claims by extremist Hindus, who allege that there was a temple on the hill named "Lakshman," which was destroyed, and the mosque was built on it. This claim is also not related to the truth.
