Nestlé Waters recently admitted to using some treatments that are actually banned. They told the French authorities about it in 2021. These treatments include ultraviolet (UV) treatments and activated carbon filters. They used them to make sure their water is safe to drink.

Why Were the Treatments Banned?

Now, you might be wondering why these treatments are banned in the first place. Well, the thing is, mineral water is supposed to be super clean and pure without any sterilization. Unlike tap water, which goes through a disinfection process to make it safe, mineral water should already have a high level of cleanliness. So, using UV treatments and activated carbon filters goes against the rules.

Why Did Nestlé Use Them Anyway?

But wait, why did Nestlé use these treatments if they were not allowed? Nestlé Waters said that they used them because the environment around their water sources was changing. This made it hard for them to keep the water stable and safe to drink. They wanted to make sure their water didn't get contaminated and that it still had all the good minerals in it.

Are They Following the Rules Now?

However, Nestlé Waters says that their brands like are now following all the rules in France. They are making sure their water is safe and clean without using any banned treatments. So, you can still enjoy their mineral water without any worries!

ٍSo, Nestlé Waters admitted to using treatments that were not allowed, but they have fixed the problem now. They are making sure their water is safe and healthy for all of us to drink.
