Al-Nouri Charity distributed more than 1,000 school bags in Kuwait

The Director of the Resources and Media Sector at Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Association, Abdul Latif Al-Dawas, said that for the fourth year in a row, the association is implementing, in cooperation with the Commercial Bank, the “Double Your Reward with Al-Tijari” campaign, which aims to achieve social solidarity with students from poor families inside Kuwait.

Al-Dawas explained in a press statement that the event is based on distributing school bags with stationery to 1,100 male and female students from poor families, in addition to purchasing coupons for school clothes.

He continued: This initiative comes in conjunction with the back-to-school season, as we work through it to ease the living burdens on the shoulders of those poor families who are in dire need of clothing, bags, and school supplies, and that is not available to them in many cases.

Charitable projects in Kuwait

Al-Dawas pointed out that Sheikh Abdullah Al-Nouri Charity Association is keen to implement charitable projects for needy groups inside Kuwait, in the fields of education and sponsorships and during seasons of goodness, to enhance solidarity, compassion, brotherhood, and solidarity with the needy inside Kuwait, and many of them are supported and sponsored by official bodies, banks, and banks, such as the campaign "Double Your Reward with Al-Tijari", which is generously sponsored by the bank.

Al-Dawas concluded his statement by pointing out that the campaign "Double Your Reward with Al-Tijari" is not the first and will not be the last with the Commercial Bank, which has distinguished initiatives, as Al-Nouri Charity has previously implemented a group of initiatives in cooperation with the bank, such as distributing food baskets and purchase coupons to needy families. He stressed that the association is keen to continue such initiatives and benefit from them in support of needy groups and to enhance the image of charitable work inside Kuwait.

The Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Hadi Al-Huwailah said that Kuwait has given great attention to charitable and humanitarian work, so that our governmental and civil charitable institutions have become leaders on the global humanitarian work map. Kuwait has deservedly become a center for humanitarian work worldwide, thanks to the directives of the wise political leadership that has contributed significantly to the development of this noble field.

A historical memory

Al-Huwailah said in her speech during the celebration of the Union of Charitable Societies and Foundations held at the National Library on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of naming Kuwait as a “global humanitarian center”: We celebrate a historical memory dear to all our hearts; which is the anniversary of naming Kuwait as a “center for humanitarian work” on September 9, 2014, and naming His Highness the Amir of the country, Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God bless his soul, as a “Leader of Humanitarian Work”, this title reflects the depth of belief in the values ​​of solidarity and giving rooted in the souls of the people of Kuwait, leadership, and people over the years.

International honor

She added that this international honor represents recognition of the great efforts made by Kuwait in extending a helping hand and relief to people in need and providing humanitarian support in various parts of the world, without discrimination or distinction. This recognition comes in appreciation of what Kuwait has provided to alleviate the suffering of those affected by disasters and conflicts.

Al-Huwailah pointed out that we at the Ministry of Social Affairs are committed to continuing this pioneering humanitarian approach, and we work with all sincerity to enhance the role of the State of Kuwait in supporting global humanitarian efforts, in cooperation with all Kuwaiti charitable bodies and institutions that represent a model to be emulated in charitable and humanitarian work.

Al-Huwailah stressed that the Ministry of Social Affairs is committed to protecting humanitarian work and enhancing its role, by enacting legislation and procedures that regulate charitable work and preserve the rights of volunteers and beneficiaries alike.

In Kuwait, charitable associations operate 38%, while abroad 62%.

For his part, the Chairman of the Union of Charitable Associations and Foundations, Saad Marzouq Al-Otaibi, said: We meet today on this great occasion to celebrate the tenth anniversary of naming Kuwait as a “Center for Humanitarian Work”, which is a great honor that embodies the noble values ​​​​on which our beloved country was built. Kuwait has been, over the decades, a pioneer in standing by those in need, without distinguishing between religion, race, or country. Namaa Charity announced that it will hold a specialized training course in professional institutional culture, supervised by trainer Mohammed Afif Al-Qarfan, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the institutional capabilities of its employees.

Namaa Charity Training Advisor Murshid Al-Rashdan stated that this course comes within the framework of Namaa's efforts to enhance the institutional culture that constitutes a fundamental pillar in the success of any institution. Our goal is to provide employees with the necessary tools to enhance the spirit of teamwork, effective communication, and commitment to the values ​​and principles of the institution.

5212 male and female students participate in "Hofath" summer session

The Kuwaiti Charitable Society for the Service of the Holy Quran and its Sciences (Hofath) announced the conclusion of the activities of its eighth summer session for the year 2024 AD for Quranic circles and centers, in which 5212 male and female students participated.

The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Society, Eng. Ahmed Al-Marshed, said: By the grace of God and His favor, the Hofath Society concluded the eighth summer session successfully, as it lasted for three months starting from June to the end of August by conducting tests for the participating students, and their number reached 5212 male and female students who attended 579 Quranic circles, and at the end of the session, a test was launched to measure the students’ achievement in memorizing the Holy Quran in addition to the level of progress in the session program.

The guide added: This session was distinguished by many events and activities that gained students Quranic and educational benefits, as it included a distinguished educational and entertainment program directed at male and female students. Appropriate educational materials were prepared for the program and specialized educational lecturers were assigned to present them to occupy the time of our students with beneficial things during the summer vacation.

He pointed out that the program of the session included several entertainment activities, including various competitions, talent discovery segments, and motor and mental games.
