Celebration
The Islamic Welfare Society in Kuwait held a meeting at their headquarters in Al – Qadisiyah to congratulate national holidays. The event was the Day of the nation, built on the foundations of patriotism and good values, and marked the uniting of many people and their families.
Helping Those in Need
At the head of the society, Hessa Al-Shabiki revealed that the organization had been involved in humanitarian work for almost 45 years in Kuwait and overseas. They are extremely generous and Professor Fidaa Omar Al Waqyan is in charge of them. Our organization helps those who are less fortunate, sponsors orphans and renders patient care in the hospitals. They have managed to spread to other countries like Yemen and, Egypt.
Expanding Support
Al-Shabiki stated that there is a plan in the Islamic Welfare [that requires the] creation of a large medical center in Albania to help people with special needs. The project is ongoing now.
National Values
February is a month with special meaning to Kuwait, as it is the anniversary of Independence and Liberation days. Al Manar will endeavor to call for the embodiment of patriotism with a humanitarian facet under the wise guidance of the Emir, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad.
Empowering Children
Among the organization's activities is the Young Merchant Fair where children display and sell their artworks, an activity that helps them to be independent and develop their skills. The funds for the charity works are raised from the proceeds of these activities. In spite of the joy, Islamic Welfare Society remains firm in giving a helping hand to Gaza and praying to God to win the battle.
