A Message to Arab Leaders: Urgent Call for Unity and Action Featured

By Sheikh Ahmed Yassin February 05, 2024 1353

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Prophet of the First and the Last.

Your Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses,

Assalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh (may you be safe from evil, and the Mercy of Allah and His Blessings be upon you).

There is no doubt that when Arab dignity is elevated, so is the honor of Islam. This signifies the immense responsibility you carry. You, with the guidance of Allah, safeguard the present and future of the nation. The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: “Allah would ask every trustee about his trust; did he keep it or lose it?” Therefore, fear Allah in the Islamic nation, as Allah’s enemies have waged war against it.

Today, you face significant challenges, and your people are eager to see the outcomes of the summit's decisions, hoping that the summit's resolutions will match the challenges we confront. It is evident that among these challenges, the central issue is the cause of the Arabs and Muslims: the Palestinian cause. I am optimistic that this summit will yield results that act as a relief for the Palestinian people, who persist in their jihad until Allah grants them the victory we aspire to, elevating the status of our nation with His permission.

I appeal to you to consider at the summit the following issues that serve the Palestinian cause:

Firstly, Palestine is an Arab and Islamic land forcibly usurped through arms by Zionist Jews, and it will only be reclaimed by the force of arms. It is an Islamic waqf (endowment) land, and it is not permissible to relinquish any part of it, even if we currently lack the necessary strength to liberate it.

Secondly, jihad in Palestine is a legitimate right for the Palestinian people, and it is an obligatory duty for every Muslim, male and female. Describing it as terrorism by the enemies of Allah is a great injustice rejected by our steadfast people in Palestine as well as by our Arab and Islamic nations. We hope that the summit will clearly and unambiguously express its stance in support of the jihad of our resilient people.

Thirdly, our people, bravely fighting a battle imposed upon them, deserve to receive all forms of support and endorsement from the leaders of the nation. They need economic support to enhance their resilience, as the wicked Zionists have destroyed all the means of life and decent living for these persevering people, looting their resources. Additionally, they require military, security, media, moral, diplomatic support, and other forms of assistance to help them continue their jihad, aspiring that the summit will achieve all of this, in Allah’s will.

Fourthly, we urge you to halt all forms of normalization efforts with this enemy, close its embassies, consulates, and commercial offices, and activate Arab boycotts, severing ties and cooperation with them.

Fifthly, the nation possesses the resources, capacities, and capabilities to support its national causes and to curb the audacity of its enemies. It is time for our nation to act in accordance with the words of Allah: “And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided.” (Aal-Imran: 103). Let it become a force in the era of blocs, for “those who disbelieved are allies of one another. If you do not do so, there will be fitnah on earth and great corruption.” (Al-Anfal: 73).

Sixthly, the Al-Aqsa Mosque calls for you, as the Zionists have prepared to demolish its pillars and its structure. Who else, after Allah, can protect it if not you?

Seventhly, we urge you to provide all forms of support to our brotherly Iraq and its people to liberate it from American occupation. Supporting Iraq and its people is support for the cause of Palestine and the Palestinian people.

Majesties, Excellencies, and Highnesses,

This is what I wanted to advise, as we have learned from the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, that religion is sincerity. I ask Allah to unite your word for the sake of defending His religion and to unify your ranks for the good of the nation and its elevation.
