The occupation aircraft targeted the al-Hakr area in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

As Operation “Al-Aqsa Flood” enters its 370th day, the occupation forces continue to carry out airstrikes and intensive artillery shelling on the Gaza Strip, causing horrific massacres against civilians.

A massacre in Deir al-Balah… 28 martyrs, including children and women

28 Palestinians, including children and women, were martyred, and 54 others were injured, some of them in critical condition, as a result of the occupation’s bombing of the Rufaida School, which was housing displaced persons west of the city of Deir al-Balah, according to the “Palestinian News Agency.”

A war crime with American cover

The Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) condemned the Rufaida School massacre, describing it as a war crime committed by the occupation army with American cover.

Hamas confirmed, in a press statement today, Thursday, that this brutal massacre, which was committed at a time when the fascist occupation army is closing in on the northern Gaza Strip and is committing abuse and killing there. This massacre is an extension of the crimes of the Zionist occupation against our Palestinian people, over a whole year of genocide, during which the terrorist occupation army carried out the most heinous operations of deliberately targeting defenseless civilians, in residential neighborhoods, homes, shelters and displacement centers, with the support of the American administration, a partner in this genocide.

The movement added: Our Palestinian people ask: Where is the international community and the United Nations, and all its institutions, headed by the UN Security Council?! And where are the Arab and Islamic countries from taking immediate measures to stop the unprecedented violations of international and humanitarian laws by the fascist occupation?!

It stressed that the continuation of the massacres in full view of the world, without moving a finger, represents suspicious behavior that portends the complete collapse of the international system with all its foundations, laws and values.

Continued siege of Jabalia camp for the fifth day

The occupation continues its siege of Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip for the fifth consecutive day; which has caused a process of "genocide and ethnic cleansing" against the camp's residents. The siege has led to the destruction of homes, the killing of civilians and their forced displacement, and despite the intense pressure, citizens refuse to move to the southern Gaza Strip.

This comes in light of the occupation's attempts to put the health system in the northern Gaza Strip out of service, as it asked the "Kamal Adwan", "Indonesian" and "Al-Awda" hospitals to evacuate within 24 hours, which threatens the lives of thousands of patients.

"Kamal Adwan" Hospital appeals to stop the evacuation

The director of Kamal Adwan Hospital, Hussam Abu Safiya, appealed to the international community to stop the occupation's decision to evacuate the hospital of patients and medical staff.

This came in a video clip recorded from the intensive care unit, where he confirmed that the humanitarian situation is constantly deteriorating due to the siege and aggression, according to what was reported by the "Anadolu" agency.

This appeal comes in light of the occupation's continued commission of crimes of genocide and ethnic cleansing in Jabalia camp.

Al-Qassam Brigades ambushes an infantry company in Jabalia

Al-Qassam Brigades carried out a complex ambush targeting a company of 12 vehicles belonging to the occupation forces in Jabalia camp.

Al-Qassam fighters were able to engage the Zionist force from zero distance, which led to deaths and injuries among the occupation forces.

The Brigades said: Al-Qassam fighters trapped a mechanized infantry company belonging to the occupation army consisting of 12 military vehicles and a truck loaded with soldiers in a pre-prepared ambush area. Immediately upon the force's arrival at the site, a "Shawaz" bomb was detonated in the truck loaded with soldiers, a "Thunder" bomb was detonated in a "Hummer" jeep, and another jeep was targeted with a "Tandem" shell. After that, our fighters advanced towards the ambush area and finished off the remaining soldiers from zero distance with light weapons. They targeted a number of soldiers who fled the area towards a house with an anti-personnel bomb, killing and wounding them.

The battalions also announced that two tanks were targeted during the operation, in addition to targeting a Zionist reconnaissance patrol east of Khan Yunis with a drone.

Kuwait eyes deeper collaboration with Google Cloud

Kuwait plans to deepen its partnership with Google Cloud as part of efforts to give impetus to a national digital drive in line with its strategic 2035 vision, Communication Minister Omar Al-Omar said on Tuesday.

Luring more foreign investment would be a by-product of a full-fledged digital transformation, the minister told a one-of-a kind gathering entitled, “Cloud Day,” an initiative organized by Google, with whom Kuwait has already established a joint training program for the development of “national skills” pertinent to AI and cybersecurity technologies, added the minister.

A national training program is already up and running in a bid to further hone the digital skills of young people and state body employees alike, giving them the opportunity to keep abreast of the most cutting-edge digital technologies as they foray into the job market, the minister added.

Underlining the significance of such endeavors, the Kuwaiti minister expected a “new generation” of tech leaders to lead the digital transformation in Kuwait, ensuring that the nation is firmly placed on a path towards a “brighter and more prosperous” future, he emphasized.

Addressing the gathering, Country Manager for Google Cloud in Kuwait Shaymaa Alterkait said that the tech giant is “dedicated to fostering a thriving digital ecosystem,” allowing businesses, government entities and individuals to harness the “power of the cloud and AI” to drive economic gr owth. Google Cloud’s expanding network of 40 regions, 121 zones and 187 network edge locations represent the “backbone” of the global infrastructure, she highlighted, saying that Google has built a “ dedicated and uniquely skilled” team that will contribute towards Kuwait’s digital transformation. — KUNA

Kuwait mobilizes extensive support for Palestinians through KRCS initiatives

Zionist aggression ‘pushing entire region to regional war’

The Kuwait Red Crescent Society (KRCS) emphasized on Monday that Kuwait, through its governmental and non-governmental institutions, has made every possible effort to support Palestinians in terms of relief, development, and health initiatives. KRCS also reaffirmed that the Palestinian cause remains at the forefront of its humanitarian agenda. In a statement to KUNA, KRCS Chairman Ambassador Khaled Al-Maghames highlighted Kuwait’s continued support for the Palestinian people in Gaza, in line with the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and emphasized the society’s backing of humanitarian initiatives aimed at alleviating the suffering of Palestinians.

He noted that the brutal occupation has caused significant damage in Gaza, causing the Palestinians to seek refuge in camps, and face severe shortage of food, water and medicine. He added that Kuwait has organized an airlift carrying essential aid, including medicine, medical supplies, ambulances, food, and tents, to meet the needs of the Palestinians. The KRCS has played a critical role by collecting donations through its website and working closely with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Health to stand with the Palestinians and provide support to the affected.

Al-Maghames explained that the society has deployed a field team within Gaza to distribute urgent aid, including food, medicine, flour, and meals to displaced Palestinians in shelters, underscoring the humanitarian organization’s commitment. The society also successfully facilitated the entry of the first Kuwaiti team and a fully equipped field hospital into the Rafah area of Gaza to provide medical services to the Palestinian people and train Kuwaiti medical personnel, while also caring for orphans there. Al-Maghames further noted that the society has rehabilitated and equipped the Noura Al-Kaabi Dialysis Center in northern Gaza and launched a clean drinking water project for the displaced in central and southern Gaza shelters.

Meanwhile, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi said on Monday that the Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, is pushing the entire region into “the abyss of a complete regional war.” This came in a press conference held by the Jordanian Minister after his meeting with Lebanese Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati where he affirmed that his visit to Lebanon came under the directive of King Abdullah II of Jordan, as a solidarity stand with Lebanon in facing the occupation aggression.

Al-Safadi expressed Jordan’s readiness to provide assistance to Lebanon in the aftermath of this brutal aggression, which is a clear violation of international law and of Lebanon’s sovereignty, stressing that they will continue their efforts and coordinate with the international community to do so as quickly and immediately as possible. He added that they support Lebanon’s efforts to activate its national institutions and decision, starting with the election of a President, as it is an important step in strengthening Lebanon’s position on an international level, noting the catastrophe and dangerous escalation that threatens the security of the entire region and international peace.

He stressed the need to stop this aggression immediately, the necessity of restraining occupation’s aggression and applying international law fully, pointing to the existing UN Security Council Resolution No 1701, which would achieve security and stability. In response to a question, Al-Safadi stated that Jordan will not be a battlefield for anyone, and will not allow anyone to penetrate the Kingdom’s airspace and sovereignty, threatening the security of its citizens.

Arab countries’ position was clear from the start in rejecting Zionist aggression against Gaza, explained Al-Safadi, adding that they warned of its consequences and that it would only lead to a dangerous regional escalation. The world has failed in protecting the region’s peace and security, limit the occupation’s crimes and apply international law and the UN Charter, remarked Al-Safadi, noting that Zionist occupation is responsible for the aggression and escalation in the region, and any new escalation will inevitably push the region towards a regional war. — KUNA

Kuwait’s Humanitarian Society launches clinic in Yemen

Kuwait’s Al-Safaa Humanitarian Society inaugurated on Monday Al-Nafisi Medical Clinic, which will benefit 10,000 people in the temporary Yemeni capital Aden, with funding from a Kuwaiti philanthropist as part of the “Kuwait by Your Side” campaign, which continues for the ninth year in a row. In a press statement during the inauguration, President of Aden University, Professor Al-Khader Lasour, praised Kuwait’s humanitarian efforts in various Yemeni governorates, including the clinic, which was built and equipped with the latest medical equipment, explaining that it will serve patients from Aden and university students.

Lasour expressed his thanks to Kuwait, HH the Amir, the government and the people, stressing that the Yemeni people love and appreciate Kuwait’s generosity. The Vice President of the Communication Foundation for Human Development, which is implementing the project, Imad Abdul Rahim, explained that the clinic consists of clinics for women, childbirth, children, nutrition, internal medicine, counseling, and vaccination, in addition to a general emergency room, a pharmacy, and a laboratory.

The Al-Nafisi Clinic has been equipped with the latest medical devices and equipment to provide health care services to more than 10,000 beneficiaries. It is one of the vital health centers that will contribute to relieving pressure on central hospitals and meeting the growing need in the health sector in Aden. — KUNA

Namaa Charity Sponsors More Than 172 University Students

Namaa Charity, affiliated with the Social Reform Society, announced the sponsorship and support of 172 university students from Rohingya, Palestinians, Syrians and Somalis studying in Turkey.

In this regard, the Director of Relief Department at Namaa Charity, Khaled Mubarak Al Shamri, said: Sponsoring university students is a cornerstone in helping young people complete their education, especially in countries suffering from crises and wars, noting that sponsoring these students is not limited to providing financial support only, but is a tributary to sustainable development, as it gives them an opportunity to overcome economic and social challenges, and contributes to building an educated society capable of facing difficulties.

Al Shamri added that sponsoring university students represents a new hope in the lives of young people who face serious humanitarian challenges in their countries, noting that by providing educational and financial support, we contribute to enabling these students to achieve their dreams and contribute to their communities.

Al-Shammari explained that the students were selected according to the most need, as Yemen suffers from serious humanitarian crises, where the people are exposed to many challenges, including poverty and lack of education; therefore, sponsoring university students provides them with the opportunity to build a better future and achieve sustainable development in their homeland. The people of Gaza also live in different humanitarian conditions under the burden of war, which leads to difficult circumstances that hinder education, and by sponsoring students, we can support them in their academic career and enable them to participate in building their homeland.

As the “Al-Aqsa Flood” Operation  enters its 369th day, the occupation forces continue to carry out air strikes and intensive artillery shelling on the Gaza Strip, causing horrific massacres against civilians.

Stabbing operation in occupied Palestine

Eight settlers were injured in a stabbing operation today, Wednesday, in the city of Hadera, north of Tel Aviv, amid conflicting reports about the fate of the perpetrator of the operation.

The Israeli ambulance teams reported that the conditions of 5 of the injured ranged between critical and serious.

The occupation police stated that the stabbing operation took place in 3 different locations within the city.

According to the "Occupation Army Radio", the perpetrator of the operation is the Palestinian Ahmed Jabarin (36 years old), who has been residing in Umm al-Fahm in the occupied Palestinian territories since 1948, according to what was reported by the "Palestinian Information Center".

Hamas and Fatah meeting in Cairo

A meeting began between the delegations of the "Hamas" movement headed by Khalil al-Hayya, a member of the movement's political bureau, and the "Fatah" movement headed by Mahmoud al-Aloul, the movement's deputy chairman, today, Wednesday, in Cairo.

Taher al-Nunu, media advisor to the head of Hamas's political bureau, explained that these meetings aim to discuss the aggression on the Gaza Strip, political and field developments, and unify efforts and the national line.

The occupation besieges northern Gaza

As the ground invasion of northern Gaza enters its fourth day, the occupying forces are escalating their ground and air operations, targeting civilians and infrastructure in an attempt to impose more control.

The occupation forces imposed a siege on the city of Jabalia and the towns of Beit Hanoun and Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, amidst intensive shelling and the demolition of homes.

The Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) reported that the "Israeli" army is imposing a tight siege, and is shooting at anyone who moves; forcing citizens to be forcibly displaced towards the southern part of the Strip.

Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of UNRWA, indicated that more than 400,000 people are besieged in the northern part of the Strip, and the "Israeli" evacuation orders are pushing people to flee repeatedly, especially from Jabalia camp.

Obstructing the evacuation of patients from northern Gaza

A health ministry official in Gaza stated on Wednesday that the occupation army is obstructing the evacuation of patients through searches and arrests, despite its warning to evacuate hospitals in the northern Gaza Strip.

Maher Shamiya, Undersecretary of the Health Ministry in Gaza, explained that the security deterioration in the northern Gaza Strip, and the occupation’s breach of the understandings reached with international mediators regarding the evacuation of sick children from Kamal Adwan Hospital, are obstructing the evacuation operations.

He added to the Anatolia Agency that international organizations coordinated with the army to evacuate 5 children, but it stopped the ambulances and subjected them to lengthy inspections.

He pointed out that 37 patients are staying in Kamal Adwan Hospital, 7 of whom are in intensive care, in addition to about 30 patients in the Indonesian Hospital; which makes their transfer difficult.

Qualitative operations in Jabalia

Al-Qassam Brigades announced targeting a "Merkava" tank with a "Yassin 105" shell in the Al-Israa neighborhood west of Jabalia camp. The "Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades" also announced detonating a highly explosive device on a "Merkava" tank in the same area.

Operation al-Aqsa Flood occurred amid Türkiye’s normalization of relations with Israel and its intent to further develop economic cooperation, particularly in the energy sector, which initially influenced Türkiye’s position in the early days. However, as Israeli massacres unfolded, Ankara’s stance on the war on Gaza Strip (GS) evolved both in statements and actions, placing Türkiye in ongoing political conflict with Israel, and particularly with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

First: Determinants of the Turkish Position

The Turkish stance on Operation al-Aqsa Flood was shaped by several key factors, foremost among them:

  • It came as part of Türkiye’s broader efforts to de-escalate and normalize relations with several regional powers in recent years, aiming to resolve foreign policy crises and avoid regional conflicts that could threaten stability.
  • It came in the context of restoring diplomatic relations with Israel, reinstating ambassadors, and expressing a desire to cooperate primarily in the field of energy in the Eastern Mediterranean. There was also a clear intention to separate the Palestine issue from the course of bilateral relations, aiming to keep Israel’s policies toward the Palestinians distinct from its relations with Türkiye, as stated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
  • The traditional view that relations with Israel are one of the key factors in Türkiye’s ties with the US, remains significant. At this stage, Ankara seeks calmer and more positive relations with the US, especially as it awaits the conclusion of the F-16 fighter jet deal.
  • Türkiye’s advanced relations with both sides of the Palestinian spectrum are evident. On the official side, represented by the PA and President Mahmud ‘Abbas, Türkiye has been a key supporter of Palestinian diplomatic efforts, particularly at the UN. At the same time, Türkiye maintains close ties with the resistance, specifically Hamas.
  • Türkiye’s aspiration to play a leading role in the region and the Muslim world stems from its belief that achieving this requires taking a prominent stance on the Palestine issue, consistent with Türkiye’s moral and historical position on the matter.
  • Seeking to align with the popular stance on the Palestine issue, particularly regarding the war on GS, Türkiye has responded to the widespread and intense public anger. The public has demanded actions that correspond to the scale of the genocide and massacres occurring in GS.
  • The political consensus in Türkiye across various parties, almost without exception, has led to increased pressure on the presidency and the government from opposition parties to adopt stronger positions. This pressure is especially notable from Islamic and conservative parties, which are seen as rivals to the AKP within the conservative segment of society.

Second: Aspects of Turkish Position Regarding Operation al-Aqsa Flood

The following aspects of Türkiye’s official stance toward Operation al-Aqsa Flood can be observed:

  • Ankara’s position in the first few days following Operation al-Aqsa Flood was characterized by restraint, taking a balanced approach by speaking of “targeting civilians,” calling on “all parties” to de-escalate, and urging the “release of hostages.”
  • With the onset of the ground war and the growing popular and partisan opposition within Türkiye against Israeli actions in GS, Ankara fully embraced the Palestinian narrative, condemning Israeli massacres as “genocide,” labeling Israel as a “terrorist state,” and declaring that it had “turned the page” on dealing with Netanyahu, now referring to him as a “war criminal.”
  • Türkiye rejects the classification of Hamas as a terrorist organization, affirming it as a resistance movement against occupation, viewing it as the first line of defense for Türkiye and the Muslim world. Türkiye has maintained ongoing communication and meetings with Hamas at various levels, including those involving President Erdoğan, Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, and the head of the National Intelligence Agency (MIT) İbrahim Kalın.
  • Willingness to play a mediation role has been evident, as the Palestinian resistance released some foreigners in response to President Erdoğan’s mediation efforts.
  • Hosting dozens of wounded Palestinians in Türkiye’s hospitals for treatment and sending several aid convoys to Egypt to enter GS. Türkiye is the largest sender of aid, according to official data.
  • Proposing the deployment of Turkish troops in Palestinian territories as part of the concept of “guarantor states,” positioning Türkiye as one of the guarantor states for the Palestinian side—an idea that was rejected by Israel.
  • Participating in the joint ministerial committee established by the joint extraordinary summit between the League of Arab States and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to monitor the situation and developments in GS.
  • As the massacres continued, Türkiye’s position has escalated through the imposition of gradual economic sanctions that could lead to a complete halt of all commercial dealings with Israel, despite reports suggesting alternative routes and third countries for delivering Turkish goods.
  • Türkiye’s announcement to join South Africa’s genocide case before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).
  • Türkiye announced the dismantling of Israeli Mossad networks operating within its borders during the war months.
  • Verbal exchanges with Israeli officials, particularly Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz, threatened Erdoğan with the fate of the late Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
  • Türkiye has consistently criticized the US and European positions for being biased toward Israel, viewing them as partners in crime.
  • Hosting a speech by Palestinian President Mahmud ‘Abbas before the Türkiye Parliament was a response to Netanyahu’s speech in Congress.
  • Türkiye has declared solidarity with and support for Lebanon in the face of Israeli threats and warned that Netanyahu’s policies may lead to a regional war that will harm everyone in the region.
  • On the other hand, the Justice and Development Party (Adalet ve Kalkınma Partisi— AKP) and its ally, the Nationalist Movement Party (Milliyetçi Hareket Partisi—MHP), rejected several proposals from opposition parties in parliament aimed at investigating the continued flow of Turkish goods to Israel, revoking the citizenship of Turkish nationals who are members in the Israeli army, and other related proposals.

Third: Projections

In light of the stalemate in field and political developments related to GS in particular and the Palestinian territories in general, it is expected that Türkiye’s official position will remain consistent. This means maintaining a state of political and media engagement with Israel, fully adopting the Palestinian narrative—including the resistance narrative—and condemning the ongoing genocidal war.

It is expected that Türkiye’s efforts in the political and legal arenas to criminalize and hold Netanyahu and other Israeli officials involved in the genocide accountable will continue, especially following the killing of Turkish-American activist Ayşenur Ezgi Eygi in the West Bank, who was shot by Israeli soldiers. Ankara is unlikely to escalate further in the economic sphere, particularly regarding the ongoing transfer of Azerbaijani oil to Israel through its ports.

In addition to the developments in the field and political situation related to GS and the resistance, there are two possible factors that may lead to a change or modification of Türkiye’s position in the future. The first is the upcoming US elections and the potential return of Donald Trump to the Oval Office. The second possibility is a regional war involving several parties significant to Türkiye, which could be affected directly or indirectly, primarily Iran, Syria, Greece and Cyprus. This scenario makes it unlikely that Türkiye will remain an observer, especially given its suspicions and concerns about US and Western military buildups in Greece and Cyprus.

Palestine

The "X" platform (formerly Twitter) has suspended the accounts of a number of Palestinian activists, including prominent ones such as activist from Gaza Adham Abu Salimiyah, journalist Islam Badr, and writer Ibrahim Al-Madhoun; which has sparked widespread condemnation from prominent Arab and Palestinian figures.

Adham Abu Salimiyah is considered one of the influential voices in supporting the Palestinian cause, where he played a prominent role in shedding light on the suffering of the Palestinian people and conveying the crimes of the Zionist occupation in Gaza to the world through social media platforms.

Confronting the Zionist narrative

With his followers on the "X" platform reaching over a million people, Abu Salimiyah has become a strong media front against the Zionist narrative, using his platform to convey the truth and raise awareness among Arab and international audiences about the plight of the Palestinian people.

After his account was suspended, Abu Salimiyah affirmed that this decision will not deter him from continuing his media message, as he sees the suspension of his account as an attempt to obstruct his message temporarily, but it will not weaken his commitment to conveying the truth and serving the Palestinian cause.

Abu Salimiyah emphasized that success is not measured by the number of followers on social media platforms, but by the real impact he leaves on the reality of Palestinian society and the future of the coming generations.

Palestinian activist Khalid Safi said: that Adham Abu Salimiyah is one of the most influential accounts in the Arab region.

He added: His account on "X" was targeted as part of a deliberate campaign against many Palestinian accounts that support the resistance ideology, and it is still closed to this day due to a policy of restricting and blocking Palestinian content.

Kuwaiti poet Ahmed Al-Kandari objected to the suspension of Abu Salimiyah's account, saying: Adham Abu Salimiyah is one of the most influential accounts in the Palestinian cause, and I hope for his return to the platform soon.

A voice of truth

The thinker Dr. Mohammed Al-Shanqiti pointed out that activist Abu Salimiyah is a voice of truth in a time of falsehood, and a brave and noble man carrying the concerns of the people of Gaza and Palestine.

On the other hand, Palestinian historian Dr. Khaled Al-Ashqar explained that the siege on Palestinian content is renewed as the second year of the "deluge" begins, confirming that these Western platforms are still biased towards the occupation narrative and support.

He continued: Targeting Abu Salimiyah's account, which was a high front against the arrogant narrative of the occupation, is only evidence of the failure of the "X" platform in the test of freedom of opinion.

23 thousand digital violations against Palestinian content

Meanwhile, the "Social Echo" Center for Palestinian Digital Rights issued its report "A year of digital genocide against Palestinians," which monitored the digital attacks that coincided with the Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people from October 7, 2023, to a full year.

The report focused on the multiple dimensions of digital destruction, which included blocking Palestinian content, imposing control on social media, and targeting Palestinian journalists.

According to the report, Palestinian content on social media platforms was subjected to more than 23,000 digital violations, with "Meta" platforms accounting for 56% of these violations, while "TikTok" accounted for 25%, "X" for 15%, and "SoundCloud" for 3.7%.

700 Palestinian WhatsApp Numbers Banned

During the mentioned period, more than 700 Palestinian WhatsApp numbers were banned, leading to the isolation of residents and increasing difficulty in communicating with the outside world. These cases accounted for 76% of the population in Gaza, contributing to deepening the digital crisis and imposing near-total digital isolation on the sector, according to the report.

Regarding journalists, the report mentioned that 29% of total digital violations targeted journalists, media institutions, and journalists.

The center stated that it received more than 1,200 complaints from journalists about attempts to hack their digital accounts, while 16 fake accounts were created in the name of journalists to tarnish their reputation and spread misinformation about them, posing a dual threat to their digital and physical safety.

During the genocide year, "Israel" and its military forces used the "death squares" game as a tool to evade responsibility for killing Palestinian civilians. In a statement by the Chairman of the Union of Charitable Societies and Foundations, Saad Marzouq Al-Otaibi, regarding Kuwait’s humanitarian efforts to support the Gaza Strip, he stressed that Kuwait remains a bridge of humanity that reaches those most in need, through multi-directional movements by air, sea and land, led by His Highness Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Al-Otaibi explained that these movements are an extension of Kuwait’s giving record, enhancing its position as a global humanitarian center.

Al-Otaibi continued: "We express our deep appreciation for the speech delivered by the representative of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, may God protect him, at the Third Summit of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, when His Highness addressed the Palestinian issue. He pointed out that His Highness's emphasis on supporting the Palestinian people and their right to self-determination reflects Kuwait's steadfast commitment to human values and justice. In the Union of Charitable Societies and Foundations, we support all efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region, and we hope that this summit will contribute to strengthening Arab and Islamic solidarity.

Al-Otaibi said: "Kuwait's humanitarian efforts towards Gaza come with direct support from government ministries; This enhances the sustainability of charitable work and makes Kuwait a beacon of humanity. The Ministry of Social Affairs has played an active role in organizing charitable work and ensuring adherence to transparency standards, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has coordinated to ensure that aid arrives quickly and smoothly in cooperation with international authorities. The Ministry of Information also provides comprehensive coverage of these campaigns, highlighting Kuwait’s efforts to enhance the country’s image as a major supporter of humanitarian work globally. The Ministry of Defense also plays a pivotal role, as the Air Defense Forces established the relief air bridge that transported nearly 50 aid planes, in an institutional cooperation that highlights the unity and concerted efforts of the state to serve urgent humanitarian issues.

Air Relief

Al-Otaibi explained that the Kuwaiti air bridge, which began in October 2023, is one of the most important initiatives that were made possible thanks to the “Faz’a (Flush of aid) for Palestine” campaign, in which more than 23 Kuwaiti charitable associations and organizations participated, as nearly 50 planes were sent loaded with medical, food and shelter aid. These planes represented a lifeline for the besieged people of Gaza, and provided the necessary aid to meet the needs of hundreds of families affected by the violent events in the Strip.

Marine Relief

Al-Otaibi added that in March 2024, the first Kuwaiti ship sailed from Turkey carrying 1,200 tons of basic food supplies such as rice, flour and canned food, and these supplies were distributed to the neediest families in Gaza.

Marine relief also continued with the launch of the “Gaza II” ship in April 2024 from the Turkish port of Mersin, which carried an additional 900 tons of basic relief supplies.

In August of the same year, the "Gaza III" ship set sail, also carrying 1,650 tons of food parcels and health supplies; which contributed significantly to supporting the people of the Strip.

Land Relief

As for land relief, Al-Otaibi indicated that Kuwaiti trucks loaded with hundreds of tons of medical and relief aid crossed Jordanian territory to reach Gaza, and coordination was made with the relevant authorities to ensure that this aid reaches those entitled to it in a timely manner. Al-Otaibi confirmed that Kuwaiti charitable societies are preparing to operate more land convoys in the coming days; which reflects Kuwait's commitment to continuing humanitarian support for Gaza.

Kuwaiti Medical Teams

On another level, Kuwaiti medical teams played a vital role in supporting the Palestinian people on the ground. Teams consisting of Kuwaiti consultants and surgeons entered Gaza through the Rafah crossing, where they provided specialized medical services in difficult and complex circumstances. Al-Otaibi praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti medical teams that did not hesitate to provide the necessary health care, thus embodying the highest meanings of human solidarity.

Local Relief Convoys

Al-Otaibi added that the "Goodness Convoys" campaign, which targeted the displaced in Gaza, contributed significantly to the distribution of food baskets and other basic aid. He explained that what distinguishes this campaign is its reliance on purchasing relief supplies from the West Bank, which contributed to supporting the local economy there. This step reflects Kuwait's strategic thinking in providing aid, as it seeks to achieve a positive and sustainable impact on the humanitarian and economic levels.

Al-Otaibi concluded his statement by stressing that Kuwait's humanitarian efforts towards Gaza reflect the noble values held by Kuwaiti society, stressing that Kuwait will always remain a pioneer in humanitarian work, carrying a message of peace and hope to be afflicted peoples.
