  • The first thing that Muslim women should do regarding the Palestinian cause is to pray for our people in Gaza and Palestine.
  • Raising awareness is an essential weapon in achieving victory, all what happened to Muslims was due the lack of awareness.
  • Encourage your husband, family, relatives, and neighbors to financially support our people in occupied Palestine.
  • Women must educate their children regarding the Palestinian cause, explaining to them the significance of Jerusalem and “Al-Aqsa” for Muslims.

“Toofan Al-Aqsa” operation was launched when some believed that the Palestinian cause had been forgotten and normalization with the occupier had forced the Ummah to give up. This operation shattered the Zionist enemy's dominance and astonished the entire world, reigniting the fire in the conscience of the Ummah all over again.

This operation was launched in response to the repeated Zionist violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque, which recently had reached its peak along with the continuous attempts to Judaize the Prophet's Night Journey path (Isra and Mi'raj), and the ongoing violations against the Palestinians throughout various parts of Palestine.

The Zionist entity, having lost its balance and seen its capabilities break down, sought to regain its dominance. It carried out insane and brutal acts of revenge against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, launching missiles at unarmed innocent civilians, demolishing their homes over their heads, and maliciously targeting mosques. This was done with stark Western support, condemning the rightful owner, and backing the oppressive occupier, despite the aggression on Gaza Strip, which can only be characterized as a genocidal war.

One Ummah:

Amidst these challenging circumstances, which are completely insane and inhuman, it becomes essential to discuss supporting our brothers and sisters in Gaza Strip and the Palestinian cause in general. This support is rooted in the unity of faith, as Allah says, “Indeed this, your religion, is one religion, and I am your Lord, so worship Me” (Al-Anbiya: 92). Additionally, as the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The example of the believers in their affection, mercy, and compassion for each other is that of a body. When any limb aches, the whole body reacts with sleeplessness and fever” (Sahih Muslim, 4/1999).

Based on this, everyone has a role to play in these significant events. This highlights the Muslim women role, who have historically contributed strongly to the affairs of their community. They are partners with men, constituting half the society, while breeding the other half, making them the society’s core.

The Du’aa arrows

The first thing Muslim women should do regarding the Palestinian cause is to make du’aa for Gaza and Palestine. While some people may not give much attention to the power of du’aa, it’s essential to realize its significance and impact in times of crisis. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) himself, on the day of the Battle of Badr, was earnestly making du’aa to Allah, for he strongly believed in its effects during hard times. Ibn Abbas narrated that the prophet said while in a tent on the day of the Battle of Badr: “O Allah! I request you (to fulfill) Your promise and contract! O Allah! If You wish that you will not be worshipped henceforth..” On that Abu Bakr held the Prophet by the hand and said, “That is enough, O Allah's Messenger, You have appealed to your Lord too pressingly,” while the Prophet was putting on his armor. So Allah's Messenger went out, reciting Their multitude will be put to flight, and they will show their backs.”  (Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 4594).

The early Muslims and those following their footsteps understood the importance of du’aa in seeking victory. Al-Asma'i said, “When Qutaibah ibn Muslim engaged with the Turks and was outnumbered, he asked about Muhammad Ibn Wasa? So it was said: He’s there in the right flank holding his bow, aiming his finger at the sky(making du’aaa). Qutaibah said, “I prefer his single pointed finger aimed at the sky to a hundred thousand famous swords and a good-looking young man.” (Siyar A'lam al-Nubala by al-Dhahabi, 6/121).

Muslim women must regularly make du’aa with unwavering faith in the promises of Allah, reminding their family of its significance and importance. We all hope that Allah will relieve the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine through these prayers.

Raise awareness:

Awakening awareness is an indispensable weapon for achieving victory, as all what affected Muslims was due to the lack of awareness. The current events undeniably require the clarification of misconceptions, the presentation of facts, the emphasis on identity, and the highlighting of the conflict’s true nature. Muslim women can do this in their women's circles, on their social media, and with their children and family members.

The key areas that women can focus on in this regard include:

First: The Palestinian cause doesn’t only concern Palestinians, but it affects the entire Ummah, under the belief of loyalty and disavowal, Islamic brotherhood, and the reality of being one Muslim Ummah.

Second: Refuting what is propagated by the Zionist media that the conflict is between Hamas and the Israelis and emphasizing that it’s a battle between the rightful owners of the land and the oppressive occupiers.

Third: Refuting the West fallacy that the resistance in Gaza initiated the aggression. On one hand, the resistance launched its operation in response to the violations against Al-Aqsa and the attempts to Judaize it. On the other, it is a legitimate right for the resistance and cannot be described as initiating the aggression, because the Zionists declared hostility from the moment, they occupied Palestine.

Fourth: Sharing verified images and news that reveal the severity of the Israeli actions in Gaza, including the destruction of homes on its inhabitants and targeting mosques.

Fifth: Preaching about victory and prophecies related to the battles of the end of times and the triumph of Muslims over the Jews to remember the importance of the cause in Islam and instill a sense of optimism among the masses.

Sixth: Activating positive hashtags that support and endorse the Palestinian cause and the oppressed people of Gaza.

Financial aid:

It’s essential for Muslim women to encourage their husbands, families, relatives, and anyone they know to seek out organizations that can provide financial support to the Palestinians, especially in Gaza. They should also ensure the integrity and credibility of these organizations. The people of Gaza are in urgent need of supplies, medicines, medical aids, and field hospitals due to the high number of wounded and injured individuals. The Zionist enemy has cut Gaza off electricity and water supplies, making helping them currently a high priority.

The Mother role:

Then comes a role that’s not less important than the above mentioned, and its long-term impact is hoped. The mother must educate her children about the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine, starting from the current events, revealing the dimensions of this conflict, the importance of Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa Mosque for Muslims, and the necessity of supporting the oppressed, while engaging her children in the daily follow-up of current events.
