When searching for the mental image of the martyr, Yahya Al-Sinwar, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, among the Zionist entity, immediately upon his assassination announcement, you will find several positives, the most important of which are talking about his strictness in his religion and his resistance against the occupation, his determination, strength, and complete self-confidence, and his lonely death.
Strategic experts and Zionist writers tried to paint a mental image of Yahya Al-Sinwar, but they could only find positive qualities that only a military man of the highest caliber possesses, especially since he "considers himself a spiritual figure, not afraid of death, and as the operation "Al-Aqsa Flood" on October 7, 2023, placed him in the history of the Hamas movement and the Palestinian people as a whole.
The ball is in Sinwar's court
Initially, Israel's Channel 12 saw that Sinwar remained inside the Gaza Strip throughout the war and did not leave it, wanting to stay with his elements and military forces. This vision was repeated on the same channel, especially since it conveyed General Amos Yadlin, the former head of military intelligence "Aman," stating that the death of Sinwar marked the beginning of the end of the war in Gaza, and also the end of the beginning of the regional war between the Zionist entity and Iran.
It is strange that General Amos Yadlin ended his important article on the Hebrew channel with an important and powerful sentence, stating that "the ball is now in the hands of the Israeli government," meaning that during the past year, and throughout the war on Gaza, the ball was in the hands of the Palestinian resistance as a whole and Sinwar specifically, and that the important goal for his country is to reunite the detainees with their families and loved ones.
Comprehensive change for the Palestinian people amidst the hero image
The same idea was adopted by the newspaper "Maariv," stating that the essence for the Zionist entity after the martyrdom of Sinwar is "the idea of comprehensive change for the Palestinians in both Gaza and the West Bank, whether by prioritizing the release of detainees from Gaza, or by changing the educational curriculum for all Palestinians," meaning that Sinwar was a protector of the Palestinian people from any political, military, or cultural changes targeting the future of resistance in the occupied territories.
In parallel, all Israeli media outlets acknowledged that Sinwar was martyred while fighting the Zionist army, and did not hide inside the tunnels of Gaza as previously claimed, as if the "Israelis" unintentionally presented him in the image of a hero when they spoke about his death by a missile launched from a tank or a bullet in the head, not believing that they succeeded in eliminating the primary target on the Zionist army's list for many years.
"Prayer beads" and "daily prayers" amidst the gunfire
These media outlets published a picture of Sinwar next to his machine gun and hand grenades, suggesting that he fought in front of a huge military force for hours, maybe even for consecutive days, in addition to his "prayer beads" found in his "pants", and a paper with his "daily prayers", all after they spotted him moving between the streets of the town of Tel Al-Sultan in Rafah city, southern Gaza.
Unknowingly, those outlets confirmed through circulating pictures of Sinwar's martyrdom, his killing while advancing instead of surrendering, as he was killed inside a building and not inside a tunnel, defending himself with a stick on the ground and before it the firearm.
This is what made the Hebrew newspaper "Yisrael Hayom" see the killing of Sinwar as a "significant achievement" for the entity, despite confirming Sinwar's presence in Rafah, which means his martyrdom within the sector he never left since the beginning of October 7. He fell between his "prayer beads and rifle" which he never left, as the Hebrew media always circulates, when searching for the word "Sinwar" in Hebrew.
A New Middle East Gift
The Hebrew newspaper "Maariv Reshon" praised Yahya Sinwar, especially with the view that he was the determinant of the historical events that the Zionist entity is currently experiencing, and that he was the "heart" of this event, adding that the heart itself is not located in Iran, Lebanon or Yemen, but it was in Gaza. He was the main driver of the "Sword of Al-Aqsa" operation and other military operations against the entity in recent years. Adding that with the "killing of Sinwar, Israel received a valuable gift, represented in reshaping the new Middle East by increasing the number of Arab countries normalizing relations with it according to the vision of the Abraham Accords".
It is evident from the newspaper report that the October 7 operation succeeded in postponing normalization between Arab and Islamic countries with the Zionist entity, which was a clear reason during the war on Gaza. Therefore, the newspaper "Yedioth Ahronoth" hastened to affirm that Sinwar's martyrdom changed the rules of the game in the region as a whole, as it urged Netanyahu's government to take steps that could benefit from what it claimed were "tactical achievements" in the sector, holding strategic dimensions in that important moment in the history of the Middle East.
Serving Netanyahu's Arrogance
Contrary to the previous views, Israeli writer and political analyst Yossi Melman mentioned in an article in "Haaretz" that "killing Sinwar will not bring the Israeli captives closer to release from Gaza, but it will serve the arrogance and pride of Benjamin Netanyahu". This view suggests that the Zionist Prime Minister continues in his Zionist plans to eliminate all opposition, and that the captives are his victims, and he will not engage in negotiations to release them, only through military operations.
Interestingly, the Hebrew Channel 7 admitted that immediately after Sinwar's killing, there was an increase in Zionist calls for the establishment of Jewish settlements within Gaza, after many Zionist movements announced the organization of a conference near the borders of the sector to call for Jewish settlement, claiming to achieve the historical vision of the people of Israel. Noting that this conference will be attended by ministers, members of the Knesset, rabbis, and others Zionists interested in launching the first Jewish settlements inside Gaza; all as a result of Sinwar's martyrdom.
Historical Accomplishment
Overall, the Hebrew media saw Sinwar's martyrdom as a "historical achievement" and the beginning of making changes in the region through the launch of a new Middle East, in accordance with Netanyahu's Zionist visions, and renewed normalization with Arab and Islamic countries; despite portraying him as a hero, unintentionally, and his killing inside Gaza, and his complete refusal to leave the sector, in addition to his martyrdom with his rifle that always accompanied him, along with his "prayer beads" and "daily invocations", carrying the banner of "holy jihad" by acknowledging his steadfastness in his religion and resistance to Zionist occupation.
