A military expert, Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi, has analyzed the video clips released by the Palestinian resistance factions and the Israeli occupation. According to Al-Duwairi, the resistance videos are like real documentary films, while the occupation videos seem like manufactured propaganda that is unconvincing.
Proof of Operation
Al-Duwairi specifically mentioned a video released by the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas. This video showed the failed attempt to free an Israeli prisoner held by the movement. Al-Duwairi believes that this video provides clear evidence that the Israeli army's claims about the operation were false. The Al-Qassam video documented the killing of the Israeli prisoner and the members of the group that tried to liberate him, as well as their weapons and equipment. This confirms the deaths and injuries mentioned by the Israeli army spokesman.
Al-Duwairi thinks that this video will have a strong impact on Israeli society, as it proves the failure of the military operation to liberate prisoners. He believes that it will be even more shocking than previous resistance videos that targeted vehicles and soldiers.
Undermining Occupation Leaders
Al-Duwairi also mentioned that this failed attempt undermines the claims made by occupation leaders during the war on Gaza. They insisted that a ground invasion of the Strip was necessary to save the prisoners. However, this operation showed that their approach was unsuccessful. Al-Duwairi believes that Netanyahu, the occupation Prime Minister, hoped for the operation's success to support his position. But the Al-Qassam video proved that destroying Gaza could not free a single prisoner. Therefore, he must return to Hamas' conditions and negotiate.
Reality of Palestinian Fighters
Al-Duwairi commented on the scenes of fierce battles shown in the videos released by the Al-Qassam Brigades and the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement. He said that these scenes reveal the remarkable abilities of Palestinian fighters, which are above the level of ordinary human beings.
He mentioned one Qassam fighter who appeared with his head tied, indicating that he was injured in a previous operation. However, he still managed to target and destroy a Merkava tank. Al-Duwairi believes that fighters like him are rare and represent hope for the millions suffering from the occupation's genocide against the people of Gaza.
Failed Propaganda
In contrast to the realistic resistance scenes, Al-Duwairi believes that the Israeli occupation's video was a failed attempt at propaganda. He described its production as ridiculous and superficial. The video was meant to respond to the resistance clips and cover them up, but it did not achieve its goal due to its obvious shortcomings.
Al-Duwairi explained that the video was filmed in an empty school and featured a constant sound of bullets being fired at one tone, indicating one-sided shooting. It also showed an Israeli soldier warning another not to shoot at him, but no Palestinian resistance members were seen in front of the soldiers.
