Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan: Media disinformation used against Gaza, as happened in Afghanistan and Iraq

The Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, spoke out about media misinformation being used against the Gaza Strip. He compared it to what happened in Afghanistan and Iraq in the past.

Media Misinformation and Israel

Fidan believes that Israel is using media misinformation to defend itself after causing the deaths of over 14,000 people in Gaza, including 6,000 children. He says that Israel is even bombing hospitals and falsely accusing others of doing the same. They are also searching for tunnels under hospitals. Fidan thinks that Israel is trying to hide the fact that they are occupying Gaza and continuing their unfair practices in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

Turkey's Efforts

Turkey is taking action on two fronts. First, they want to establish a complete ceasefire and ensure that humanitarian aid can reach Gaza without any interruptions. Second, they are working towards achieving a permanent peace solution based on the idea of having two separate states for Israelis and Palestinians. Fidan believes that the only way to end the conflict is by creating an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

True Peace and Western Governments

Fidan emphasizes that true peace cannot be achieved by simply repeating what Israel does or by letting them get away with their crimes. He calls on Western governments to speak up against the war crimes committed by Israel. Fidan believes that their silence and lack of support for a real ceasefire shows a moral and political collapse. He warns that supporting Israel, whether with conditions or unconditionally is like giving them permission to kill more Palestinians.

It's important to be aware of media misinformation and how it can be used to manipulate the truth. Fidan's words remind us to question what we see and hear in the news. We should always strive for peace and justice, and not turn a blind eye to the suffering of others.
