Society refers to the collective group of individuals living within a defined geographical area, bound together by known human, moral, and legal ties shared by the vast majority.
A sound individual in any recognized society strives to respect the norms, traditions, and laws that regulate social relations, as they aim to remain within an environment of respect, esteem, and disciplined conduct.
Human societies differ from one place to another based on their cultural, religious, and political legacies, making it challenging to compare Arab societies with American, German, Brazilian, or other societies.
Historically, human societies adhered firmly to their traditions and preserved their customs, creating elevated spaces marked by respect, compassion, solidarity, and cooperation.
Today, however, there is a clear struggle between good and evil, purity and corruption, beauty and ugliness, peace and war, family and disintegration, unity and discord, love and hatred, life and death.
Political and media discourses—and more recently, even sports narratives—are among the most influential factors shaping the thoughts of our societies.
The most significant danger is that children and youth are the primary target demographic for these policies, as the architects of such strategies know that destroying these groups equates to destroying the state and society itself, eliminating the need for direct confrontations with any human community.
Youth represent the true and fundamental strength for building any society. They are the embodiment of vigor, challenge, resilience, creativity, and progress. Thus, they become the focal point of malicious programs aiming to undermine our societies.
This calls for building strong, solid barriers to protect societal values. Achieving this begins with self-confidence in overcoming this deceptive war—one that achieves the same destructive goals as physical wars, like those in Gaza, but through soft, misleading tools dressed in appealing disguises.
These conflicts are not random but are part of calculated plans. They appear to promote beauty, civilization, closeness, cooperation, empathy, and construction. Yet, beneath the surface, they propagate ugliness, savagery, division, hostility, and destruction. Many hostile media outlets, along with their allies, strive to implant these negative influences in our societies, often succeeding in making most people addicted to the internet and its usage.
There are numerous pure values that must be preserved, foremost among them the ethical framework of respecting elders, showing compassion to the young, and valuing knowledge and scholars.
Additionally, any deviant attempts to undermine security must be resisted, along with efforts to maintain legal justice and protect the weak from the powerful and oppressive.
Governmental, popular, and advocacy work is viewed as among the most vital tools for preserving society. These efforts are capable of halting the complacency in addressing intellectual violence, whether soft or lethal, perpetuated through media aimed at corrupting society, imprisoning minds, and chaining them to the illusions of false idols.
This preservation can only occur through a stable state that decisively combats all degrading and base invitations while sincerely supporting all noble and humane causes.
Ibn Khaldun aptly remarked, “Man is social by nature.” This sociability necessitates preserving human purity and avoiding a descent into animalistic and base behaviors. Thus, when in a fair and safe environment, one can advocate for goodness and uphold noble values. Conversely, in an unjust and terrifying environment, even the simplest pure human values cannot be spread.
Let us safeguard our societies from deviant posts aiming to normalize harassment, domestic violence, drugs, false idols, complacency toward immorality, and instead focus on promoting modesty, compassion, highlighting genuine role models, and firmly opposing calls for moral corruption.
Protect our societies from corrupt individuals, saboteurs, enemies, and malicious soft power, for the destruction of society means the destruction of humanity, and the destruction of humanity means the ruin of life, hope, the present, and the future.
