South African Minister of Justice Confident in Court's Ruling

The South African Minister of Justice, Ronald Lamola, expressed confidence that the International Court of Justice will rule in their favor after presenting convincing evidence against Israel. Lamola believes that the case file they submitted is strong and supports their claims of genocide.

Israel Presents Defense in Second Hearing

During the second hearing at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, Israel presented its defense against the genocide charges brought by South Africa. The court dedicated a session to Israel's defense, where they attempted to refute the lawsuit.

No Justification for Acts of Genocide

Minister Lamola emphasized that there is no justification for acts of genocide. He thanked the demonstrators who supported the lawsuit and the residents of the Gaza Strip, Ramallah, and other parts of Palestine. Lamola firmly believes that the detailed presentation by their legal team cannot be refuted through propaganda, but only with facts and evidence.

Israel's Alleged Justifications Surprising

Lamola found Israel's alleged justifications before the International Court of Justice surprising. Israel referred to the Genocide Convention as essential for its protection, claiming that it cannot violate its provisions. However, Lamola believes that self-defense is not a valid reason to commit acts of genocide.

An Explicit Invitation to Kill

Lamola highlighted the statements made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, specifically mentioning the term "Amalek." He stated that these statements can be interpreted as an explicit call to kill everyone, including women and children, and commit genocide against all Palestinians. South Africa considers these statements as evidence of Israel's intent.

Denouncing Israel's Justifications

Minister Lamola strongly denounced Israel's justifications and questioned how the world can ignore the statements made by the country's prime minister, defense minister, and generals. He believes that these statements shape the policy of the State of Israel and influence the actions of its soldiers.
