  Ongoing Genocide in Gaza

The Israeli occupation forces continue to commit the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip for the 444th consecutive day, launching dozens of airstrikes and artillery shelling, while perpetrating massacres against civilians amid a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the siege and the displacement of more than 95% of the population.

Violent Bombings

Our correspondents reported that the occupation's planes and artillery continued their violent bombings on Monday in various areas of the Gaza Strip, targeting homes, shelters for the displaced, and streets, resulting in dozens of martyrs and injuries.

 Ground Invasion in Rafah

The occupation forces continue their ground invasion in vast neighborhoods of Rafah since May 7, with multiple fronts in Gaza amid air and artillery bombardment and the committing of horrific massacres, along with the destruction of citizens' homes in the Jabalia camp.

Siege and Starvation in Northern Gaza

For the 80th consecutive day, northern Gaza is suffering under an Israeli siege and starvation amid intense air and artillery bombardments, fully isolating the northern governorate from Gaza.

Disruption of Civil Defense

The occupation forces have also forcibly disrupted the work of the civil defense in northern Gaza for the 60th consecutive day due to ongoing Israeli targeting and aggression, leaving thousands of citizens without humanitarian and medical care.

Targeting of Civilians

Martyrs have fallen, and others have been injured in the occupation's targeting of a gathering of citizens on Mushta Street in the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City.

Massacres and Casualties

The Ministry of Health announced that the Israeli occupation has committed 5 massacres against families in the Gaza Strip, with 58 martyrs and 86 injuries reported in hospitals over the past 24 hours. The ministry stated in a statement: There are still a number of victims under the rubble and in the streets that emergency and civil defense crews cannot reach. It confirmed that the toll of the Israeli aggression has reached 45,317 martyrs and 107,713 injuries since October 7, 2023.

Targeting of Displaced Persons

Two citizens were martyred and 5 others injured due to the occupation's targeting of a tent for displaced persons near the Bani Suheila roundabout east of Khan Younis. Civil defense crews in Rafah managed to rescue a citizen from under the rubble of a house belonging to the "Duhair" family after it was targeted by Israeli occupation planes in the Masbah area north of Rafah.

Wounded Elderly Woman

A wounded elderly woman was brought to the European Hospital due to a gunshot wound from an Israeli occupation quadcopter in Abassan, east of Khan Younis. Our correspondent reported that the occupation forces have been carrying out airstrikes since yesterday, in addition to artillery shelling on the new camp in Al-Nussairat camp, along with gunfire and bombs from quadcopters. He emphasized the severity of the situation in the northern part of the camp.

Advancement into Al-Nussairat Camp

He added that the occupation forces advanced into the camp yesterday and besieged thousands of citizens and displaced persons in their homes and schools in the northern part of the camp. This morning, locals recovered 3 martyrs amidst confirmation that there are more martyrs in the area that are difficult to retrieve. One martyr fell to the gunfire of the Israeli occupation forces at a school housing displaced persons in the northwestern part of Al-Nussairat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Artillery and Gunfire in Jabaliya

The occupation's artillery targeted various areas in Jabaliya, coinciding with gunfire from vehicles in western Jabaliya and from helicopter fire. The occupation blew up a residential square in the al-Jinina neighborhood in Rafah in conjunction with intense artillery shelling. Two citizens were martyred, and 19 others, including one in serious condition, were wounded due to the occupation's drone shelling targeting a group of citizens in the Mowasi area of Rafah city, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Attacks on Civilian Vehicles

Additionally, two citizens were martyred and several others injured in an attack by the occupation targeting a civilian vehicle in the Mowasi area west of Khan Younis governorate. One citizen was also martyred as a result of the occupation targeting a home belonging to a soldier in the Shati neighborhood, east of Gaza governorate.

Demolition Operations

The occupation forces executed demolition operations on residential buildings in Beit Lahiya, north of the Gaza Strip, simultaneously with gunfire from military vehicles stationed in the al-Saftawi area, in addition to ongoing airstrikes in the northern and southern parts of Gaza. The occupation also demolished several homes in the Jabaliya camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

In recent decades, there has been much talk about "Islamic terrorism" in all Western and colonial media, which have made distorting the image of Islam a central objective. This is due to the fact that Islam is a comprehensive entity that does not dissolve into the data they want to impose on the nations of the earth in the name of globalization, liberalism, and various other names; thus, diverting Islam from its main divine purposes.

Extremism and Moderation in Religions

Everyone knows that in every belief and religion there are extremists and moderates representing varying proportions, and the smallest of these proportions are found within Islam, which is defined by the framework set forth in the Holy Quran, the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and the conduct of his companions.

Negative Effects on Muslims' Reputation

This attack has left undeniable negative effects on the reputation of Muslims around the world, particularly in the West. This accusation has become a black hole through which they attempt to absorb and scatter the virtues and nobility of Islam. One of the preachers in Turkey, who works to spread Islam among tourists coming from Europe, said that the first question we are asked in this context by tourists is about the connection between terrorism and Islam!

Quranic Verses on Forgiveness and Tolerance

The Quranic verses that encourage forgiveness and tolerance are very numerous. Allah says:

  • "If they submit, they will be ˹rightly˺ guided. But if they turn away, then your duty is only to deliver ˹the message˺. And Allah is All-Seeing of ˹His˺ servants." (Al-Imran: 20)
  • "Do not argue with the People of the Book unless gracefully, except with those of them who act wrongfully. And say, 'We believe in what has been revealed to us and what was revealed to you. Our God and your God is ˹only˺ One. And to Him we ˹fully˺ submit.'" (Al-'Ankabut: 46)
  • "Had your Lord so willed ˹O Prophet˺, all ˹people˺ on earth would have certainly believed, every single one of them! Would you then force people to become believers?" (Yunus: 99)
  • "Let there be no compulsion in religion, for the truth stands out clearly from falsehood. So whoever renounces false gods and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest, unfailing hand-hold. And Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing." (Al-Baqarah: 256)
  • "You ˹O Prophet˺ will always find deceit on their part, except for a few. But pardon them and bear with them. Indeed, Allah loves the good-doers." (Al-Ma'idah: 13)
  • "Be gracious, enjoin what is right, and turn away from those who act ignorantly." (Al-A'raf: 199)

Forgiveness, as is known, is the highest degree of tolerance, and the level of tolerance reaches the command, as He, the Exalted, says: "So, bear with them and respond with peace. They will soon come to know." (Az-Zukhruf: 89)

The Prophet's Example of Forgiveness

The noble Prophet's biography is filled with examples of forgiveness and tolerance, and perhaps its peak lies in the conquest of Mecca when the Prophet pardoned those who had wronged him, insulted him, fought against him, and expelled him from his home. This stance requires independent research outside the context here.

The Universal Message of Islam

And the Messenger, may peace be upon him, after establishing the foundations of monotheism, was tasked with spreading his message to the whole world, as Allah, the Exalted, says: "We have sent you ˹O Prophet˺ only as a mercy for the whole world." (Al-Anbya: 107) And His saying, the Highest: "Blessed is the One Who sent down the Decisive Authority to His servant, so that he may be a warner to the whole world." (Al-Furqan: 1) "It is only a reminder to the whole world." (Sad: 87-88) That is, spreading the idea of tolerance and forgiveness is one of the main tasks of the Islamic message, along with the equality that gives it the characteristic of universality.

Misconceptions of Islamic Conquests

Therefore, Western thought, especially colonial thought, works to connect the movement of Islamic conquests with what they refer to as "terrorism" these days. This connection is weak and has no objective historical basis.

The Sword's Lie

Recognition by Western Thinkers

To be objective, many Western thinkers have recognized these aspects of Islam and have written passionately in defense of it. However, amidst the noise of media sensationalism, these voices are hardly heard. One of the most important writers who approached the subject objectively is T. W. Arnold in his well-known book "The Preaching of Islam," which is one of the rare books in this field due to its reliance on hundreds of sources in various languages.

Conquests and Apostasy

Therefore, he affirms that these enormous conquests were not the result of a religious war waged in the name of spreading Islam, but rather followed a widespread movement of apostasy from Christianity to the extent that it has always been thought that this apostasy was the goal aimed at by the conquering Arabs!

Relations Between Christians and Muslims

Mr. "Arnold" says that the friendly relations that developed between Christians and Arab Muslims did not occur due to force and domination, but rather as a natural result of what the people of these countries and their religious leaders observed in the tolerance of the conquerors.

Misconceptions by Some Historians

Some Christian historians have begun to view the sword as a tool for Islamic proselytism, stemming from their resentments and hatred towards the new religion, and from their loss of the distinguished status they had gained due to their religious and clerical positions.

Conversion of Arab Tribes

The narrative continues that many Arab tribes that had embraced Christianity for centuries abandoned it at that time to convert to Islam. Among the most important of these tribes were the Banu Ghassan (the Ghassanids), who extended their influence over most of the Levant. It was said of them: "Lords in the Age of Ignorance, stars in Islam."

The Role of Caliph Umar

The righteous caliph Umar was attentive to the matter of these tribes entering Islam, so he provided them with teachers to instruct them in the principles of Islam. He appointed teachers in every region whose profession was to teach the people the Quran and educate them in religious matters. He instructed his officials to encourage these new Muslims, both young and old, to consistently attend the congregational prayers, especially on Fridays and during the month of Ramadan. He did not impose "men of religion" or "clergy" upon them, as seen in other religions. In Islam, there is no clerical hierarchy; rather, there are scholars and knowledgeable individuals.

Testimonials from Syrian Christians

When Abu Ubaidah camped in the Jordan Valley, the Christians of Syria wrote to him after witnessing the tolerance and compassion of the Muslims: "O Muslims, you are more beloved to us than the Romans, even if they share our religion. You are more trustworthy and compassionate towards us, you refrain from wronging us, and you govern us better." The people of the open territories adhered to the Jacobite and Nestorian sects, which subjected them to sectarian persecutions by the Byzantines who did not belong to either of these sects!

The Falsehood of Tribute ‘Jizya’

Questioning Historical Accuracy

As for what is rumored about Omar forcing Christians to practice certain customs, such as shaving the heads of their priests and tightening their girdles, the historian "Arnold" doubts its accuracy; he has not found any text regarding this from that period, and the first to mention this document was Ibn Hazm, who died around the middle of the fifth century AH, after the emergence of extremist currents that sought to find a historical justification for their actions.

The Concept of "Jizya"

As for "jizya," it is a term synonymous with "tax" of any kind paid by non-Muslims to the treasury in exchange for their exemption from the compulsory military service imposed on Muslims. Its value was modest; the affluent had to pay forty-eight dirhams a year, the middle class paid twenty-four, while those in need, such as farmers and manual laborers, paid twelve dirhams.

Abu Ubaidah's Example

Abu Ubaidah returned the tribute money to the people of Syria when he believed he could not protect them from the Romans. He wrote to them: "We have returned your money to you because we have heard about the forces that have gathered against us, and you have stipulated that we protect you from them, and we are unable to do that. We have returned to you what we took from you, and we remain committed to the terms we agreed upon, should Allah grant us victory over them."

Fair Treatment of Non-Muslims

There is much that confirms that Omar did not practice any form of distinguished transactions against the People of the Book, nor did the Muslims who came after him treat those who remained in their faith as Christians in such a manner. The rightly guided caliphs and all the general Muslims followed this approach.

Christian Churches Under Islamic Rule

In the year 92 AH / 711 AD, a Jacobite church was built with the permission of Caliph Al-Walid bin Abdul Malik. Khalid Al-Qasri, who was the governor of the Persian and Arab Iraq (105 - 120 AH), built a church for his Christian mother to worship in!

During the reign of the Abbasid Caliph Al-Mahdi (158 – 196 AH), a church was built in Baghdad for the Christians who had been captured during the wars with the Byzantines. During the era of Harun al-Rashid (170 – 193 AH), "Sergius," the Nestorian bishop of Basra, received permission to build a church in Basra. Additionally, a church was built in Babylon that contained the tombs of the prophets Daniel and Ezekiel.

Tolerance in Islamic Conquests

Christian communities in the East, after the Islamic conquests, experienced what they had not witnessed for many centuries, whether under Roman or Persian rule. For example, in the fifth century AD, "Barsauma," the Bishop of Nazareth, incited the Persian king and got close to him, leading to the slaughter of 7,800 Orthodox Church members. Additionally, the Persian king "Khosrow" carried out another massacre of the Orthodox under the incitement of the Jacobite!

Dispelling Myths of the Sword and Terrorism

The myth of the sword and terrorism falls before these historical truths. One of the reasons for the conversion of Christians to Islam was the deterioration that afflicted the Eastern Church in both moral and spiritual aspects. They sought a pure spiritual environment, which they found in the clarity of monotheism.

Insights from Orientalists

"Keitany," one of the prominent Orientalists of the nineteenth century, believes that the spread of Islam among the Christians of the Eastern churches was a result of their dissatisfaction with the sectarian sophistry brought into Christian theology by the Hellenistic Greek spirit.

He adds that we – meaning the Westerners – have not heard of any orchestrated attempt to force non-Muslim sects to accept Islam, nor of any organized persecution aimed at eradicating Christianity. If the caliphs had chosen to implement one of these plans, they could have easily eradicated Christianity in the same way that "Ferdinand" and "Isabella" expelled Islam from Andalusia.

Broad Principles of Tolerance

These were the broad principles for dealing with the People of the Book by Muslims, and although some historical cases deviated from this rule, they are rare instances. One notable example is when Al-Mutawakkil, the Abbasid caliph (847-861 CE), exhibited a kind of harshness towards all of his opponents, even among Muslims!

Treatment of Holy Sites

Even during the days of the Crusades, it is known that when the Crusaders entered Jerusalem (493 AH / 1099 AD), they desecrated Al-Aqsa Mosque, built a wall in front of the mihrab, converted another section of it into a church and raised the cross on it. They referred to another section as the "Temple of Solomon" and made it a stable for their horses next to it, for a group of them known as the Knights Templar.

Islam of Bogomilists

From modern history, let us provide one example for remembrance: the conversion of the people of Bosnia to Islam. These individuals are originally Serbs who belong to a religious sect called “Bogomilism”. The Catholic Church considered them heretics and ordered crusades against them because many of their beliefs are similar to those of Muslims, such as the prohibition of drinking alcohol, their refusal to worship the Virgin Mary and their rejection of baptism, as well as their denial of the cross as a religious symbol. They believed that Christ himself was not crucified. Therefore, when the Ottoman Muslims entered Serbia, these people converted to Islam. Subsequently, they became victims of massacres, killings, and displacement that continue to this day. Their national affiliation did not provide them with any protection. This is something that has never happened in the long history of Islam. The massacres they experienced and the mass rape of their women in the 1990s remain a stain on the overall Western history, which stood as a bystander to these events and did not label them as organized terrorism or any other commonly used terms.

Since 1984, when I wrote the paper "The Game of Modern Art," up until today, March 2015, the evidence and confirmation of all the decisive issues I raised in it have increased, which are linked to the resulting movements like bubbles. Everything I connected with seemingly strange and conflicting fields has also been confirmed, in order to clarify the hidden and driving backgrounds behind it as a destructive tool for civilizations and humanity. These backgrounds have been intricately woven because they represent an inseparable part of the new global system; that is, they were fabricated for a specific reason: to destroy all moral and religious sanctities and to impose all forms of immorality and depravity so that they seem natural and familiar!

The New Global System

The new global system is a program based on the establishment of a single political, economic, social, intellectual, and religious order in the world, to facilitate its leadership. This system is based on four main axes, three of which have nearly been implemented. This was achieved by uprooting the left in the 1980s, leaving only the capitalist system in all its harshness and unifying the outlines of the economy by establishing a market economy and transcontinental corporations. Moreover, ethics and values have been destroyed, and indecency and drugs have been imposed to the extent that these vices seem to be a customary or normal part of societies! They have invented the notion of "gender" and attempted to impose it since the days of the Women and Population Conference (in 1995), advocating for the individual’s right to change their gender by choice and practice. Indeed, this "gender" theory has been introduced into French schools this year at the elementary level, imposing fines on parents who prevent their children from attending these indecent lessons that contradict the natural disposition with which God created humans.

Gender Theory in Schools

The Premier of Ontario introduced it into schools last month but starting from the age of nine! They are currently destroying the religious axis, especially Islam, in these decades, after having demonized it since the events of September 11, 2001. What the West, particularly the Vatican, is doing now is a determined effort to Christianize the world, with an irreversible decision since the Second Vatican Council (1965).

The Artistic Field

And if we return to the artistic field, we would find that the Western market was simultaneously and consecutively inundated with a stream of artists who were recruited, along with the fabrication of an overwhelming number of explosive movements like bubbles. I counted 172 movements when I started writing my research, and I included their names at the end of the study. Additionally, another large number of writers and critics were recruited to condition the audience to accept ugliness and pornography in its most horrific forms, to the point that my book no longer warns of what is happening and will happen, but it rather seems as if it was written yesterday, due to the degradation and imposed deviation that has afflicted societies.

Connection Between Photography and Other Fields

In the second half of the twentieth century, no one thought or realized, at least in our Arab and Muslim countries, that there was a connection between the field of photography and several other areas such as politics, economics, stock markets, money laundering, drugs, or even between it and the demolition of human and religious moral values in all societies. The prevalence of ugliness, self-destruction, rampant obscenity, and the distasteful dependence on the West has become the defining characteristics of our time. These flowing doctrines in the field of photography were not imposed only in this area but also in all forms of artistic expression, such as sculpture, music, literature in its various forms, and theater, which are the fields that socially constitute the human emotional foundation in general.

Role of Writers and Critics

At the same time, the number of paid writers and critics has increased, who cheer and promote all these malicious deviations imposed globally under the names of "freedom of expression," "freedom of creativity," "innovation," or "progress and advancement," imitating the West! The critics write whatever can be placed under any of those absurd works, without any distinction; what matters is glorifying that lowly emptiness and that dissolution devoid of any meaning, so that the public becomes accustomed to ugliness, chaos, and the loss of values.

The Extremes of Modern Art

The disrespect and degradation of the spectator's feelings in the twentieth century reached such extremes that they invented what they called "Shit Art." The artist Piero Manzoni displayed his feces as a work of art, and then went further in his vulgarity by defecating into new metal cans, sealing them, and writing on the paper strip that surrounded the can the phrase "Artist's feces." He signed his name on the surface of the can, and sadly, the can was sold for thousands of euros, with museums in the West clamoring to acquire it. Meanwhile, Francis Bacon held an exhibition titled "Man and the Toilet." As for Jeff Koons, he further descended into vulgarity by depicting his intimate relationships with his wife in several paintings labeled "Made in Heaven," or by creating inflatable plastic sculptures with garish sexual insinuations. The sculpture called "Balloon Flower Magenta" was sold for an equivalent of 16.343 million euros at Christie’s in 2008. Here lies the process of money laundering, as when they enacted laws facilitating this destructive indulgence of societies, they issued legislation exempting it from taxes. How many vices occur under the guise of this exemption!

Money Laundering in the Art World

On March 16, 2015, the French magazine "Le Point," also reported by the British newspaper "The Financial Times," announced the arrest of Swiss businessman "Yves Bouvier" and the seizure of his assets. He is one of the prominent art dealers, accused of fraud and complicity in money laundering by issuing inflated invoices amounting to tens of millions of euros in a deal involving the sale of paintings to Russian billionaire "Dmitry Rybolovlev." The report also indicated that the art market, which thrives primarily in Monaco, Switzerland, and Singapore, has transaction values exceeding fifty billion euros, and is considered a wide field for money laundering and tax evasion. A conference is set to be held in Geneva in November of this year to discuss the situation of art and money laundering, suggesting that "consciences" there are beginning to awaken after nearly a century of manipulation, money laundering, and unchecked behavior, and after ugliness has become something commonplace!

Decline in Artistic Standards

It is sad and even shameful to see, here in Egypt, those who have succumbed to this decline and held an exhibition of watercolors inspired by his daughter's Vulva, without regard for any sanctity. Critics praised him widely at that time and even after his death! Many fell into the trap of depicting obscenities, not to mention the deterioration that has afflicted the level of graduates from art colleges due to the imposition of the absurdities of the West, without awareness or understanding of what they conceal. It is enough for them to feel sorrowful and humiliated by the loss of the ability to draw, which is akin to the backbone of the art of painting.

Hyperrealism and Deception

What is even more regrettable is that many of them resort to imitating the West to mask their loss of the talent for drawing and invent a doctrine of "Hyperrealism," which is based on printing an image onto the canvas from a photograph, and then they add some touches with oil paints, making the painting appear extremely realistic, as it is based on a photographic print. The mimickers here in our Arab countries have fallen into this trap, forgetting that by imitating this particular trend, they have turned into mere "painters" and even forgers. What they present to the public does not represent their actual level, but rather is a form of deception and forgery.

Confessions of Western Artists

Some of those who succumbed to or led this destruction in the West have confessed, using very revealing phrases about this game, the game of modern art. For example, the artist "Salvador Dalí" said: "Contemporary art is an international institution for nonsense," or "Antoine Tzapoff" said about that art: "The important thing is to destroy all values, provided that politics is not touched, and to drive humanity to the extremes of stupidity and to accept ugliness." Additionally, "Pablo Picasso" acknowledged to the Italian writer "Giovanni Papini" what was published in the Italian "Black Book" in 1952 and republished in the newspaper "Rivarol" on April 12, 1973.

Picasso's Bitter Confession

"The artist can practice his talent with all the new methods, all the flights of his imagination, using all means of cultural charlatanism and deception. The people no longer seek solace and encouragement in art; rather, the wealthy, idle elites, who are in search of distinction, look for what is new, what is strange, for money, for exaggeration, and for what is scandalous. As for me, since the Cubist movement and beyond, I have satisfied these gentlemen and these critics with all the oddities and changing absurdities that have occupied my mind. The more they fail to understand what I do, the more they admire me! And today, as you know, I am famous and wealthy... But, when I am alone with myself, I do not have the courage to consider myself an artist in the true sense of the word. I am merely a jester for the masses, a jester who understands his era and exploits it to the utmost degree of folly, triviality, and complicity. It is a bitter confession, and it is more bitter and painful than it seems, but it is an honest expression!"

The Question of Revival

There is no doubt that it is a bitter acknowledgment, but does humanity compensate for what it has lost or everything that has been destroyed?

After these damning confessions, and many others, what remains is for me to pose the question in our Arab countries to all those who have succumbed to the game of modern art, either out of ignorance or intentionally:

Hope for Revival

Is their hope for a revival of consciences after the true destructive hidden aspects of that game have been revealed?!

Is there hope for rebuilding what has been demolished of our heritage, our civilizations, our values, and the morals of our youth, or even for rebuilding the artist as a sincere human being, true to himself and to others, so that human civilization may shine once again?!

The Art of Leadership

In 'Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy', which was published in 2022, he delves into international relations while weaving together historical events, personal anecdotes, and astute observations into one excellent treatise on the art of leadership. This masterwork is the sum testament of Kissinger's understanding of the difficulties found in statecraft and distilling leadership through the experiences of six visionary leaders.

Different leadership styles

Kissinger studied the leadership strategies of world-class leaders such as Konrad Adenauer, Charles de Gaulle, Richard Nixon, Anwar Sadat, Lee Kuan Yew, and Margaret Thatcher. This deep, broad awareness of the complex context shaping the decision-making process makes Kissinger successful in examining great men. By studying the triumphs and tribulations faced by these heroes, he dissects the unique approach of leadership that conceals a well-improved framework, indicating the threads such an approach would have woven into the world tapestry.

Humble strategy

These six case studies would take one far into the private wiles of a leader's mind, revealing the parts of their operation that might have led them to success. For Adenauer, Kissinger describes the successful "strategy of humility," which enabled the former Chancellor of Germany to steer calmly through the churning waters of post-war reconstruction. Thus, the nation devastated by conflict has been rebuilt by securing the surrender to and acceptance of the guidance of allies.

A strategy of will

Kissinger's analysis is an alternative viewpoint concerning how de Gaulle put "strategy of will" into practice. On this point, it underlies a much more frantic approach in which de Gaulle's determination is not only strong but unyieldingly steadfast even under adversity. De Gaulle's sharp resolution versed in skepticism and opposition would make him install some projection of France to come. An equilibrium strategy.

Strategy of equilibrium

Similarly, the chapter on Nixon is of great exceptional interest, as it prays to Kissinger to analyze the guide of the "strategy of equilibrium" determining every one of his foreign actions of the Company's chief. Thus, it sufficed for Nixon to satisfy primal fear by paying attention to the imperatives of Cold War, in the need of balanced approach to Soviet Union, without threat of isolating America.

Strategy of transcendence

Sadat's "strategy of transcendence" strikes a chord in Chapter 4, where Kissinger captures the gutsy Egyptian leader as he tries to effect a peace treaty between Israel and Egypt. Sadat's ambition to rise above the political division of the Middle East with the willingness to take risks finally paved the way to a memorable breakthrough, which resulted to have far-reaching consequences for the stability of the region.

Strategy of excellence

A true testament of how visionary leadership can effect transformation is Lee Kuan Yew's "strategy of excellence" in Chapter 5. With a rigorous approach to governance, Lee engineered meteoric soar of Singapore from a small island nation into a successful economic powerhouse.

Strategy of Conviction

The last chapter in Kissinger's work is devoted to that compelling figure of "strategy of conviction," the British prime minister who would leave the boardrooms and tea rooms of Britain dramatically changed. The Thatcher made radical changes in British society as she gained converts in other nations for her notions of commitment to principles, her approach to communicating very directly with the British people, and exacting empathy in running through the rough waters of an imperial Britain now repackaged as a powerhouse in the world.

The wind quality of humility, by humor, and the humanity in this book makes it a very accessible way to learn about the great leaders. Kissinger takes his subject matter and combines it as though a puzzle made up of varied bits of historical events, policy initiatives, and personal anecdotes, into a complete tapestry of insight.

Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy' offers a very deep, thoughtful, and perceptive piece of work to the reader, giving him the rarest glimpse into the minds of some of the most powerful leaders of the world. According to Kissinger, "Leadership is making decisions, building trust, keeping promises, and pointing the way ahead." This masterclass is indeed prescribed for all who wish to comprehend statecraft in its minutest possible detail, apart from what molds and shapes the great.

The art of leadership is not a question of 'what', but of 'when' and 'how'

In a world where nations no longer have borders and stakes run higher than ever before, "Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy" is a timely reminder of the continuing significance of visionary leadership in the movement of history. In Kissinger's words, "The art of leadership is not a question of 'what', but of 'when' and 'how'." The very essence of this text can be understood as being a tribute to the leadership power that remains and the fact that, even amidst uncertainty and adversity, the human spirit may achieve greatness by virtue of that shared leadership.

Thus, Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy is a classic that will never die and will continue to teach and inspire future leaders and scholars. This book stands as a testament to Kissinger's ongoing legacy. It serves as a bridge between past and present and imparts lessons on the art of leadership as well as its relevance in the context of the ever-changing world of international relations.

What They Said About the Book

Wall Street Journal.

One of the hallmarks of Henry Kissinger's latest book, ‘Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy’, is that it stitches together two main lines from this illustrious life.

In the first place, grand strategic mastery fits him - he has this feel of how nations may maneuver for carrying their aims in the world.

And he is a keen observer of the human side to strategy; it's not about making decisions, he's keenly interested in all aspects of leadership-trust-building, promise-keeping, and prescribing the path forward. James Stavridis, The Wall Street Journal, calls the work an "extraordinary" research into leadership, referring to how it deftly combined historical case studies and political biographies.

Financial Times

The Financial Times agrees with this observation as well, noting that despite not serving in any government office since 1977, Kissinger is now considered an elder statesman to whom there is much to learn. Indeed, the New York Journal of Books urges its readers to recommend some of Kissinger's works-leaning toward ‘Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy'-that this source calls a "must read."

New Criterion

The New Criterion puts Kissinger in an exclusive cadre with a historical sensitivity, personal familiarity with the leaders, and diplomatic experience: this sort of study can offer a more historically sensitive understanding of the iconic statesman of the Cold War era than would ever seem possible. In its starred review, Library Journal states that it has fulfilled expectations with a reflective and contextual analysis of the 20th-century political figures he has known, where "his distinctive perspectives" are embedded in "scholarly, readable prose."

 Publishers Weekly

In evaluating the policy analyses of Kissinger, Publishers Weekly remarked that he has infused them with colorful firsthand observations and has therefore painted an engaging portrait of politicians who turned weakness into strength. The review concludes with the statement that **Leadership: Six Studies in World Strategy** is a major study of power in action and therefore insightful as to the art of leadership.

Yusuf Nada, the Egyptian businessman and a prominent leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, passed away today, Sunday, at the age of 93. Nada held significant positions within the Muslim Brotherhood, serving as the organization's international commissioner and playing important mediation roles between various countries.

Early Life and Career

Nada was born in Alexandria in 1931 and attended the Faculty of Agriculture at Alexandria University, where he graduated. He began his advocacy and political career at an early age, joining the Muslim Brotherhood in 1948 at the age of 17, becoming a member of the organization's second generation.

Influence and Leadership

Influenced by the teachings of the Brotherhood's founder, Sheikh Hassan al-Banna, Nada's intellectual and ideological orientations were profoundly shaped. His association with the Muslim Brotherhood was not merely membership; Nada was one of its most prominent leaders, leaving a lasting impact on its modern history.

Military Involvement and Imprisonment

In 1951, Nada participated in the Suez Canal War against British occupation. However, following the events of 1954, the Muslim Brotherhood faced severe repression from the Egyptian regime, leading to Nada's arrest in connection with the "Manshiyya" incident. He was released after two years of imprisonment.

Exile and Continued Activism

After his release from prison, Nada faced intense security harassment, including the confiscation of his assets, freezing of his accounts, and severe restrictions on his movements. These pressures forced him to emigrate in 1960 to Libya, where he established a strong relationship with King Idris al-Senussi, who granted him a Libyan passport, facilitating his travel to various global capitals.

Post-9/11 Accusations and Exoneration

Nada did not escape political accusations following the September 11, 2001 attacks. He was accused by then U.S. President George W. Bush of financing the attacks and supporting terrorism, leading to the freezing of his financial assets and placing him under house arrest in Switzerland.

Numerous intelligence agencies in Switzerland, Italy, and the United States investigated him, but he was exonerated after no evidence was found to incriminate him. In 2009, the United Nations Security Council removed Nada's name from the list of terrorism supporters at the request of the Swiss government.

A British MP: London's support for the Zionist aggression could expose it to international courts.

The Prime Minister of Spain: Ending the "Israeli" occupation is a fundamental step towards empowering the Palestinian people to establish their independent state.

As the 443rd day of the operation "Tsunami of Al-Aqsa" begins, the occupation forces continue to escalate their aggression against the Gaza Strip, leaving behind massacres against civilians, amid ongoing clashes between the Palestinian resistance and the occupation forces across several fronts.

The occupation targets Kamal Adwan Hospital

The Israeli occupation forces demanded the evacuation of Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza and proceeded to bomb it and fire upon its facilities, jeopardizing the lives of patients, their companions, and medical staff. The Ministry of Health in Gaza confirmed that the occupation ordered the immediate evacuation of the hospital, while a correspondent for "Al Jazeera" reported a loss of communication with journalists inside.

"Al Jazeera" mentioned that it obtained footage showing a crowd of wounded women and children in the corridors of the hospital after all its sections were targeted by gunfire and shelling. The hospital's director, Dr. Hossam Abu Safiya, stated that the bombing targeted the hospital directly, holding the international community responsible for what is happening.

Gaza government: The occupation's threats to Kamal Adwan Hospital are a systematic crime to destroy the health sector

The government media office in Gaza condemned in the strongest terms the repeated Israeli threats against Kamal Adwan Hospital, considering them a part of a systematic plan to destroy the health sector. The office called in a statement for the World Health Organization to send an urgent field delegation to investigate the perpetrated crimes and ensure the protection of health facilities and medical teams.

It also urged the international community to take immediate action to stop these crimes. The occupation “Israeli” and the countries supporting it, such as the United States, Britain, Germany, and France, bear full responsibility for the continuation of genocide in the sector.

Hebrew newspaper: Jabalia has become a ghost town

The Hebrew newspaper "Haaretz" revealed that the occupation has destroyed about 70% of the buildings in the Jabalia camp since the start of its military operations there on October 5, 2024. It indicated that what remains of the buildings has suffered severe damage, turning the camp into a "ghost town." The newspaper explained that the destruction is part of the "generals' plan," which aims to displace the Palestinian population from the north of the Gaza Strip to its south, reaching the Martyrs' Crossroads in the city of Gaza.

Qualitative Operations by Al-Qassam in Northern Gaza

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), announced today, Sunday, the implementation of several qualitative operations against the occupation forces in northern Gaza. The most notable operations include:

- Targeting three Israeli troop carriers: the first with an explosive device in the Al-‘Alami area in the middle of the Jabalia camp, the second west of Beit Lahiya, and the third west of Beit Hanoun.

- Bombarding an entrenched Israeli force using an “TBG” shell, resulting in fatalities and injuries west of Jabalia.

- Sniping an Israeli officer on Abu al-Ayash Street in the middle of Jabalia.

British MP: London's Support for the Israeli Aggression Puts It Before International Courts

British MP Mohammed Iqbal, a member of the "Independent Alliance" supporting Gaza, expressed his concerns about his country's potential summons to international courts due to its support for Israeli aggression.

Iqbal questioned during an interview with the Anadolu Agency: "How many deaths must there be for the British government to stop its direct and indirect support for Israel, which is committing war crimes?" He emphasized that what is happening constitutes genocide against the Palestinians.

He called on the British government to move beyond empty rhetoric and take serious actions, such as completely halting arms exports to the occupation, stressing the need to end complicity in crimes committed against civilians.

Spanish PM Calls for Recognition of the State of Palestine

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez urged the international community to recognize the State of Palestine and grant it full membership in the United Nations, asserting the necessity of ending the "Israeli" occupation and achieving justice for the Palestinian people.

Sánchez made these statements during his participation in the International Socialist Conference held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, from Friday to Sunday, according to the "Palestinian Information Center."

In his speech, Sánchez highlighted "the importance of working to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East," stressing the need for "international efforts to address the escalating crises in many parts of the world, especially in Palestine."

He also affirmed that ending the "Israeli" occupation is a fundamental step towards empowering the Palestinian people to establish their independent state, adding: "We must put an end to the suffering of the Palestinians and eliminate the siege and restrictions that affect their daily lives."

"And Remind Them of the Days of Allah"

This reminder is a lesson, a reflection, and a source of experience, deserving of remembrance and specialization, and a reminder for the nation in the world. The matter concerns the nation, as it is among the blessed days of Allah. Thus, I address the topic of "stabilizing events in the system of change." Dr. Hamid Rabi' used to say: History is a laboratory of experiments, and therefore, historical and spatial experiences can be utilized to create nurseries for reform.

 The Context of Syria

What happened in Syria is not a product of the moment. There were reform laboratories and nurseries in Idlib and Aleppo. These laboratories and nurseries (liberated areas) form a foundation and a beginning for wide-ranging and significant reform, not only in Syria but across the entire nation, despite the state boundaries and nationalism that have turned borders into restrictions on the nation's movement and effectiveness. These borders have transformed their leaders and owners into roles of detriment and devoid of benefits and fruits.

 Strategic Mobilization

Here, I draw attention to an important issue: When can we organize those pages of the Days of Allah and their decisive, revealing events in the book of the coming strategic mobilization? We move from one state to another within the laws of change. Joy should be employed as an expression of broad hope, according to Al-Mawardi: The world is only rectified by six things, concluding with broad hope. Broad hope may come at a specific point, place, and time, but we must make it broad, wide, influential, impactful, real, and elevating.

Recognizing Events

There are fundamental prerequisites to viewing the event internally and externally: Tyranny and occupation are one creed; aggression was in "the flood of Al-Aqsa" (the usurping occupying enemy), and thus tyranny and despotism stem from aggression and vice versa.

Transitional Phase

The concept of the transitional phase emerged in psychology, associated with the phase between childhood and maturity, known as adolescence. Adolescence is called a transitional phase because it transitions from childhood to maturity. This concept was also introduced in economic literature when discussing stages of growth, with a transitional phase between growth stages. This concept found its way into sociological literature—especially Western—where it was called "the transitional society," referring to the shift from traditional or underdeveloped states to modernity.

Democratic Transition

Political development and political systems science also include the concept of "democratic transition." The process of democratic transition is linked to the process of transition. Hence, we are faced with extensive literature and a concept that travels from one field to another. In political science, the concept takes two forms: the customary form related to transitional phases in the shape of elections and political transformation, and the form after revolutions.

Managing Transition

We must understand the contexts to grasp the nature of the transitional phase, its stages, and its objectives. Managing the transition and the necessary awareness after the first liberation battle, represented by toppling the tyrant, is a significant ongoing effort to eliminate the tyrant's system and regime, along with the challenges, crises, and entanglements it left behind. This underscores the necessity of establishing a strategy for managing transitional phases, building on existing structures and plans, creating and establishing what is missing, and achieving the desired near and mid-term objectives. This involves challenges such as initiation, survival, construction, performance, growth, advancement, completion, and effective movement in achievement and impact.

Strategic Management

There must be strategic tools for change management, primarily a "strategic consultative mind" in managing and organizing change. The transition is not a singular matter; it encompasses political, economic, social, security, military, societal, and constitutional transitions to formulate a minimum agreement and build a new social contract. Institutionally, it includes judicial, security, and other institutions that must be placed on the change agenda.

Moving Beyond the Moment

In the study of the science of transition and the management of its stages, it is essential to move beyond the snapshot of the moment to the true objective, in speech, action, and movement. Defining transitional phases as managing exceptions, which are fundamentally different from stability phases, is crucial. The transitional period can last five years or slightly more.

Differentiating Push and Impulse

Managing the transitional phase requires differentiating between push and impulse; confusion between the two could lead to lost opportunities. Why? Because the first requirement is to map the Syrian reality, as well as the regional and international reality. Understanding the contexts, their intersections, and interactions is essential. However, the primary challenge is that this reality must be urgently and quickly raised, and these maps must be drawn within a few days due to their pressing need. These maps must rely on accurate and sufficient information, allowing decision-makers to understand the ground they move on accurately and genuinely.

Avoiding Western Prescriptions

Equally important is avoiding Western prescriptions in transitional phases. The Syrian revolution must steer clear of solutions like elections and constitutions. Political representation does not have to be limited to elections; it can be managed in various ways and methods. It is possible to address this using recognized scientific approaches, especially after mapping the different realities.

Birth of Three Revolutions

Three revolutions are born with the protest actions forming the revolutionary act: the first seeks change, the second stirs anti-revolutionaries, and the third is a revolution of expectations. Every change or revolution has a promise, and it is crucial to have a clear promise for the people, not overwhelmed by rosy images or smothered by economic conditions. It must not fall into oblivion and become a forgotten relic.

Creating Awareness

Balancing revolutionary actions between the three approaches related to revolutions is necessary in the transitional stages. This is where the emphasis on creating awareness comes in; it is a significant endeavor aimed at forming a new culture and collective consciousness. This requires real institutions to disseminate change ideas and systems, seize and capitalize on these events. It should be an opportunity not to be wasted or killed by neglect or impulsiveness. The current push should seek to draw lessons from the Syrian model that may add value in this regard.

Defining the Syrian Model

To build this Syrian model, we need to identify the knowledge model that represents our reference. Each component provides vision, awareness, and pursuit, understanding the contexts and interactions, whether international, regional, local, or internal, through mapping: strength and effectiveness, capabilities and possibilities, tools for creating status and empowerment, and building strategies and tools around guaranteed pursuit and secure awareness. These include the desired discourse strategy, the strategic collective mind, the required liberation, and the promised livelihood for the people and the public.

  Comprehensive Contexts

All of this must be in comprehensive contexts, ensuring and safeguarding the revolution and its people and continuity against change thieves, the most dangerous group the revolutionaries may encounter. The popular support base must be preserved and invested in.

Policies of tyranny and despotism have severely affected the weak in Syria and the nation; the weak are the leaders of the convoy and must not be forgotten. The completeness of change must be proportionate and inclusive of the people, with the people, and for the people. Polarization kills change and, with its outbreak and the inability to organize and manage it, becomes the graveyard of revolutions.

On the 442nd day of the Israeli aggression on Gaza, the Israeli army continues to commit massacres against Palestinians and target residential buildings, resulting in an increase in the death toll and injuries amidst a worsening humanitarian catastrophe due to the imposed siege on the strip.

A statement from the Civil Defense confirmed that the occupation forces are preventing the retrieval of the bodies of martyrs throughout the Gaza Strip.

Reporters reported today, Saturday, that 7 Palestinians were martyred and others were injured due to an Israeli strike that targeted an internet point in the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City.

Additionally, several civilians were injured as a result of the occupation aircraft bombing a house near the Al-Talebin School on Al-Nafaq Street in the middle of Gaza City.

Later, our reporter indicated that two martyrs fell and another Palestinian was seriously injured due to an Israeli strike that targeted a gathering around Baghdad Mosque in the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City.

Destruction of residential buildings

In the southern sector, our reporter stated that Civil Defense teams retrieved a martyr following an Israeli drone strike on Kherbat Al-Adas, northeast of the city of Rafah.

The reporter clarified that the Israeli occupation forces demolished residential buildings in the Al-Jnaina neighborhood, east of Rafah, while helicopters fired at civilians.

In the central sector, gunfire from occupation aircraft targeted the area west of Al-Nuseirat. The occupation's machinery also fired upon civilians north of Nuseirat Camp, and the area north of Al-Bureij Camp in the central Gaza Strip was subjected to artillery shelling.

Massacre in northern Gaza

This came after hours of Civil Defense teams retrieving 10 martyrs, including 7 children and a woman, due to Israeli shelling on a house belonging to the "Khalla" family, last night in the Jabalia area in northern Gaza Strip.

Our reporter mentioned that northern Gaza Strip areas have been continuously shelled amid a tight blockade that has lasted for nearly 80 consecutive days, resulting in the martyrdom of more than 5,000 Palestinians, in addition to thousands of injured.

Occupation prevents the retrieval of bodies

Meanwhile, the Civil Defense in Gaza stated today, Saturday, that the Israeli occupation continues to "kill citizens" in the strip and "leaves their bodies in the streets for stray dogs to devour, preventing their retrieval in clear violation of international law."

It clarified in a statement that the occupation army prevents Civil Defense teams and medical teams from reaching the bodies of martyrs in every area they infiltrate, claiming that these are "dangerous combat zones" and directly fires upon the teams whenever they approach those areas.

The Civil Defense confirmed that these measures taken by the Israeli occupation are "inconsistent with heavenly laws as well as international and humanitarian laws."

The statement indicated that Civil Defense teams found the bodies of martyrs to be nothing but "skeletons," and in other cases witnessed dogs devouring other bodies, in areas such as the Zaytoun neighborhood, Shuja'iyya, Tal Al-Hawa, Jabalia, Tal Al-Zaatar, Beit Hanoun, and in some eastern areas of Khan Younis and Rafah.

According to the Civil Defense, the occupation also prohibits access to the bodies of thousands of martyrs "after they have decayed under the rubble of the buildings that were destroyed above their residents," and has destroyed all heavy digging equipment and machinery.

With the Israeli occupation forces continuing their aggression against the strip, by land, sea, and air, since October 7, 2023, this has resulted in the martyrdom of 45,206 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 107,512 others, according to the Ministry of Health in Gaza.

This comes while thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, and rescue and emergency teams are unable to reach them.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against the Gaza Strip for the 441st consecutive day, through dozens of airstrikes and artillery shelling, committing massacres against civilians, amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the siege and the displacement of more than 95% of the population.

Occupation forces targeted the gate of "Kamal-Adwan" hospital in the northern Gaza Strip with an artillery shell, while the death toll has risen to 45,206, in addition to 107,512 injured.

The toll from the Israeli war on Gaza has reached 45,206 martyrs and 107,512 injured since October 7, 2023, according to what the Ministry of Health in the Strip announced today, Friday.
