A medical source at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital reported the death of a mother, her husband and her two children, and the injury of a number of others. As a result of Israeli warplanes bombing the home of the Al-Adini family in the Al-Barakah area in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.
Targeting Al-Mawasi area
Three Palestinians were also killed and others were injured in an Israeli drone strike on a civilian vehicle northwest of the city of Khan Yunis (south), according to Palestinian paramedics. Meanwhile, a Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli strike that targeted the Al-Mawasi area, which houses displaced people west of the city of Rafah. Intensified artillery shelling
The Israeli occupation army intensified its violent artillery shelling of the neighborhoods of Tal al-Hawa, al-Sabra and al-Zeitoun south of Gaza City, while its vehicles fired heavy machine guns around the university college and Street 8 to the south, according to a local source.
Eyewitnesses said that the army vehicles fired artillery shells north of al-Bureij camp in the central Gaza Strip, coinciding with heavy gunfire, adding that the Israeli artillery fired illumination bombs east of al-Maghazi camp, coinciding with heavy gunfire from military vehicles west of al-Nuseirat camp.
Blowing up residential buildings
Violent explosions were heard north of the central governorate, resulting from the Israeli occupation army blowing up residential buildings and squares that had been evacuated of residents, while Israeli gunboats fired their shells towards the shores of Khan Yunis, while they fired towards Ezbet al-Bahr west of Rafah. The occupation army bombed another school housing displaced persons in Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, hours after bombing Umm al-Fahm school, which houses displaced persons in the al-Sultan neighborhood in the same area.
A similar Israeli bombing targeted a house in the Saftawi area in northern Gaza on Sunday, also resulting in deaths and injuries, while 6 Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted a house in the Nuseirat camp in the middle of the Strip on Sunday.
In a new toll announced on Sunday, the Ministry of Health in Gaza said that the death toll from the aggression that has been ongoing for about a year has risen to 41,595 martyrs and 96,251 injured.
UN warning
Meanwhile, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said on Sunday that the health and living conditions in the Gaza Strip are "inhumane."
The agency stated via the social media platform "X" that "mountains of waste are accumulating in the central areas of Gaza, while sewage is leaking into the streets."
It added: "Families have no choice but to live next to this accumulated waste, exposing them to foul odors and the risk of an imminent health disaster," calling for an immediate ceasefire.
American support
With American support, Israel has been waging a devastating war on Gaza since October 7, ignoring the UN Security Council resolution to stop it immediately, and the International Court of Justice’s orders to take measures to prevent acts of genocide and to improve the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza.
