Day 209 of the Israeli Genocide War on Gaza

The Israeli genocidal war has entered its 209th day, as the Zionist occupation forces continue to commit a genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, by launching dozens of air strikes, artillery shelling, and bloody massacres against civilians.

3 Massacres in 24 Hours.

The "Israeli" occupation continues to bomb different areas of the Strip, committing acts of aggression against Gaza that resulted in the deaths and injuries of numerous civilians.

According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, during the previous day, the occupation forces carried out three massacres against families in the Strip, which left 28 citizens dead and 51 injured.

As a result, it declared that since October 7 of last year, the death toll from Zionist aggression had increased to 34,596 martyrs and 77,816 injuries.

Occupation Holds Bodies of 500 Martyrs.

The bodies of 500 martyrs, including the remains of 58 martyrs, have been detained by the occupation authorities in cemeteries and refrigerators since the start of this year 2024, according to the "National Campaign to Recover the Detained Bodies of Martyrs and Reveal the Fate of the Missing."

In a statement, the campaign stated: "As the occupying state's judiciary is virtually closed off to the relatives of the martyrs, keeping the bodies of Palestinian martyrs in cemeteries and refrigerators is a violation of the principles of international humanitarian law and pertinent international norms."

Since there is no information on the quantity or outcome of the martyrs held in the Gaza Strip, their numbers are not included in this statistic.

Demonstrations in Tel Aviv

The families of the Zionist prisoners continue to demand that the occupation government reach a prisoner exchange deal with the Hamas movement.

Today, Thursday, the families closed the main Ayalon Street in Tel Aviv, demanding an exchange deal.

Yesterday, Wednesday, families demonstrated in front of the residence of US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken in Tel Aviv, threatening to escalate their protest, according to what the “Russia Today” website reported.

The families stressed that if the government fails to reach a prisoner exchange deal, this will be due to political considerations.

Colombia Severs Diplomatic Ties with Israel

In a bold move, Colombia announced the severing of its diplomatic relations with “Israel” starting today, Thursday, due to the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip.

Colombian President Gustavo Petro attributed the decision to sever relations to the presence of a government and president in “Israel” who practiced genocide, explaining, “the era of genocide and the annihilation of a people before our eyes cannot return,” adding: “If Palestine dies, humanity dies.”

The Palestinian presidency welcomed Colombia’s decision, and said in a statement: The noble positions taken by friendly Colombia, its government and people, constitute an example for the world to follow in order to bind the “Israeli” occupation authorities to the resolutions of international legitimacy, according to the Palestinian News Agency (Wafa).

For its part, the Islamic Resistance Movement “Hamas” appreciated the position of Colombian President Gustavo Petro, considering this position “a victory for the sacrifices of our people and their just cause.”

In this regard, the movement called on the countries of South America and all countries to “completely sever their diplomatic relations with the rogue fascist entity that continues its crimes against our people, and flouts all international laws and norms.”
