Hamas Leader Haniyeh's Statement

The head of the political bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, announced that the movement is getting closer to reaching a truce agreement with Israel. This comes after Israel has been attacking the Gaza Strip for 46 days, causing the loss of many lives.

Response Delivered to Qatar

Haniyeh mentioned that Hamas has already delivered its response to Qatar and the mediators involved in the negotiations. They are now in the final stages of reaching an agreement.

Details to be Revealed Soon

Hamas leader Izzat al-Rishq stated that the specific details of the agreement will be announced in the coming hours by the Qatari officials. He also mentioned that Israel has been delaying the completion of the armistice agreement, but Hamas remains committed to resisting their aggression.

Prisoner Exchange

Al-Rishq revealed that the release of Israeli prisoners will be matched by the release of Palestinian prisoners from Israeli jails. He emphasized that any agreement reached must meet the demands of the resistance and be acceptable to Hamas.

Imminent Agreement

Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman Al Thani stated that an agreement on the exchange deal between Israel and Hamas is expected to happen very soon.

Israeli Government's Approval

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that Benjamin Netanyahu's government has given the green light to the agreement with Hamas and is now waiting for their response.

Crucial Hours

Roi Sharon, a military affairs analyst, mentioned that the current hours are crucial. Hamas has proposed conditions to Israel, and Israel has shown willingness to accept them. Now, it is up to Hamas to respond positively and show responsibility.

Ceasefire and Resumption of Military Operations

The deal includes a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip for 5 days. After that, Israel will resume its military operations inside the Strip.

Contrasting Views

During a meeting with representatives of families of detainees in the Gaza Strip, it was evident that there are differing views within the War Council. Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yoav Galant prioritize eliminating Hamas, while opposition leader Benny Gantz and former Chief of Staff Gadi Eisenkot consider the issue of returning detainees important.

US President's Statement

US President Joe Biden expressed his belief that an agreement to release some prisoners held by Hamas in Gaza will be reached soon, although he did not provide further details.
