What the Satellite Images Showed
Some cool satellite images from Al Jazeera showed that on November 8, there were fewer Israeli tanks and military vehicles in Gaza compared to earlier in the month. On November 3, there were 383 vehicles, but on November 8, there were only 295. That means 88 vehicles went missing!
What a Military Expert Says
A military expert named Major General Fayez Al-Duwairi thinks he knows what happened to those missing vehicles. He says it's unlikely that they were just taken away because that wouldn't make sense. Instead, he believes they were destroyed, disabled, or removed from service.
Confirmation from Al-Qassam Brigades
Al-Duwairi also mentioned that the military spokesman for the Al-Qassam Brigades, which is the military wing of Hamas, said that they destroyed 136 Israeli vehicles and tanks. Although this happened in different areas, it adds credibility to Al-Duwairi's theory.
Types of Israeli Military Vehicles
Al-Duwairi explained that there are three types of Israeli military vehicles that go into Gaza. There's the Merkava tank, which can carry up to 10 people. Then there's the Tiger armored carrier, which can carry 11 people. And finally, there's the bulldozer, which can carry two people. On average, each vehicle has about 5 people inside, and they were all targeted.
What's Happening on the Ground
Al-Duwairi said that the entire Gaza Strip is under fire, and there's no safe place. The northern part is where most of the ground operations are happening, while the south is being bombed from the air. He also mentioned that there haven't been any major changes in the last couple of days, and clashes are still ongoing.
The Importance of Al-Shifa Medical Complex
Al-Duwairi thinks that the Al-Shifa Medical Complex is really important because it shows the world the crimes committed by the Israeli war machine. He believes that the Israeli army wants to silence the hospital and reach it to cover up their actions.
Israeli Army's Propaganda
Al-Duwairi expects that the Israeli army might try to do some sneaky things to improve their image. They might give water bottles to civilians or carry wounded Palestinians and take pictures to make themselves look better. But he thinks their reputation is already pretty bad.
