Protests for Peace
Last week, people in many European cities came together to show their support for the Palestinian people and to demand an end to the war in Gaza. They want the Israeli occupation to stop and for the violence to end.
Events across Europe
Activists organized different events to call on their governments to stop supporting and arming Israel. They also wanted their governments to protect the civilians in Gaza. Unfortunately, in London, the police arrested some of the demonstrators.
The Devastating War
The war in Gaza has been going on for almost a month now. It has caused the deaths of over 9,200 people, mostly women and children. Entire families have been wiped out, and many neighborhoods in Gaza have been destroyed.

Holland
In Rotterdam, protesters closed the train station to show their anger towards the Dutch government's support for Israel's actions in Gaza.
Britain
In London, the police arrested some demonstrators who laid down on the ground at Kings Cross train station. They were demanding a ceasefire and criticizing the government's pro-Israel stance.
Austria
In Vienna, people gathered to show their solidarity with Gaza. They raised Palestinian flags and held banners condemning the Israeli war.
Germany
In Frankfurt, a demonstration took place to denounce the Israeli war on Gaza. The protesters held up signs demanding an end to the killing of innocent children and women.
Spain
In Alicante, a march was organized to demand an end to the war in Gaza. Speeches were made to express support for the Palestinian people and to condemn the massacres they are facing.
Sweden
In Malmö, a solidarity rally was held to demand an end to the Israeli war. Participants lit candles in the shape of the word "Gaza" and raised Palestinian flags. A similar rally took place in Helsingborg, where candles were lit and coffins symbolizing the Gaza martyrs were displayed.
Denmark
In Copenhagen, several demonstrations and marches were held in one day to demand an end to the massacres in Gaza. Participants raised Palestinian flags and called for an end to the Israeli occupation. In Filey, a march was organized to denounce the Israeli war, and coffins symbolizing the Gaza martyrs were carried.
Voices from Denmark
Politiken, one of Denmark's largest newspapers, published an article signed by 1,025 Danes of Palestinian origins. The article, titled "We are reliving the tragedy of our ancestors," called for the freedom of the Palestinian people and an end to the aggression in Gaza. The signatories criticized the double standards of the West, its bias towards the occupying state, and the suppression of Palestinian content on social media. They also denounced the restrictions faced by those who expose the crimes of the occupation in their daily lives and work.
