On Tuesday morning, at the Imam Shafi'i Mosque in the city of Gaza, the largest Quran recitation event took place, with 1,471 memorizers of the Quran reciting it from memory in a single session, as part of the "The Best of the Memorizers" project in its second round.

The "The Best of the Memorizers" project is a day for Quran memorizers, where they recite the entire Quran from memory in a single session. They make a covenant with God to memorize the Quran and keep it in their hearts, and they show the world the blessed image of Gaza. They also transmit this experience to the whole world, to promote the culture of mastering the Quran, making a covenant with it, and keeping it in place, locally and globally.

The Dar Al-Quran Al-Karim and Sunnah in Palestine, through its page on Twitter, said: In the name of God, and by the blessing of God we begin. The lamps of light are launched to gather in the largest Quranic phenomenon known to history.

Activists on Twitter interacted with the largest Quranic event in Gaza, pointing out that among the memorizers there are 51 engineers, 90 doctors and nurses, 163 teachers and educators, 34 security men and police officers, and 26 people with disabilities.
The Palestinian activist Adham Abu Salma said: This is our annual pride as part of a project that aims to bring the Quran to every Palestinian home, adding that the event enjoys great public attention and interest, and families compete to compete in presenting the best of their children.

The Islamic preacher Wael Al-Zard wrote on his page: And the hordes of truth, power and freedom set off, convoys of Quran memorizers lead the places of reciting the entire Quran in a single session, so honor them and bless them.

Generation of liberation

Moamen Abu Zaiter said: In Gaza you will find the best of the memorizers, the best of the jihadists, the best of the patient, and many, many.

Abu Zaiter added: The "The Best of the Memorizers" projects for Quran memorizers continue, reaching the best of the best, God willing, in all fields that fix the society and elevate it with the blessing of its sincere children.

Yasmin Abdullah wrote: With the Quran and by all means, Gaza leads the project of liberation and return that it seeks, and this Quranic generation is among those that Gaza is preparing to participate in the liberation, as the leader Salah al-Din al-Ayubi did when he established a Quranic generation for liberation.

And Amira Sharab commented: An unusual event; in an unusual spot, perhaps there are historical and natural phenomena, but this.. is an exceptional Islamic Quranic phenomenon that is worth waiting for and following.

In August 2022, the Dar Al-Quran Al-Karim and Sunnah in Palestine launched the "The Best of the Memorizers" project, the first of its kind, to recite the Quran from memory in a single session, with the participation of 581 memorizers.
