A New Government in Kuwait
In Kuwait, they just formed a new government with a bunch of new ministers. This is the first government under the new Emir, Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The ministers took an oath in front of the Emir.
One of the big things about this new government is that they chose a foreign minister from outside the ruling family for the first time. His name is Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Yahya. They also picked other ministers for different important positions like defense, oil, health, and more. It's like putting together a dream team!
But here's the interesting part: only four ministers from the previous government made it into this new one. The rest are all new faces. It's like a fresh start for Kuwait!
South Africa's Support for Palestine
A group of Kuwaiti politicians and organizations went to the South African Embassy in Kuwait to say thank you. Why? Because South Africa has been supporting the Palestinian cause. They even stood up for Palestine in the International Court of Justice. That's pretty awesome!
The head of one of the political groups in Kuwait said that South Africa is all about peace and human rights. They thanked the South African Ambassador, Dr. Manelse Genji, for being a bridge between the two countries and making their relationship stronger.
South Africa is really good at defending human rights and fighting for justice. They're especially passionate about the conflict between Palestine and Israel. They believe in standing up against occupation and supporting the Palestinian people. It's like they're superheroes fighting for what's right!
The Kuwaiti politician hopes that other countries will follow South Africa's lead and work towards justice and peace. They want everyone to put pressure on the bad stuff happening in the world and make positive changes. It's all about working together for a better future!
The "Promoting Values and Addressing Negative Phenomena" Committee
Okay, now let's switch gears and talk about a committee in Kuwait. This committee is all about promoting good values and stopping bad things from happening. They recently had a discussion about a problem in health clubs.
Some people in Kuwait have been complaining about a lack of respect for morals and public taste in these health clubs. The committee wanted to address these complaints and find a solution.
The head of the committee, MP Muhammad Haif, talked about how they invited representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and the Municipality to talk about the issue. They want to make sure that the laws and regulations are being followed in these places.
The laws in Kuwait say that stores and places like health clubs should follow Islamic Sharia law. They can't do things that go against the religion, and they can't show or promote things that are forbidden. The committee wants to make sure these rules are being enforced.
But the committee's work doesn't stop there. They also tackle other important issues like bribery, cheating in exams, and more. They want to make Kuwait a better place for everyone.
The head of the committee praised the people who report bad behavior and the employees who enforce the laws. They're all working together to make sure Kuwait stays a great place with good values.
Girls and Sports
In Kuwait, it is believed that when girls practice sports in clubs or mixed places, it can lead to them showing off their bodies in inappropriate ways. This is because they can't wear their traditional Islamic robes while doing these exercises.
Sheikh Othman Al-Khamis, a religious leader, strongly believes that women should not mix with men in sports clubs. He has even seen cases where women travel with men on trips. The Sheikh advises everyone to fear God and follow Islamic principles, which means avoiding this kind of mixing.
The Sheikh also mentioned that weightlifting is not considered a sport for women. Wearing revealing and tight clothing that shows off the body is not acceptable according to Islamic values and morals.
Condemning the Aggression
After 100 days of the war in Gaza, political and civil forces in Kuwait are speaking out against the aggression.
A statement was issued by these forces on the 100th anniversary of the "Al-Aqsa Flood" battle and the war in Gaza. They held a solidarity event in Al-Irada Square, where many people from the community, as well as politicians and activists, came together to support the people of Gaza.
The forces stated, "It has been 100 days since the heroic Al-Aqsa Flood operation, which was a strong act of resistance against the Zionist military. It gave hope to Palestinians, Arabs, and people around the world that the Zionists can be defeated and the occupation can end."
The statement also mentioned the aggression and genocidal war that the Palestinians in Gaza have faced for 100 days. The occupation army and settlers have been carrying out nightly arrests and brutal repression against Palestinians in the West Bank.
The Kuwaiti forces expressed their disappointment with the international community and Arab regimes for not doing enough to stop the Zionist aggression. They highlighted the suffering of the Palestinians, with thousands of deaths, injuries, and displacements, as well as the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
