The Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, has passed away. The state television in Kuwait announced this on Saturday. He had been sick and was in the hospital since last month.
The TV broadcast was cut off early in the morning and they played a recitation from the Holy Quran. Then, an official statement confirmed the passing of the Emir. He became the Emir in 2020.

A Brief History of Prince Nawaf

Early Life and Education

Sheikh Mishal received his education at Mubarakiya School in Kuwait City and later studied in the United Kingdom, where he graduated from the Hendon Police College in 1960.
Career and Contributions
After returning to Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal joined the Ministry of the Interior and held various administrative positions for about 20 years. He played a significant role in developing the ministry and transforming it into the State Security Administration.
In 2004, Sheikh Mishal was appointed as the Deputy Chief of the National Guard, where he contributed to enhancing its role and status. He has always emphasized the importance of supporting the army and police forces in defending Kuwait and maintaining security and stability.
