A Palestinian teacher in Kuwait whose entire family was martyred in the Zionist aggression on Gaza
In Kuwait, a Palestinian teacher received devastating news about the martyrdom of her entire family in the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip. Areej Qanen, a teacher at Al-Tahira Bint Al-Harith Secondary School, shared on her Facebook page that her parents and five children, aged between 3 and 12 years old, were among the victims.
Despite this tragedy, Areej remains strong in her faith. She said, "Praise be to God before and after. To God is what He gives and to God is what He takes, and everything has a measure with Him. Oh God, I entrust my family to you, so accept them in the highest heavens. We consider them to be among the martyrs before God, and we do not praise anyone before God."
Areej also expressed her love and admiration for her family members. She described her father, Professor Muhammad Issa Muhammad Qanan (Abu Issa), as the crown of her head and her honor. Her mother, Professor Zahidah Mahmoud Darwish Qanan (Umm Issa), was the pulse of her life and her companion on her path. She mourned the loss of her sister, Wissal Muhammad Issa Qanan, and her brother, engineer Mahmoud Muhammad Issa Qanan (Abu Jihad), along with his wife Khitam Abu Odeh and their five children.
Areej expressed her gratitude to the government and people of Kuwait for their support and solidarity with the Palestinian cause. She also thanked her school, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Education, and the Palestinian Embassy in Kuwait for their assistance during this difficult time.
