High turnout for coronavirus vaccination in Kuwait during holiday Featured

The anti-coronavirus vaccination witnessed a high turnout from both citizens and expats during the Hijri Year holidays in all centers across the country, Ministry of Health’s spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said on Monday.

The continuation of the vaccination pace has positive impacts on the indicators of the pandemic situation evaluation, he told KUNA in a press statement. This helps approach achieving the desired goals in order to reach herd immunity to return to normal life, he added.

Among the centers providing vaccination was the Kuwait center at the Mishref area, Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Causeway center, and others in Jleep Shuwaikh, in addition to several hospitals, he noted. He commended the cooperation between citizens and expats and their continued abidance by precautionary measures, thanking medical teams and staff, and volunteers for their efforts during the Hijri Year holidays. Earlier in the day, the ministry declared that it makes about 100,000 daily appointments to provide vaccines to people at 101 centers across the country./agencies
