Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan on Tuesday expressed his deep grief over the death of Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Amir of the State of Kuwait.
A statement issued by the Prime Minister’s House expressed deep grief over the death of Amir of Kuwait.
“Deeply grieved over the demise of HH Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the Crown Prince (now Amir), Al Sabah family & to the Kuwaiti people. Amir’s contributions to Pak-Kuwait relations will always be remembered,” said Khan.
Moreover, Pakistan’s speaker of the National Assembly, Asad Qaiser expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Amir of Kuwait.
The Speaker, in a condolence message to the Kuwaiti government and people, said the vacuum created by Amir’s death would not be filled for a long time to come.
While paying tribute to the Kuwaiti Amir for his services for the progress of Kuwait and unity of Muslim Ummah, he said his contribution for economic and social progress of Kuwait, interfaith harmony and peaceful co-existence would always be remembered.
The government, Parliament and people of Pakistan shared the moment of grief of Kuwaiti people and leadership, he added.(KUNA).
