Openly and Audaciously Judaizing Jerusalem
This year (1997) brings significant and prominent memories related to our primary cause, the cause of Jerusalem and Palestine.
This year marks the centennial anniversary of the convening of the First Zionist Congress in Basel, Switzerland, chaired by Herzl in 1897, and the emergence of the global Zionist institution.
It also marks the 80th anniversary of the infamous “Balfour Declaration” in November 1917, which promised the establishment of a national homeland for the Jews in Palestine.
Additionally, it marks the half-century anniversary since the partition resolution of Palestine in 1947, which paved the way to the establishment of “Israel” in 1948.
Furthermore, it signifies the passage of 30 years since the occupation of Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza in 1967, after the well-known Six-Day War in June 1967.
And finally, the 20th anniversary of President Sadat's visit to “Israel” in 1977, which represented the beginning of the disruption in Arab unity towards the Zionist entity.
Now, we are reaping the bitter fruits of these momentous events, with the most bitter being “Israel's” attempt to Judaize the Islamic Arab Jerusalem, following a well-known plan, a predetermined approach, in the presence of more than 250 million Arabs watching silently and backed by over a billion Muslims. This is despite the resolutions of the United Nations and the International Security Council, and with the support and endorsement of the United States.
“Israel” continues its excavations under the Al-Aqsa Mosque and is supposedly constructing a tourist city beneath it. I heard in the mentioned Jerusalem conference from Sheikh Raed Salah, the mayor of Umm Al-Fahm in occupied Palestine and the head of the Islamic Movement there, that he had been allowed to inspect these excavations and saw that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is threatened with imminent collapse.
This confirms what I have repeatedly stated and declared: “Israel” knows when the collapse of the mosque will occur; it has a specific time frame in mind, and it will choose and announce it when Arabs and Muslims are occupied with other concerns, diverting their attention from this grave matter, or rendering their protests ineffective. The world will also be busy with other issues, perhaps orchestrated by “Israel” or the global Zionist agenda.
The Islamic Arab Jerusalem, the city of the sanctities, the land of prophets, the site of the Al-Israa and Mi’raj (Night Journey and Ascension), and the location of the Al-Aqsa Mosque—the blessed site regarded by every Muslim as the core of the heart.
This city is subjected to persistent Judaization and systematic confiscation. The revered Islamic Mosque is under imminent threat, given the continuous excavations underneath and around it. These excavations ultimately aim to demolish it and establish the alleged Jewish Temple on its ruins.
The goal is clear and explicit, and the actions are declared and agreed upon by all Jews, regardless of their religious or secular affiliations, whether from the overtly arrogant Likud party or the maneuvering and elusive Labor party.
Despite this, we continue to run and chase the illusion, seeking a wretched peace that does not grant Palestine statehood, does not return the displaced, and does not restore its Aqsa and capital. Despite this evident oppression and blatant injustice, “Israel” tramples upon its faked peace, and Benjamin Netanyahu kicks it with his feet!
Every time we relinquish our undeniable right, “Israel” insists on a false claim, taking from us whatever it wants day by day, while we receive nothing but alleged promises.
Indeed, “Israel,” under the Likud, has become audacious even in its false promises. Despite being nothing more than illusions, it proudly insists on absolute rejection without fear or shame. The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: “One of the admonitions of the previous Prophets which has been conveyed to people is that if you have no modesty, you can do whatever you like” (agreed upon).
“Israel” arrogantly pursues its interests, strategies, and regional ambitions without hindrance, as it seeks peace on its own terms and according to its expansionist plans. It wants a “Greater Israel” extending from the Euphrates to the Nile, from the cedars to the palm trees! Yet, it may hide or remain silent about these ambitions depending on its policy of stages, a strategy it has mastered over time.
Current global, regional, and local circumstances have aided Israel's arrogance and tyranny that we witness today. These circumstances include Palestinian surrender, Arab helplessness, Islamic weakness, global absence, and the unparalleled bias of the United States.
But can “Israel” guarantee that these conducive circumstances will remain forever? Has it obtained a guarantee from the highest authority that the winds will continue to blow in the direction of its desires?
By observing the natural laws set by Allah in the universe, studying history, and examining the reality of our world, we believe that the world evolves and that the surrounding environment changes, often at an unpredictable pace. This was evident in the collapse of the Soviet Union, the emergence of the European Union, and the rise of new economic powers worldwide. As people have long said, “The only constant is change,” and the Quran expresses this concept in a broader cosmic sense, stating, “And these days [of varying conditions] We alternate among the people” (Al-Imran: 140). This ayah was revealed after the Battle of “Uhud,” where the Muslims suffered setbacks during the prophetic era, losing seventy of their dearest martyrs after their complete victory in the Battle of “Badr.”
