Dr. Khalid Muhammad Bodi, a prominent Kuwaiti economic and banking authority, passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 78. His passing follows decades of academic and professional service that left a lasting imprint on the Kuwaiti economy, Islamic banking, and institutional governance.

Up until his passing, Dr. Bodi served as a member of the Higher Shari'ah Supervision Board at the Central Bank of Kuwait, a post he held since October 2020. He was renowned for bridging academic rigor with practical management, auditing, and banking experience.

·         Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Accounting from the University of Michigan

·         Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Kuwait University

A major milestone in his career was his tenure at Kuwait Finance House (KFH), where he served as Assistant General Manager for the Financial and Administrative Sector, and later as Assistant General Manager for the Financial Sector until 1993.
