Tragic Incident: Al Jazeera Cameraman Martyred
On the 70th day of the Israeli war on Gaza, a heartbreaking incident occurred. Al Jazeera cameraman Samer Abu Daqqa was tragically killed while covering an Israeli bombing that targeted a school in Khan Yunis. His colleague, Wael Al-Dahdouh, was also injured in the attack.
Difficulties in Reaching Medical Help
After being injured, Abu Daqqa was unable to receive immediate medical attention. He remained on the ground near the school for about 6 hours before help could reach him. Al-Dahdouh, who suffered an arm injury, was taken to the Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Yunis for treatment.
Other Casualties
Tragically, three Civil Defense members also lost their lives due to the Israeli bombing that targeted the school.
Israeli Massacres
Israel continued its aggressive attacks on the Gaza Strip, resulting in numerous casualties. The Al-Katiba area in Khan Yunis was targeted, leading to the deaths and injuries of many Palestinians.
Continuous Bombings
Throughout the day, Israeli bombings persisted in Khan Yunis. A school housing displaced people was targeted, resulting in the deaths of 12 Palestinians and injuring many others. Additionally, a house in Khan Yunis was bombed, causing three more fatalities.
Ongoing Attacks
Israel continued its relentless bombings, targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip. Jabalia camp, Deir al-Balah, and the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood were all subjected to Israeli artillery shelling. Medical centers were also forced to evacuate due to the bombings.
Abu Ubaida's Speech
In a speech, Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades, shared updates on their actions. He revealed that within the past five days, they had targeted over 100 Israeli military vehicles. Abu Ubaida emphasized that the numbers of deaths and injuries reported by the Israeli army were inaccurate.
Resistance and Occupation Losses
The Israeli army suffered losses as well. An engineer soldier in the Golani Brigade was killed during battles in the southern Gaza Strip. The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad Movement, targeted Israeli military vehicles and tanks. The Al-Qassam Brigades also successfully targeted an Israeli soldier-occupied building.
West Bank Incidents
In addition to the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the Israeli occupation forces continued their raids and arrests in the West Bank. Several towns, including Urif, Yatta, and Jayyus, were stormed. The occupation forces also confiscated vehicles and demolished homes.
Al-Aqsa Mosque and Friday Prayers
Due to the restrictions imposed by the occupation, many Palestinians were unable to attend Friday prayers at Al-Aqsa Mosque for the tenth consecutive week.
