For the 49th consecutive day, North Gaza continues to suffer under Israeli siege and starvation, amidst intense aerial and artillery bombardment, and complete isolation of the northern governorate from Gaza.

4 massacres in Gaza leave 112 martyrs, including 64 children and women

The Gaza government's media office announced that the occupation army committed 4 brutal massacres in several areas in the Gaza Strip, resulting in 112 martyrs, including 64 children and women, in addition to 22 missing and over 120 injured.

The office stated in a statement today, Thursday, that the massacres took place in the vicinity of Kamal Adwan hospital in north Gaza, as well as in the areas of Abu Iskandar in Gaza governorate, Al-Nusairat refugee camp in the central governorate, and Khan Younis governorate.

The statement confirmed that these massacres come at a sensitive time after the failure of the United Nations Security Council to issue a resolution calling for a ceasefire in the war on Gaza, where the United States used its veto power against the resolution, highlighting its complicity in the war, which is considered genocide against Palestinian civilians in Gaza.

Al-Qassam Brigades: Elimination of 15 Zionist soldiers in Beit Lahia

Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas movement, announced that its fighters managed to eliminate 15 Zionist soldiers during a clash in Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.

International Criminal Court: Arrest warrants issued against Netanyahu and Gantz for war crimes

The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants against the occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gantz for their involvement in "war crimes" and "crimes against humanity" in Gaza.

The court affirmed that there are "reasonable grounds" to believe that Netanyahu and Gantz directly supervised the attacks targeting civilians, including charges of using starvation as a weapon of war, as well as committing murder and persecution crimes, as reported by Al Jazeera website.

"Hamas" welcomes the issuance of International Criminal Court arrest warrants against Netanyahu and Gantz

The Islamic Resistance Movement "Hamas" welcomed the decision of the International Criminal Court, describing it as a "historic step" in holding the occupation accountable for its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people.

The movement stated in a statement that these warrants represent a correction of a long history of injustice towards the Palestinian people, calling for the accountability to include all leaders of the occupation.

Dutch Foreign Minister: We will arrest Netanyahu in implementation of the "International Criminal Court" decision

In another development, Dutch Foreign Minister Casper Fieldcamp announced that the Netherlands will comply with the decision of the International Criminal Court and arrest the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu upon his arrival in the Netherlands, according to the Palestinian news agency.

Fieldcamp confirmed his country's respect for the court's decision, and clarified that the Netherlands will not make any unnecessary contact with Netanyahu after the arrest warrant is issued.

Borrell: International Criminal Court decision binding on all member states

On the other hand, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, affirmed in a statement that the International Criminal Court decision to arrest Netanyahu and Gantz is "binding" on all member states of the court, calling for the decision to be implemented without any leniency.

Borrell emphasized that the implementation of the decision must be at the level of all member states.

Australia denies former Israeli minister entry to the country

In another international reaction, Australian authorities announced that they refused to grant a visa to former Israeli minister Ayelet Shaked to participate in a conference in Australia.

Hebrew reports mentioned that the visa rejection was due to concerns that Shaked might "incite discord."

Australian law prohibits entry to individuals who stir up conflicts or incite violence in Australian society.

The Bear Brigade, a semi-military Russian unit, was first deployed in West Africa to support local councils and expand Russia's geopolitical influence. Following the decline of the Wagner Group, the Bear Brigade aligns with Moscow's goal to exert influence in Africa while addressing gaps left by Western countries, especially France. The Brigade functions as a more formal unit under Russian military supervision, focusing on securing regimes that have severed ties with their Western allies.

The formation and structure of the Bear Brigade include former combatants from the conflict in Ukraine and former special forces operatives, reflecting the Brigade's distinguished military experience. The operations of the Bear Brigade in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger focus on securing regimes that have severed ties with their Western allies and acting as a force multiplier for local armies and contributing to counter-insurgency efforts.

One of the key roles of the Bear Brigade in Africa is protecting military council leaders, such as Captain Ibrahim Traore of Burkina Faso, by securing political figures. By securing political figures, the Brigade works to stabilize Moscow-aligned regimes and enhance Russian influence in the region. Although their direct combat involvement has been limited compared to Wagner, the Bear Brigade assists in training local forces and securing strategic sites. The Brigade is known for its harsh tactics, often criticized for exacerbating violence rather than alleviating it.

Russia has effectively utilized the Bear Brigade to capitalize on anti-colonial sentiments, positioning Russia as a preferred security and military aid partner in Africa.

Russia's Wagner Group military additionally has been present in various parts of Africa as well as Syria and Central African Republic which has raised serious concerns of violation of Human Rights. These acts, which include the use of violence to target civilian populations of war who are believed to support any of the rebel group, have brought accusations of war crimes against the group.

It should be noted that the presence of Wagner Group in Africa has prospects of geopolitical and security interests including changing of the power structures in Africa, getting diplomatic tensions, and risking the general order in the region.

Additionally, Analysts have argued that their intervention has increased the conflict rate in Mali and Burkina Faso and can further fuel dissatisfaction in the rebel factions causing recruitment into violent extremist groups. Russia’s furthering its relations in Africa through military assistance on the other hand may weaken the economic sovereignty of Africa through gaining access to the natural resources of the content.

Overall, the Wagner Group's presence has significant implications for the stability and security of African nations.

The Wagner Group and the Wagner Group are both entities that promote Russian interests abroad, but they differ in structure, leadership, and approach. The Wagner Group, founded as a semi-independent private entity under Yevgeny Prigozhin's leadership, aligns with Russian goals but is a shift towards explicit state control. Operationally, the Wagner Group emphasizes economic gains, often securing mineral and resource privileges in exchange for protection, as seen in the Central African Republic. However, it prioritizes political stability for Russia-friendly regimes, such as supporting the military council in Burkina Faso and Mali.

The state-backed nature of the Wagner Group adds an additional layer of official oversight, enabling it to function as a quasi-governmental force rather than a private or semi-independent entity. This alignment underscores Moscow's strategic axis, providing a more officially supported presence throughout Africa, reducing reliance on semi-independent actors like Wagner.

The Russian Bear Brigade faces challenges in Africa, complicating its mission to support local governments such as the military council in Burkina Faso and Mali. One of the main issues is its recent partial withdrawal of 100 out of 300 elements it had in Burkina Faso to support Russian forces in Crimea, redirecting forces to Ukraine, weakening its impact on the ground and limiting its ability to deter rebel threats. Additionally, logistical challenges arise from working in conflict-prone areas with difficult terrains and limited infrastructure.

In conclusion, the Russian Bear Brigade represents a new phase in Russia's strategy to expand its influence in Africa through quasi-military operations overseen by the state. By solidifying its military participation under state supervision, Russia works to enhance its influence through a framework that blends military presence with diplomatic support, creating a more cohesive and sustainable foothold on the continent.

Just under three-quarters felt anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia had become more widespread

A majority of Muslims feel Islamophobia and hate against them has become more widespread since the summer riots, but around half also feel able to be more open about their identity, according to a survey.

Tell Mama, a charity monitoring such incidents, said its latest survey indicated that one in two of those asked said they had become more open, mainly through conversations with friends and colleagues, about their Muslim identity after the violence which erupted following the Southport attack.

The organisation analysed, as part of the annual No2H8 campaign, the opinions of 750 Muslims across the UK eight weeks after disorder broke out in parts of England and Northern Ireland following the fatal stabbings of three young girls in Southport.

Tell Mama said just under three-quarters (71%) felt anti-Muslim hatred and Islamophobia had become more widespread since the unrest.

Almost two-thirds (62%) said the potential risk of harm to Muslim communities had since increased significantly or somewhat.

While one in three Muslims surveyed said they had considered leaving the UK as a result of the violence – which saw mosques and hotels housing asylum seekers targeted – 55% said they felt safe or very safe in the UK.

Iman Atta, Tell Mama director, said: “Many British Muslims are very scared at the moment. They need our government to show it hears their fears and is working to keep them safe.

“This poll is proof of the terrifying impact anti-Muslim hate and Islamophobia is having.

“More work must be done to reassure these people. And we need greater focus on supporting social cohesion in the worst affected areas. These findings should be a wake-up call for the Government.”

A Government spokesperson said: “These results are extremely concerning. Attacks and hatred against Muslim communities are unacceptable and we have been clear that we will seek to stamp out Islamophobia and racism wherever it occurs.

“All communities must feel safe, especially in places of worship, which is why we introduced the Protective Security for Mosques scheme and will continue to work with communities and across government to deliver a new approach to tackling racial and religious hatred.”

Achievement a ‘historic’ milestone for Kuwait University: Officials

In a historic achievement for Kuwait University, the World Health Organization (WHO) has officially designated the Sabah Al-Salem University City as a “Healthy City,” making it the first university in Kuwait to receive this recognition. This milestone was celebrated during a special ceremony in which certificates of accreditation were also presented to Dasmah and Al-Oyoun designating them as healthy cities.

The event, held at the Dana Hall on the Sabah Al-Salem university campus, was attended by Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Nader Al-Jallal, Minister of Health Dr Ahmad Al-Awadhi, WHO Regional Director Assad Hafeez, and Acting President of Kuwait University Osama Al-Saeed.

In his remarks, Minister Al-Awadhi expressed his pride that Kuwait University had become the first university in the country to earn the “Healthy City” designation locally. He also highlighted that, with the addition of Dasmah and Al-Oyoun, Kuwait now has seven officially recognized healthy cities, out of 18 registered in the WHO’s Regional Healthy Cities Network.

“We aim to expand the number of healthy cities in Kuwait to ten by the end of this year, with Qortuba, Al-Daiya, and Al-Shaab expected to pass WHO’s initial evaluation,” he said. Awadhi praised the collaborative efforts of the university, the Ministry of Health, and other stakeholders, emphasizing how this achievement reflects dedication to enhancing public health and community engagement.

Minister Al-Awadhi explained that the “Healthy Cities” initiative, launched by the WHO in 1986, aims to improve community health through partnerships between governments and civil society. The program focuses on fostering collaborations that lead to better health outcomes and quality of life.

WHO Regional Director Assad Hafeez also congratulated the university on its accreditation, noting that the Sabah Al-Salem campus’ commitment to creating a healthy and thriving community serves as an exemplary model. “Your dedication to health and well-being is a clear testament to your belief in enhancing the health and prosperity of your community,” he said. Hafeez further emphasized that during the WHO’s evaluation of the university campus, it was evident that health was integrated into the university’s daily operations. This integration not only enhances the success of the institution but also improves the health of students, staff, and workers, while promoting environmental, social, and economic sustainability.

The WHO official explained that the “Healthy University” concept is based on a comprehensive approach to health, with a focus on creating an educational environment and organizational culture that promotes health, well-being, and sustainability. He said the Healthy Cities Department at the Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the World Health Organization’s Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean, introduced the concept of healthy universities for the first time at Sabah Al-Salem University City. Since then, several other initiatives have been implemented in the region and launched based on the standards of the Healthy Cities Program.

Acting President of Kuwait University, Al-Saeed, explained that the university has worked to strengthen the concept of community partnerships, which has resulted in the global accreditation of the Sabah Al-Salem University campus as an integrated educational and health system. He noted that the campus serves approximately 50,000 students and university staff daily from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and experiences smooth traffic with around 50,000 cars.

He added that the university campus earned 110 points in the WHO’s assessment, meeting all necessary criteria for the “Healthy City” designation. Minister Al-Jallal described the WHO’s accreditation as a “historic achievement” for Kuwait University. He commended the collaborative efforts of various sectors in the country, noting that this recognition highlights Kuwait University’s role in integrating health into its academic and organizational structures. — KUNA

On the 411th day of the war on Gaza, more than 20 Palestinians have been killed since this morning, while the Israeli army announced 800 deaths among its ranks since October 7th. Hamas continues to resist the aggression and intensify its efforts to confront the gangs that are stealing humanitarian aid.

Today, 12 Palestinians were killed by the occupation forces shelling a house in the old Gaza Street in Jabalia town north of Gaza Strip, with several people still missing under the rubble of the house. Additionally, three citizens were killed and others injured in an airstrike on a residential apartment in the Sabra neighborhood south of Gaza City.

Civil defense also reported that one of its members was killed and three others were injured by the occupation forces while trying to evacuate the wounded in a residential apartment in the Sabra neighborhood in Gaza.

Three citizens were killed in an Israeli bombardment of a house in the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza, while another citizen was killed and others were injured when the occupation targeted a group of residents near the Pump School east of Rafah city in southern Gaza.

Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes early today on the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood southwest of Gaza City and the Beit Lahia town in the north of the Strip, with eyewitnesses reporting intense airstrikes and fire belts on Beit Lahia.

The fire belt tactic is being widely used by the Israeli army in its war on Gaza, using swarms of 30 to 100 fighter jets to attack a specific area, causing massive destruction and dozens of casualties among civilians.

Resistance Achievements:

Al-Qassam Brigades announced targeting Israeli occupation forces in the Netzarim axis with short-range 107 rockets, and broadcasted images of targeting a Merkava tank with a "Shawath" device on Dawas Street in the Fakhoura area west of Jabalia camp in northern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Al-Quds Brigades stated that its fighters engaged in fierce clashes at point-blank range with the invading Israeli soldiers near the al-Jenzir roundabout near the "Sulaim Abu Muslim" mosque in the center of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.

The enemy continues to suffer losses:

Israeli sources reported the death of an Israeli soldier in the Gaza battles, with Channel 12 stating that the Israeli army warned the political leadership that the military operation in Jabalia has been exhausted, and that moving to any other area would endanger the lives of the "captives".

Therefore, the Israeli army announced 800 deaths among its ranks since October 7, 2023. The military radio had reported that "the military operation in Jabalia has so far resulted in the deaths of 27 soldiers from the Israeli army", as Israel continues to commit daily massacres in Gaza, especially in the northern besieged area.

The text translates to:

"And it was mentioned that 'the army is working on cleansing the Jabalia area and northern Gaza to implement a plan to bring in humanitarian aid through a private American company.'

The plan to stay in Gaza

The Israeli army radio reported that the goal of the military operation in Jabalia and northern Gaza has become clearer, adding that the goal is 'to clean and purify an area in favor of the plan to bring in humanitarian aid through a private American company that will operate in the area under Israeli sponsorship.'

It indicated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Yisrael Katz held a session in Gaza Brigade to discuss the plan to distribute aid in the north through an American company and the cabinet will discuss it tomorrow.

It said, 'The plan requires the army to stay in Jabalia for at least 3 months and the American company will need between 60 to 90 days to start its work.'

Hamas launches a campaign to kill gangs that steal aid trucks

Gaza is experiencing widespread disorder, the most severe and aggressive during the ongoing Israeli genocide war for more than a year, with street gangs emerging at the start of the conflict, hijacking trucks and attacking residents to steal their possessions; causing a severe food shortage and a climate of fear and apprehension among the population, prompting Hamas to re-establish security units to tackle this alarming situation.

Near the Israeli commercial Kerem Shalom crossing with Gaza, there are a large number of road gangs between the bushes and destroyed residential buildings, waiting for trucks loaded with flour and food supplies to arrive, and then they rob, steal, and sell them at high prices, and these actions have caused a shortage in the services provided by relief organizations working in Gaza, whose warehouses are now empty due to aid theft.

The Israeli army provides cover for the gangs by specifying certain passages for drivers to use after exiting the commercial crossing, and (29) international organizations have announced that Israel is involved in allowing gangs to loot aid, spreading hunger and chaos in Gaza, with the army deliberately killing groups securing aid, while allowing road gangs to steal trucks by forcing drivers to stop at gunpoint, steal the trucks, and empty their contents into agricultural lands.

With American support, Israel has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in around 148,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, with over 10,000 missing, amid massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world."

The Israeli occupation forces continue to commit the crime of genocide in the Gaza Strip, for the 410th consecutive day, through dozens of airstrikes and artillery shelling, while committing massacres against civilians amidst a catastrophic humanitarian situation due to the siege and the displacement of more than 95% of the population.

Correspondents reported that the occupation aircraft and artillery continued their violent airstrikes and shelling on various areas of the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, targeting homes, displaced people's gatherings, and streets, resulting in dozens of martyrs and wounded.

Medical sources announced on Tuesday that the death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 43,972, the majority of whom are children and women, since the beginning of the Israeli occupation aggression on October 7, 2023.

The sources also indicated that the number of injuries has risen to 104,008 since the beginning of the aggression, while thousands of victims remain under the rubble.

They mentioned that the occupation forces committed 3 massacres, resulting in the martyrdom of 50 citizens and the injury of 110 others.

The occupation forces continue their ground invasion of wide areas in Rafah since May 7 last year, as well as several axes in Gaza amidst aerial and artillery bombardment and the commission of horrific massacres, as well as demolition operations of civilians' homes in Jabaliya camp.

For the 46th consecutive day, northern Gaza continues to suffer under Israeli siege and starvation amidst intense aerial and artillery bombardment, and complete isolation of the northern governorate from Gaza.

For the 28th day, the occupation forces continue to forcibly disrupt the work of civil defense in northern Gaza as a result of the continuous Israeli targeting and aggression, leaving thousands of citizens there without humanitarian and medical care.

The occupation artillery shelled various areas in Jabaliya camp and Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.

The young man Mahmoud Saleem Muhaddun was martyred after being shot by an occupation Quadcopter in Beit Lahia, north of Gaza.

The young man Ibrahim Muhammad Al-Shafi'i was martyred in the continuous shelling by the occupation in northern Gaza.

Local sources reported finding the body of the martyr Baraa Ayman Abu Asse in the town of Bani Suhaila east of Khan Younis after he went missing since last January.

The occupation aircraft bombed residential buildings in the center of Rafah city in southern Gaza.

The occupation army demolished residential buildings in the vicinity of Jabaliya camp in northern Gaza.

Political analyst and thinker, Dr. Shafiq Al-Ghabra, a professor of political science at Kuwait University, described the current events in Palestinian territories and the escalating confrontations as a "popular uprising", marking a new wave of resistance after years of buildup. He emphasized that what distinguishes this uprising is that it is "civil" and reveals the true face of the occupation and its racist practices.

Al-Ghabra explained the factors that led to this natural result, including political deadlocks, lack of solutions, increasing settlement expansion that poses a greater threat to Al-Aqsa Mosque, widespread unemployment among youths, university graduates, and illiterates.

He added that there is a major dilemma that has led Palestinian youth to this situation, also influenced by the Arab conditions that have stirred the young Arab generation. Palestinian youth seek to express themselves with a Palestinian identity in alignment with the Arab youth movement, aiming to stop Jewish settlements, counter occupation, and halt the killings perpetrated by Israel.

He stressed that the ongoing violence, segregation, and oppression against Arab citizens in 1948 territories reflect a large-scale racism in their daily lives and activities.

Al-Ghabra pointed out that the suffocating blockade on Gaza before, during, and after the war, alongside the blocked horizons, inevitably lead to these results.

Regarding this uprising and whether it will be a temporary phase like previous Palestinian waves of anger, he affirmed that the level of Palestinian resistance has risen. However, it may not resemble the first intifada or the second one, stating that it will be different, a civil wave that rises, falls, rises again, falls again, coming and disappearing, manifesting in a deeper way.

He warned that this will be the nature of the next stage, where resistance will expose the Zionist movement and Israel's racist policies, placing significant international and Arab pressures on Israel to disclose the true face of its occupation. This will make the occupation accountable, responsible, and constantly seeking to shift blame onto the victim, marking the beginning of a new phase that will deepen Palestinian resistance, confrontations, and expose the Israeli situation with a focus on Netanyahu's government.
