A Call for Generosity

The authority called on charitable individuals to promptly give their Zakat Al-Fitr in support of the most needy groups, affirming the meanings of Islamic solidarity, citing the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Fortify your wealth with Zakat, and heal your sick with charity," as well as his saying: "The generous man is close to God, close to people, close to Paradise, and far from Hell."

Encouragement to Donate

The authority emphasized that the door of giving is open, and that every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant impact on the lives of those in need, providing them with a sense of hope for a dignified life. It pointed out that donations can be made through the various channels of the authority to ensure the timely delivery of Zakat to its rightful owners, thanks to the efforts of its field teams, offices abroad, and partners who work diligently and transparently to ensure assistance reaches those in need.

Al-Dalal: The American Policy of Extortion Targets Kuwait, Calling for a New Strategy

Criticism of American Policies

In light of the international political developments, former MP Muhammad Hussein Al-Dalal expressed his dissatisfaction with the style of the American administration during the term of former President Donald Trump, characterized by excitement and controversy, condemning the approach the United States takes in dealing with countries and peoples without respecting international law and UN charters. Al-Dalal pointed out, in a post on the platform "X," that the Trump administration did not hesitate to insult the State of Kuwait, despite it being a strategic ally and friend of the United States. He condemned the financial exploitation practiced by this administration under the pretext of "liberating Kuwait." He added that Kuwait has substantial investments inside America, and it would have been more appropriate to respond with gratitude and appreciation rather than insult.

Suggestions for Addressing External Challenges

Developing a New Strategy

Al-Dalal emphasized the need to develop a new strategy that aligns with regional and international developments, asserting that traditional alliances may not be sufficient. He referred to the European experience in rearranging its foreign priorities.

Engaging National Expertise

He called for involving Kuwaiti experienced figures in shaping foreign policy, by consulting seasoned diplomatic individuals such as Abdulallah Al-Bashar and Suleiman Al-Shahin, among others with extensive diplomatic experience.

Utilizing Research and Influence Centers

Al-Dalal noted that some countries have utilized research centers and international lobbies to tackle external challenges, similar to what Qatar did during its Gulf crisis. He suggested that Kuwait could adopt this approach to enhance its diplomatic position.

Building Popular Support

He affirmed that the official position needs significant public backing, which requires achieving internal stability and avoiding any decisions that might undermine the people’s trust in the government. This would bolster Kuwait’s position against external challenges.

Reviving National Assembly’s Role

Al-Dalal pointed out that the National Assembly had previously played an important role in supporting Kuwaiti governments against regional and international financial exploitation. This role should be reactivated to ensure the protection of Kuwait's interests.

Harnessing Soft Power

Al-Dalal highlighted that Kuwait possesses important diplomatic tools that can be effectively exploited, such as its constitutional system established since 1962, which enhances its image as a state of institutions. Additionally, its leadership in charitable and humanitarian work represents a significant soft power that boosts its international standing.

A Prayer for Kuwait’s Protection

Al-Dalal concluded his remarks with prayers for Kuwait, asking God to protect it from all harm, emphasizing that the current phase requires unity and diligent work to protect the country’s independence and safeguard its sovereignty from any attempts at exploitation or external dominance.
