Israeli breach of the Gaza agreement: deadly Raids on the Strip.
In a scene that reaffirms the
occupation’s pattern of evading its commitments, the Zionist
entity violated the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, targeting
residential neighborhoods and displacement camps with a series of intense
airstrikes that left dozens of martyrs and wounded, including women and
children.
This Israeli
escalation comes as a blatant challenge to international efforts aimed at
maintaining calm and a clear disregard for the guarantees accompanying the
agreement, raising questions about the occupation’s sincerity in respecting any
political or humanitarian understandings.
This bloody
escalation quickly materialized in successive airstrikes launched by the
occupation army on various areas of the Strip. Medical sources reported that 63
Palestinians, including 24 children, were martyred as a result of bombings that
targeted homes and tents of displaced people across different parts of Gaza on
Tuesday evening, following the breach of the agreement, according to Anadolu
Agency.
Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued orders to his army to launch “strong and
immediate attacks” on Gaza, in a blatant violation of the recently signed
U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement.
The occupation launched dozens of
airstrikes across various areas of the Strip, claiming that an “Israeli”
soldier was killed by a sniper in Rafah. The attacks caused massive destruction
and resulted in civilian casualties.
U.S. justification for the Israeli
escalation
In Washington, U.S. President Donald Trump
said that “Israel” has the right to respond, considering Hamas a small part of
the Middle East agreement. He added, “Nothing will threaten the ceasefire in
Gaza. They killed an Israeli soldier, so the Israelis responded — and they
should have responded.”
For its part, the Islamic Resistance
Movement (Hamas) denied any involvement in the shooting incident in Rafah,
affirming its full commitment to the ceasefire agreement.
In a statement, Hamas said that the
criminal bombardment carried out by the fascist occupation army on areas of the
Gaza Strip constitutes a blatant violation of the agreement signed in Sharm
El-Sheikh under the sponsorship of U.S. President Trump.
The movement added that this terrorist
attack is an extension of a series of violations committed by the occupation in
recent days, including assaults that resulted in martyrs and injuries, as well
as the continued closure of the Rafah crossing, in an attempt to sabotage the
agreement.
Hamas called on mediators and
guarantor parties to take immediate action to pressure the occupation and curb
its brutal escalation against civilians in the Gaza Strip.
The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military
wing of Hamas, announced on Tuesday evening the postponement of the handover of
an Israeli prisoner’s body as a result of the occupation’s violations.
The Brigades said any Zionist
escalation would obstruct search, digging and recovery operations, which would
delay the occupation's retrieval of its dead.
Documenting Israeli violations of the
Gaza agreement
In the same context, the Gaza
government media office stated that since the ceasefire came into effect, the
occupation has committed over 125 violations, resulting in the martyrdom of 94
civilians and injuring 344 others. It reported 52 shooting incidents, 9
incursions into residential neighborhoods, 55 bombardments, 11 demolitions of
civilian buildings, and the arrest of 21 citizens.
The office called on U.S. President
Donald Trump and the guarantor countries to assume their responsibilities and
pressure the occupation to comply with the agreement and immediately halt its
violations.
It also urged the full and permanent
opening of crossings to facilitate the entry of humanitarian and medical aid,
the opening of the Rafah crossing to transfer the wounded and sick for
treatment abroad, and the entry of shelter supplies before the humanitarian
crisis worsens, threatening the lives of over 2.4 million people in the Gaza Strip
with the onset of winter.
