10 Zionist Organizations Racing to Demolish Al-Aqsa
Al-Aqsa Mosque faces
relentless, systematic threats aimed at erasing its historical and religious
identity — driven by extremist movements wielding expansionist ideologies bent
on Judaizing Islamic holy sites.
In this
cautionary context, Dr. Omar Suleiman Al-Ashqar, in his book "And They
Utterly Destroyed What They Had Conquered," warned of the dangers of
this institutional infiltration — drawing on research by Palestinian scholar
Nizar Hamid documenting the most prominent entities established specifically to
execute this scheme.
Despite
the varying facades of these organizations — ranging from religious
associations and political parties to covert military cells and volunteer
patronages — they all share a single creed and a defined strategic objective:
seizing Al-Aqsa's courtyards by force, demolishing its structure, and paving
the way for the establishment of what they call the so-called "Third
Temple."
Below is
a detailed overview of the most prominent organizations forming the spearhead
of this scheme:
1. The "Temple Trustees" Group
An
extremist religious group seeking to Judaize the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound,
headquartered in occupied Jerusalem with a branch in the United States through
which radical Christians from California provide it with financial backing. The
group's primary stated goal is rebuilding the so-called "Third
Temple" in place of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
2. The "Gush Emunim" Movement
Meaning
"Bloc of the Faithful," the movement also calls itself the Zionist
Renewal Movement. Founded by Moshe Levinger in May 1974, it is an extremist
religious mass movement that seeks to establish settlements in the West Bank
and Gaza Strip, works toward building the "Temple" on the ruins of
Al-Aqsa, and believes in violence as a means to achieve that end.
Most of
its members are youth from religious schools affiliated with the far-right
"Mafdal" party, and the movement includes a number of Israel's most
prominent and well-known rabbis.
3. The "Chai VeKayam" Movement (The Ever-Living, The
Self-Subsisting):
The exact
date of this movement's emergence is unknown. Most of its members — estimated
in the hundreds — live in the "Gush Etzion" settlement, and are
predominantly officers from elite units. Among its leaders are Mordechai Karpal
and Yehuda Etzion, who was a member of the Jewish underground and the
mastermind behind a plot to bomb Al-Aqsa Mosque in the early 1980s.
4. The "Hatehiya" Movement (The Renaissance):
A right-wing
political movement that presents itself as secular, yet is considered one of
the most extremist and racist terrorist movements within the Zionist entity. It
was joined by a faction from "Gush Emunim" and the "Movement of
Loyalists to the Whole Land of Israel." The movement is focused on seizing
control of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, believing that doing so would secure
Israel's sovereignty and power.
5. The "Kach" Movement (Jewish Defense League):
A
far-right movement founded in 1972 by American-born rabbi Meir Kahane, who
represented his movement in the eleventh Zionist parliament in 1984. Kahane is
known for his Talmudic views calling for the forcible expulsion of Palestinian
Arabs from all of Palestine to leave it exclusively for Jews. Among his
followers was Goodman, who carried out an attack on Al-Aqsa on April 11, 1982,
resulting in the killing and wounding of a number of Muslims.
Kahane
paid his legal fees until he was released.
6. The "Kahane Chai" Movement:
An
extremist right-wing terrorist movement that does not differ from the Kach
movement in terms of ideology, though personal rivalries exist between the
leaders of the two movements. Its external activities are coordinated by
Yochtamniel Yaakov, who carries a bloody criminal record.
Members
of this movement — most of them American Jews — believe that the "Jewish
people" are sacred and that the land of "Israel" is sacred, as
it protects the people spiritually, religiously, and naturally. Members of this
group, numbering around 200 — including 30 young women — train in hand-to-hand
combat, close-quarters fighting, and light weapons at a private training camp
in America.
It is
worth noting that Zionist authorities issued rulings designating both
"Kach" and "Kahane Chai" as outlawed organizations, in an
attempt to prevent them from employing violent means against Palestinians.
7. The "Hasmoneans" Group:
One of
the fascist terrorist groups, led by Yoel Lerner, whose exact founding date is
unknown. Its members became notorious for resorting to extreme violence and
possessing high military expertise — a result of channeling their post-military
service toward the goal of seizing Jerusalem by force, in open defiance of the
government's step-by-step policy, and demanding the expulsion of all Arab
residents from Jerusalem.
Notably,
the group attempted to bomb the Dome of the Rock in July 1982, but the attempt
failed when the explosive charges were discovered before detonation.
8. The "Beitar" Organization (Revisionist Youth
Organization):
A Zionist
organization founded in 1923, with branches in a number of countries in
addition to its presence in Israel. It is focused on conducting Jewish prayers
within the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound.
9. The "Tzomet" Movement (meaning
"Crossroads"):
An
extremist nationalist movement founded in 1983 by former Zionist Army Chief of
Staff Rafael Eitan, who was known as one of the most extreme advocates of
violence against Arabs during his tenure as Chief of Staff. The movement seeks
to center Zionism as its doctrine, believing it to be the movement charged with
restoring glory to the land of Zion. It insists on keeping a unified Jerusalem
as the capital of "Israel" under its sovereignty.
10. The "Siurey Tzion" Organization:
A
volunteer association operating under the supervision of the
"Glitzta" religious school, presenting itself in the form of a
charitable organization. It receives support from the Zionist Ministry of
Education, the Jerusalem municipality, and the army. Its goal is to deepen
awareness of the so-called "Temple" among Jews in general and the
military in particular, and it organizes regular tours to Jewish religious
sites in Jerusalem.
Supporting
this organization is the "Ateret Cohanim" religious school, located
in the Islamic Quarter of Arab Jerusalem, which prepares the workforce for the
conspiracy against the holy city.
